Luigi, our tour guide and boat captain, was a delight. Friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. It was a fabulous journey into the different islands, seeing sights, learning their stories history. Luigi also found us a wonderful restaurant on Burano where we had the best seafood pasta and prosecco. Luigi went way above our expectations and we enjoyed every moment. A trip of a lifetime.

We had an amazing time on the traditional bragozzo boat tour to the islands. Our guide, Luigi, was brilliant—he was so friendly and knowledgeable, sharing great stories about the lagoon that made the whole trip feel really personal. The bragozzo itself is a beautiful historic wooden boat and definitely the best way to get around; it felt much more authentic and special than being on one of the larger, crowded tourist ferries. Our first stop in Murano was excellent. We loved the glass-blowing demonstration and seeing the glass master at work. It was so impressive that we ended up buying a few pieces of Murano glass to take home. Burano was a real highlight. It was the perfect spot for lunch, sitting by the water with a wonderful view of all those famous brightly coloured houses. We also visited Torcello Cathedral (Santa Maria Assunta), which is currently undergoing some major renovations - top tip is to keep your St Mark's Basilica ticket as gives you free access here). This was the best part of the day as there were hardly any other tourists around so it felt very peaceful and like we had the whole historic island to ourselves. The most unreal part of the day was stopping at the monastery on the island of San Francesco del Deserto. It's such a quiet, unspoilt island and the views looking back towards Burano are just incredible. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more traditional and relaxed way to see the islands with the best guides!

Luigi is great!

Kenneth_S, Jan 2026
This tour is exciting and very informative. Luigi was a wonderful guide and skipper of the boat. He made it seem like an adventure. He speaks Italian, English and French and easily and expertly switches between languages, depending on who is in the boat. He also gave us plenty of time to shop for items on each island and to have a lovely meal before we sailed back to Venice. I highly recommend this unique boat tour for anyone who’s interested in going to the islands.

Our boatman / guide was pleasant and accommodating. His recommendation for the local risotto was great. A little more time shopping on Murano would have been welcome however we covered a lot in several hours.

We had such a great time on this tour of Murano and Burano! Luigi and Francesco were fantastic guides—friendly, fun, and full of great stories about the islands. Traveling in their beautiful historic wooden boat made the whole experience feel extra special and way more personal than a big group tour. Murano was really interesting, especially seeing the glassblowers in action, and Burano was just stunning with all its colorful houses. We had time to wander, take photos, and relax. Great fun was had by all—highly recommend!

Fantastic tour. Do it!

Our Venice lagoon islands tour was fantastic! Our captain and guide was a funny, knowledgeable, and handsome expert on Venice. Murano and Burano were both beautiful and left a lasting impression. What a great day!

Authentic part of Italy!

Luigi was friendly and knowledgeable, he shared alot of the cities history and took us around the 3 Islands at our own pace. Highly recommend this day trip!

Very hospitable and enjoyable!!!

Great day on the water visiting beautiful sites. Francisco was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area. He worked hard to make sure we had a great time. He went out of his way to take pictures for us and even carried a heavy bag for one of the ladies in our group. We insisted he join us for a local lunch and he recommended a great place and enlightened us with local knowledge. You won’t be disappointed in this tour!!

Great experience

Stacy_C, Jul 2025
Our guide, Luigi, was great! He was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Took us on a little walking tour as we made our way to the boat, and he went over and beyond on our tou with his explanations and sharing knowledge about the area. If you are wanting an experience to get out and see surrounding islands, this was a fantastic tour.

Great experience!

Francesco & Ricardo really took care of us and made sure we had a great experience. Murano and Burano were nice to see. Worthwhile tour!

Awesome tour, great guide, cool boat. 10/10 recommend

Rachel_S, May 2025
My husband and I loved this tour. He wasn't thrilled to go to the islands but went along because I pick the tours but be ended up having a wonderful time. Francesco was our guide, he met us at the tour company's office and we walked to his (beautiful) boat and we had a lovely day touring Murano & Burano. We decided to just go through the canal at Burcello because we wanted to spend more time on the other 2 islands. He answered so many questions from us, recommended restaurants and shopping (but never ever pushed us to do anything). If we're ever back in Venice we'd take any tour with Francesco, but you will not regret this boat trip to these beautiful islands.

Best Trip Ever

Kellie_S, May 2025
We had the best experience with Michael. Told us lots of information. We were the only ones on the boat so he catered it more to what we wanted. Seeing the islands by boat. Highly recommend this tour. We had a beautiful experience of the islands

Unsafe boat ride.

rhonda_a, Apr 2025
The overview is misleading you don’t get a gondola ride or tickets to the museum not sure why that’s there must be for another tour. You just get an expensive trip to Murano and Burano we never did Torcello nir sure why. There was no life vests and I can’t swim they take you on open water freezing. We had to walk a plank to get on the little boat and jump in. He tried to talk couldn’t hear him. Boat would rock because of wind again no life vests or safety ring I guess you go in water I would not be here I can’t swim. They lucky I was going home the next day I need a refund no one safer should be at risk. Do your self a favor take the ferry don’t risk your life on this trip. The only safer feature was another guy in a boat next to us he said for safety then he took us back not the original driver I guess he didn’t trust himself driving the boat due to wind. Murano had glass blowing but besides that not much time to do much. Burano nothing really open we to a tour after 2 and we didn’t go to Torcello no explanation given. So skip this tour at all costs not worth risking your life. This boat should only be used on canals not open water.

Nothing to do with the description

Rodolphe_F, Feb 2026
The experience was very disappointing. Contrary to the description the guide did not speak a word of French. After we had to walk through Venice for 20 minutes in a brisk walk to reach the boat. Boat that was not at all a traditional fishing boat but a simple taxi boat. Then we are told that we will not make the three islands but only Murano and Burano because the third would be flooded (surprisingly we went there the next day by our own means and that did not cause any problem). And what about Burano's final departure. Or it was agreed that we should contact the taxi boat at the time of our departure. And obviously when we contacted him the pilot was no longer available and we returned on our own... So you will understand that in view of the fare I cannot recommend this excursion which was a disaster.

This is NOT an opinion, it is a complaint/claim, the tour started at 9:30, we were at 9. And we started the tour at almost 10:30. The driver of the boat appeared at Venice Tours at 9:40, saying that until 19, the tour did not start any day, and nobody told us anything. I think it's a tease, I think it's very expensive, for the Service we've been given. That is why I demand an explanation. I asked for a Spanish tour. This gentleman I think is not a guide who is fluent in Spanish, he is useful to carry the boat, but he is not a guide
