Day trip of Budapest and Bratislava from Vienna

Sebastian was an excellent driver and fun to chat with. Very long day trip, started at 7am and got back to town at 9pm but we got to be in 3 countries in one day. It was a great way to see highlights of Budapest & Brakislava even though our trip didn't allow us time to stay in those cities. We had plenty of time needed at each stop; Buda, Pest, Brakislava. The last stop was the castle in Brakislava we had a great walking tour, beautiful gardens and viewpoints. Sebastian gave us the locations of highlights at each stop so we could self tour. There was plenty of free time for sightseeing & eating. One thing that would have made this tour better would have a been meeting a local tour guide in budapest to take a deeper dive into the history rather than just the highlights. It also would have been nice to go inside the Bratislava castle but it was closed due to government business.

Schonbrunn Palace is breathtaking

Schönbrunn Palace was one of the highlights of our visit to Vienna. The palace is beautiful, and the gardens are absolutely breathtaking. Dieter was out guide and he was amazing—such a great sense of humor! We loved learning about the history of the Habsburg family and walking through the impressive grounds. Be sure to allow plenty of time to explore and purchase tickets in advance. A must-see when visiting Vienna!

The experience was amazing. We managed to fit visiting Hallstatt and Salzburg in such a whole day. Sofia was an amazing tour guide and gave us all the recommendations even after the tour had ended such as the Summer Film Festival. I cannot express how much this trip was worth and the views that came along with it, even in the bus ride.

All-time great food tour

I’ve done a lot of food tours, and this was one of my all time favorites! Cristoph was funny, helpful, and informative. He had great insights on not only food, but the history, culture, and people of the city. Learning to use public transportation and getting out of city center was a highlight, and opened up the city to us for the rest of our stay! We were STUFFED by the end, and had so many ideas for where to go next.

Awesome tour

It was a great tour. The tour guide was awesome. It was a very small group 4 in a van x2. We had plenty of time to explore around the castle but personally I would have loved to go inside but it was great. The Underground Lake and mine were a wonderful experience in my opinion. It does get cold inside the mine so bring a sweater or pay .50 cents for a blanket. Loved the set up for the wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed the wine. I rate it a ten.

Amazing Palace Tour

This review is only for the palace tour because due to weather we weren’t able to go to the gardens. We had a wonderful experience within the palace with our guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to learn a lot about the palace and the city of Vienna through this tour. We did visit the gardens at a later time and enjoyed a self guided walk through the area.

Great Vienna Food Tour

We had an excellent experience with our guide Zoltan. He was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We were very impressed by the food stops and enjoyed the meals. Zoltan was kind enough to provide some historical background during our walk as well which was a great benefit. The food portions were larger than expected, so have a light meal before. Overall, very happy with Secret Food Tours and our lovely guide Zoltan.

Higher level experience

I was with a group led by Olga. She was very knowledgeable and shared Lots of interesting information regarding the area, the history, customs and culture related to regions we traveled through and our destination. We spent a very pleasant evening at St. Peter’s church listening to some very talented musicians. The beautiful old church venue seemed a perfect fit for the music. I wonder if the seating could be made a bit more comfortable, but maybe that is the price to be paid for the surroundings of a 300 year old church.

Lovely time to three wineries

This excursion was so much fun! Harold, our guide, took us to three wineries outside Vienna. The drive was beautiful, and I learned so much about Austrian wine! We had seven people in a small van — not a big bus full of people. The others on the trip were all there to have a lovely time, which we did. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this excursion.

Outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Extremely convenient location from the U (subway), and gorgeous fountain/gardens outside. The church is breathtaking…a beautiful compliment to the music. The musicians and selections were perfect!! We would definitely recommend as a highlight to a trip.
