Our guide Harry was exceptional! He knew so much about the history of the Bonaventure Cemetery and the symbolism of the grave markers. It was evident he had done some extensive research on symbolism and the ways of the people from the history of Savannah. The tour was terrific, and Harry was fabulous!

Informative, there is a lot to see besides just the ball field. The place is like a baseball museum. So many different exhibits dating back over the last 100 years of baseball. Of course the emphasis is on Red Sox history. If you love baseball don’t miss this experience.

Shell Island is a nice option if you’re getting bored with just going to the beach and want to do something a little different. Definitely bring cash! Otherwise, buying drinks from the bar can be inconvenient because they can only run cards back on shore, so you may need to leave your phone or ID with them. Seeing dolphins is not guaranteed, although we were lucky and saw a family of them. I just wish we had spent more time with the dolphins because that was definitely the most exciting part. The ocean was quite wavy and dark blue, so it was actually difficult to see them unless you have very good vision. The water was wonderfully warm, which I really enjoyed. The fish weren’t particularly exciting, but it was still nice to experience a little bit of wildlife. If you swim a little farther from the boat along the rocks, keep your eyes open—we saw a really beautiful, bright blue fish there! Overall, it was a pleasant experience and something different to do, but personally, I probably wouldn’t do it again.
