Wonderful!

I was fortunate to have Fritz as my driver and guide for the day, he was terrific. We had a very nice group of people in the minivan. The drive itself is absolutely beautiful. If you go to the salt mines, you will only have two hours afterwards to see the town of Hallstatt. The salt mines are great fun but I really wish we’d had another hour in the town itself as the wait for lunch was long due to the amount of tourists there I did not get a chance to explore the town much. Fritz recommended a nice restaurant for lunch and it was delicious but it took a long time to get served which distracted from our time in the town. As a recent widow, I was very grateful to be with a group of friendly people who took me under their wing. The memories will be with me for a lifetime.

It was nice to visit the places where they filmed the Sound of music. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The driver was great as well. Highly recommend it. We get to see the church in Monsee where they supposed to get married which is a country side. Beautiful ride and magnificent view indeed. Thank you.

Just beautiful!!

Absolutely the highlight of our trip. We were blessed with gorgeous 77 degree weather and full sun in late September and it was stunning. Our driver, Fritz was so thoughtful the whole time and pointed out many sights along the way. We stopped in St. Gilgen by the water and it was just jaw dropping. Then we stopped in the cutest little town and had breakfast and it was just perfect. Hallstatt was everything and more, just wish we had one more hour! Definitely rent a mini electric boat for 30mins, explore the church and beautiful cemetery, of course check out the famous picture spot but beware the bushes are surrounded by bees!! We got lunch but wish we would’ve got on the funicular sooner because once we did it was gorgeous and we wish we could’ve done the sky walk. Overall amazing experience and I would love to come back to Hallstatt and St. Gilgen or do a road trip again to explore all the beautiful little towns and lakes in this region!!!

Magical evening Salzburg

The highlight of a wonderful 2 days in Salzburg. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with the Gold package. Window seats over looking the Alps, a delicious 4 course meal with 2 x 1/2 bottles of wine and water. Then to top it off, we went up to the top of the fort (indoors) for a magnificent Mozart/ and others concert played by a fine string quartet and a special appearance of Piano virtuoso.

Excellent tour of the Eagle’s Nest

Excellent tour. Knowledgeable tour guide on history including the town of Salzburg and the Eagle’s Nest. The visit to the Eagle’s Nest included a short walk up to the top to see the valley. Afterwards, we went to Berchtesgaden and had a choice of 3 restaurants for lunch (cost not included in ticket). We went to Edelweiss and the Caesar salad and pizza were very tasty - and service quick and friendly. Highly recommend this tour.

This was a very informative, fun and relaxed tour. Our guide gave us lots of historical and musical information. She was very well informed and patient while we all took numerous photos. We had about 16-8 people in 5 separate groupings; by the end of the tour we all clicked as 1.

The commentator, Max, was great. He confirmed the language the majority of people spoke prior to leaving. He provide facts and jokes on the drive up but kept it to a level people could follow. Never gave too much such that you could not remember the last fact. He even stopped at time to provide updates to a couple that didn’t speak English (language used for our trip). Prior to arriving he gave options of things to do in town and around it like the funicular to the salt mines and overlook point. Our driver, Sammy, handled the bus expertly.

Mozart magic! Chamber music at the top of the Hohensalzburg Fortress!

Incredible experience. Easy to take the funicular train to the Fortress. Go a bit early so you can walk around. Wear flat shoes for stairs, cobblestones and sandy pathways. The concert is at the very top of the Fortress in a gorgeous room with amazing acoustics for chamber music. The artists are so very talented. We purchased a sparkling white wine to enjoy during the concert.

The concert hall was gorgeous. The venue of historic significance and the music transcendental. Special shout out to Matthias Matthew Beckmann- amazing performance and grace. Next morning ran into him at a local coffee shop. So down to earth and friendly. Had a great time and my son is a fan!

Salt Mine Tour

The Salt Mine Tour was not only fun, but extremely interesting. We got to dress up as miners and ride deep into the mine, we slid down two slides and even used a boat to get across one stretch of water! It was a really unique experience, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

Maroine was outstanding. We began our time in Salzburg with his tour, and it was the perfect introduction to the city. He thoughtfully showed us all the key sights, explaining not just what we were seeing, but the history and stories behind each place. As non-German speakers, we were a bit intimidated by the language barrier at first, but Maroine immediately put us at ease. He was patient, welcoming, and generous with his knowledge—offering excellent recommendations and graciously answering all of our questions. By the end of the tour, we didn’t just feel informed—we felt confident. We walked away with a true understanding of Salzburg, a curated list of places we were excited to explore (and even revisit), and the comfort to navigate the city on our own.
