Itinerary

Meet your guide at your selected time to begin your Herculaneum tour, which takes you through the ancient ruins in a child-centered way. An outdoor history museum, the World Heritage site offers insight into a world frozen in time by Mt. Vesuvius' eruption.

After entering with your skip-the-line ticket, your guide leads you around the archaeological site, where structures are preserved by ash and lava. Riccardo was excellent, engaging and highly informative. Made it interesting and applicable not only for us but also our primary school aged children. Herculaneum was more enjoyable for us than Pompeii because it is much smaller, the children could better understand what life would have been like, and appreciate how the city was buried with the surrounding suburbs nearby.
