Fantastic tour!!

I would 100% recommend this trip! Our guide, Pedro, was fantastic! We had plenty of time to see everything plus more. Pedro kept everything running smoothly while keeping us entertained and giving a great commentary along the way. The bus was very nice and comfortable. I was a little nervous about taking a large group tour, but I would absolutely do this again! Be aware that there is a good bit of walking and stairs. Pay the 3.5€(must have cash) to take the shuttle up to the castle! We walked back down and that was fine. The restaurant that Pedro recommended was very good.

Very informative!

Sarah was amazing ! The level of knowledge she had on the tour was incredible and astounding! We learnt a lot and inspired us to learn more ! We mistakenly turned up a...

We mistakenly turned up a day early and thought we would have to come back again the next day. Thankfully we had a wonderful guide and driver who contacted the office and got permission for us to join their tour. We were given drinks and snacks at every stop which was really appreciated. The tour was well organised and the guide, Sabine did a wonderful job of entertaining us and keeping us on time so that we were able to enjoy each stop without being rushed. Surprisingly our favourite place was Lindenhof Castle. Would highly recommend this tour.

A necessary educational & emotional experience

This is a very emotional but necessary, rewarding, and important. I did two tours today with Jake, who was absolutely phenomenal. I am a teacher myself, and it is not hard to spot a good teacher when I see one in any capacity. Jake had phenomenal historical knowledge that he was able to blend seamlessly into the connections he made with the group as well as sharing some of his own family history. It was an enriching, educational experience. It is highly emotional and heavy in that sense, but something we all need to be cognizant of in such tense political climates. In total I did 3 tours with Radius Tours while I stayed in Munich and each one was fabulous. You won’t regret!

Coasting through Germany

Dave is a fun guide with lots of knowledge about the area. From start to finish, it was well organized and we were kept on time for everything. The meal was nice too. Be warned! The coaster can leave marks! My shoulders didn't quite fit the seat so I ended up with bruising, so did another gal. Still worth the chair lift up for the views...be sure to look behind you as you go up...stunning! The castle was good, though you don't get much of a tour of it. Only a few rooms are shown, so I don't know if it's worth €26. I think the alternative would be exploring the village and swimming in the lake, so bring a suit and towel if the castle isn't your scene. I think that having to pay additional fees for everything is a bit frustrating, as it isn't always convenient to carry cash. I would have preferred to pay it all up front in my overall tour cost.

The VIP tour was worth every penny. Courtney was interesting and full of helpful hints. The snacks and free beer at the end were most welcome. Take her advice and take the bus to Mary’s Bridge then walk downhill to the castle. Walk all the way back to the village after the tour. It’s a brutal uphill walk to get back to the bus for a return trip. We loved this excursion- every stop was well planned out and perfectly executed.

Outstanding tour and guide (Leon)

Wonderful day trip and outstanding guide, LEON! Before the trip we were wondering will 10 hours feel like too long? And the answer is - No! Leon was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. He made the bus ride fly by and the castle is so beautiful and interesting. I highly recommend this tour.

It is worth upgrading to...

It is worth upgrading to the premium experience as there is a smaller group and snacks and drinks available throughout the day. Faizen was a wonderful guide - he knew the timing of when to get to the Marienbrucke to take photos of the castle to ensure we could make our castle tour in time.

Lucia was an EXCELLENT guide and made the long day trip a phenomenal experience! She shared great history, tailored the perspectives shared to meet the various preferences in our small group, and gave absolutely wonderful and practical recommendations to make the day super successful (where to eat, how to pace your free time, best bathrooms and free water, etc.)! She was funny, delightful, and made the trip a wholly positive and memorable one for both of us! Our only recommendation is for the tour company - these suggestions are nothing Lucia controls. Have a better initial meeting place (where we met for the tour was a sketchy area of panhandlers) and then we had a 10+ minute hike to get from there to the train on time. Could there be a better meeting place so neither of these would occur - it starts the day off on the wrong vibe.
