Superb Schonbrunn!

This is a great way to tour the palace and a lot of the grounds. There is a lot of walking from the train station to the entrance of the palace, but there is so much to see and take photos of. Rafaele took us through the palace and the. Through much of the grounds. Then we walked up to the Gloriette on our own. It was easy to take the underground from town to the palace and back to our shop on the Danube.

Our excursion was truly unforgettable. We began at a quaint restaurant with one-of-a-kind amenities that left a lasting impression. Next, we strolled around a serene lake, taking in the tranquil atmosphere. Hallstatt was simply breathtaking! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and patient, translating commentary into two languages. Although we weren't dropped off at our hotel as planned, the alternative location near the Opera House was conveniently close to our accommodation.

We had absolutely great international group in this trip. Our guide&driver Martin was so great and he took very good care of us. He made our day so special. We had two different tasting session. The first one included some information about wine making. We had traditional two course lunch during the second tasting. I can highly recommend this trip for everyone.

I recently did the day...

I recently did the day trip to Melk Abbey, Hallstatt, and Salzburg from Vienna. It’s definitely a packed and ambitious itinerary, but I’ve done similar trips in other countries before so I knew what to expect in terms of time spent on the bus and shorter stops in each location. Our guide, Sofia, was pleasant, informative, and gave very clear instructions throughout the day, which helped keep everything organized and running smoothly. Unfortunately, the weather really changed the experience. It started to downpour, which made it difficult to fully appreciate and explore the beauty of Salzburg. The local guide in Salzburg was also difficult to hear and follow, so I decided to leave the group portion and explore on my own instead. Despite the weather, I’d still recommend this tour if you want to see little snippets of Austria outside of Vienna in a short amount of time. Melk Abbey and Hallstatt were beautiful to see, and the itinerary gives a nice overview of different parts of the country. I’d just strongly recommend doing it on a sunny or clear day if possible.

Highly Recommended! Do it!

I had Darko drive me around some of the most spectacular towns and mountains I have ever seen. He also acted as my photographer and gave me tips of places to go as he would drop me off at Salzburg, Hallstatt and Melk etc so I felt like a VIP with my own driver, who has good knowledge of the areas but also lets you do your own thing. This is an excellent experience if we want to pack a lot of excellent sightseeing in Austria in 1 day as well as being entertained by the funny, knowledgeable and accommodating Darko!

Great Tour.

Great trip but mix review. First....our guide Pavel was excellent. Got picked up at 8:30 am at hotel. He is very knowledgeable, showed historical sites, historical buildings and he brings a notebook with photos of what the sites looked liked after the war to compare with now. He is very patient and answers any and all question to give a good perspective on things. Budapest cities is fascinating. As many of these former Soviet block countries are. Its actually Buda and Pest. Pavel will explain. Very busy towns...with shops..and places to see and wonder....and to create great memories. As the trip shows this is a 12 hrs or more trip. So be ready for long drives. Be aware that speed limits are about 133 km per hour so a lot of fast driving. Do to traffic, which Pavel had no control over the trip was longer than we liked. Several construction areas on the road to Budapest...the main cause. Pavel was accommodating even stopping at a McDonalds (per request) about an hour into the trip for 2 guest who did not have breakfast...and for bathroom break. Which was great. We did get to both towns. Bratislava did it last do to logistics but it made sense because is the town closer to Vienna which we needed to return to. But got there a little later in the day....so ended up coming back to Vienna about 10pm. Bratislava was amazing will have to go back there one day since it was a short time there compare to Budapest. But...all in all..10 out of 10 for the tour. Traffic...and the delays not so good. Again, Pavel had no control over that. I think the tour to Budapest should not include Bratislava at this time. Is a bit much with all the construction. We could have stayed in Budapest longer. Just a thought on that last part but this is what the tour is about. One more thing, Pavel did sent us several photos that he took which was nice. Great to include with all the photos we took. 2 included here with Pavel wearing the cool hat. Wonderful tour

We were shown the most authentic food venues in town, with the best variety. Our group was small, only 6 tourists. As we moved from one restaurant to another, I switched to “tasting mode” so that I could try everything offered, while others ate pretty much all the food offered, which was a lot. In addition to dishes we were offered a very fancy ice cream, coffee, Austrian wine, and other local drinks. Our tour guides (we had two) had a good command of the English language; we had a friendly discussion. Highly recommend this tour.

A freaking amazing!

We arrived early and took in the beauty of the church. The music was amazing! Coming from a family of musicians especially violinists, the talent was exceptional. I was actually was sorry it was over I would certainly recommend it to anyone who loves music and even those who don’t. The instrumentation was flawless as they all blended beautifully. Could not recommend it enough!

Book direct, we made our own way to the desk, checked in, then taken to our seats which to be fair we weren’t expecting, We were sat in the isle not the pews, consequently low down. Didn’t really see why we need Viator, sorry, I guess I wanted reassurance but only booked did I find that the purchaser is own their own

Best tour I have taken!

The communication from my tour guide, Dace, started the day before on where to meet and what to look for (the green umbrella made it incredibly stress free). Dace was engaging and personal and I loved her ability to weave humour into historical facts. I truly was amazed at all of the knowledge she is able to retain and share. Her photos that she brings and incorporates into her overview also provides an in-depth look at Vienna then and now. I have been on several tours and Dace has now set the bar pretty high. I cannnot recommend taking her tour enough, if you are coming to Vienna. Thanks Dace!

This was a great tour. ...

This was a great tour. Our guide Taras had very good knowledgeable of Vienna and explained to us much of the history of the city. He was a good driver too! The tour of the underground lake was also fascinating. It was spooky and beautiful at the same time. It was interesting to learn all the things it had been used for; first, a mine, then , during WWII , a place to build plane parts, and then ,as a tourist attraction. The castle was neat to see. It looked very old and foreboding. It's too bad we weren't able to enter, though we knew this was the case.
