Fantastic company. They were prompt, organized, and very reliable. Alexander gave us a thorough history on the regions where we traveled. The monastery, fairytale village of Hallstatt and Salzburg were all delightful and our guide in Salzburg was wonderful as well. Don't visit Austria without seeing this part of the country. The mountains and lakes are stunning! It was also fun to talk with people in the group from other countries. A great shared adventure!

Fantastic stories

Our guide had a wealth of entertaining stories, including a bomb falling through the ceiling of the grand hall during world war 2, but not luckily not exploding, sparing a magnificent ceiling fresco from extensive damage. He also related how the Habsburg practice of marrying cousins over several generations resulted in terrible deformities and infertility, nearly ending the Habsburg dynasty by preventing the birth of heirs. Also he gave tremendous detail on key decorative elements of each room and the horrendous sanitary practices of the time.

We had absolutely great international group in this trip. Our guide&driver Martin was so great and he took very good care of us. He made our day so special. We had two different tasting session. I had Darko drive me around some of the most spectacular towns and mountains I have ever seen. He also acted as my photographer and gave me tips of places to go as he would drop me off at Salzburg, Hallstatt and Melk etc so I felt like a VIP with my own driver, who has good knowledge of the areas but also lets you do your own thing. This is an excellent experience if we want to pack a lot of excellent sightseeing in Austria in 1 day as well as being entertained by the funny, knowledgeable and accommodating Darko!

Wonderful tour

We were shown the most authentic food venues in town, with the best variety. Our group was small, only 6 tourists. As we moved from one restaurant to another, I switched to “tasting mode” so that I could try everything offered, while others ate pretty much all the food offered, which was a lot. In addition to dishes we were offered a very fancy ice cream, coffee, Austrian wine, and other local drinks. Our tour guides (we had two) had a good command of the English language; we had a friendly discussion. Highly recommend this tour.

Best tour I have taken!

The communication from my tour guide, Dace, started the day before on where to meet and what to look for (the green umbrella made it incredibly stress free). Dace was engaging and personal and I loved her ability to weave humour into historical facts. I truly was amazed at all of the knowledge she is able to retain and share. Her photos that she brings and incorporates into her overview also provides an in-depth look at Vienna then and now. I have been on several tours and Dace has now set the bar pretty high. I cannnot recommend taking her tour enough, if you are coming to Vienna. Thanks Dace!

This was a great tour. Our guide Taras had very good knowledgeable of Vienna and explained to us much of the history of the city. He was a good driver too! The tour of the underground lake was also fascinating. It was spooky and beautiful at the same time. It was interesting to learn all the things it had been used for; first, a mine, then , during WWII , a place to build plane parts, and then ,as a tourist attraction. The castle was neat to see. It looked very old and foreboding. It's too bad we weren't able to enter, though we knew this was the case.
