We had an interesting virtual reality experience on Venice history and a lovely boat ride in Venice. However, we never went under the Bridge of Sighs.

There is no commentary about what you see along the way and nothing of interest is pointed out. Didn’t even know which bridge was the bridge of sighs. The boat ride itself was fine and we appreciated the talent of the gondoliers to navigate those narrow waterways.

While the description is not wrong, it was misleading. The 15 minute introduction was a 20 minute VR set and then a 20ish minute gondola ride. It was good but we wish it was longer.

This gondola ride was pretty basic with no conversation between you and the gondola staff. I was expecting maybe a little music, but there was none. Lasted about 30 minutes. I can cross it off my bucket list.

We historical presentation prior to the gondola ride was enjoyable and quite informative. The gondola ride was the last experience of our stay in Venice before flying home and was the perfect ending to our visit!

During our gondola ride they were not able to go under the bridge of sighs but they gave us a nice little ride. Half was on the sea side the other half was in a canal. Our Gondolier was talking more to other Gondoliers that we passed more than engaging with us.

Was very uneventful, no character and the experiece was suppose to go under bridge of soul and did not, Also no disclaimer on stepping into some water to get into the boat at the entry. I would not
recommend or use this service again.

Terrible! We were not able to go on the experience due to a change of plans that happened less than 24 hours from the trip. I went to the gondola office a half hour before the boat ride. I wanted to give the ride to some friends who could have gone on the ride, but I wasn't allowed to transfer the experience to them. Instead, I was supposed to contact Viator to get a refund. The Viator site was not user friendly, and I was in Europe on a cruise, so I couldn't call to speak to someone about why I wasn't able to take the boat ride. I was super upset by the whole experience, especially since I could not gift the ride to someone else. I lost $192 over all of this! I can't believe that I had to waste the experience rather than share it with someone. Then, the refund experience was a mess online. I couldn't call. So disappointed! I have used Viator many times, but no more!

They gave us virtual reality goggles with audio. The fun part was the immersive 360° video. The informative part was all being taught with the video/audio. The peaceful part was the Gondola Ride. It was lovely and serene. 100% recommend. 💜

I really enjoyed the virtual info on Venice however I did not bring my earbuds with me so I missed the commentary you needed to download. The gondola ride was great, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't the advertised 45min.

If you're alone, it is a good deal because you can make a gondole turn for half the Price it would have cost you. But since the time, you're two or more, best deal to directly take a gondole tour directly in the street of Venise.
Maybe the tour was closer from 20 minutes than the promised 30 minutes.

I got this experience for my granddaughter. My husband and I took her to Italy. I booked this experience for the 3 of us. It was $50 each. Imagine my surprise that we had to share the ride with a couple. They got the big seat and we sat facing each other knees touching. Sat so close that pictures were impossible. We felt cheated.

I felt that we did not get what we thought we were to get. Once arriving at the meeting place staff were polite. Then off to the gondola, we did not have to wait long to board. Our guide never said a word to us, spoke plenty to the guides in the other boats. There was never a hello, thank you for choosing us, nothing. There was nothing to indicate that we were passing a point of interest or an interesting story. I personally was very disappointed. I would not recommend if you are looking for an informative tour.

The whole experience was one of just commercial in and out move people thru like cattle. Purchased these tickets because was not sure in coming to Venice if we were going to just walk up and get a Gondola ride on the spot. Our lodging was not that close to Piazza San Marco so had a long walk. All is very busy in Venice of course, but this operation was just very commercial and not very personal. In retrospect, we could have just grabbed a Gondola ride near our lodging, on the spot, without having to go all the way to Piazza San Marco. I would suggest to anyone who stays in parts of Venice that are not too busy to do this instead of booking with a commercial operation.

Booking this through a tour company added extra to this gondola ride. We started at the tour office with a VR history of Venice. Then the person at the office explained the significance of the gondola design.
Finally we went to our gondola passing many people in line. The journey was peaceful, quiet and away from the busyness of the Grand Canal. It was a lovely ride. I would have done it again if they had let me.

Our tour was scheduled for 6pm but we didn’t actually get in our gondola and start the tour until 6:30pm. We were unaware that in order to hear about the sites, we would need to download the audio and have earphones for our personal devices. Needless to say, I didn’t hear the information and only got to see the sites. Also the tour states 45 minutes but our tour lasted 20 minutes. Huge disappointment and too costly for such a short trip!

This was a poorly organized activity. We waited over an hour to get into the gondola. The guide made a brief comment at the beginning about the history saying it should 5-10 minutes before departure. Then nothing. Everyone was wondering what was going on. After about 20 minutes I asked what was happening. She said it would be about 5-10 minutes more and that they had no control whether gondola drivers showed up or not. She stood at the front, off to the side with her back to the group. We missed our dinner reservations due to the delay.

It only went for about 20 mins as the rest of the time was spent sitting around waiting and watching the virtual display. Then we get in the gondola and the gondolier spoke very loudly to his mate in the nearby gondola or to another person on the phone most of the trip. Completely ruined the atmosphere which was otherwise very nice. He also yelled loudly as he wanted us to lean over so the gondola could fit under small bridges. It wasn’t clear and I almost felt the gondola was going to tip. I get they must be sick of tourists but this was my only chance to travel to Italy and tick a few boxes and this jerk spoilt that.
