Be ready with a lot of camera storage for photos! 😁

We had an amazing time traveling with our tour guide Sandy for our Mount Fuji trip. We made about 5 stops and he was very friendly and excited to make our trip a very special and memorable one. He recommended many specific places that we could take iconic photos in front of Mt. Fuji and while we originally thought the trip would mean we would climb the mountain, the locations we stopped at gave us a pretty nice view of the mountain along with plenty of flora. If you can climb the 400-step trail to the Pagoda, it’s worth the 256 calories you’ll burn to get the great shot from above with Mt. Fuji. Plan accordingly for each stop since everything is timed in a group trip mostly 30 minutes to an hour. To get to our meeting location when we start the morning trip, plan for at LEAST an hour to account for foot traffic (we met in Shinjuku in front of Tokyo Mode Gakuen early at 8:15AM. Highly recommend you arrive to the location no later than 8am because there are other tour operators and it can get confusing especially with so many people. But Sandy arrived at the meeting time and went out of his way to make sure even the late folx made it on the bus. Loved the eel and rice lunch! That was the first time I tried eel and the Udon soup was delicious. Sandy will take your orders for lunch and payment for it during the bus trip and there are vegan options as well. Filled up space for photos and videos on my phone but so glad I brought my camera with a new SD card-there are sooooo many different and beautiful photos you can take on this tour, so enjoy it! 😁🫰🏽

Mount Fuji in the fog, cannot beat it!

Everything was just as advertised, this obviously excluded the weather with was pants! Raining and cloudy all day, which normally would not be an issue but when you are going up Mount Fuji and the Hakone Ropeway! Spoils it a little bit that that’s what you get in June ! Did not spoil it at all, we had a fantastic time throughout the day, best bits the tour guide AYU who was the best 5 stars all the way thank you so much. Next best bits riding the Shinkansen back to Tokyo what a piece of brilliant engineering! Cannot wait until 2038 when the UK gets our cut short model. Viator thank you

Great Sumo Experience, Gives You Foundational Background on the Sport!

This sumo event was very good & educational, Dai (the announcer) took time to explain each part of the process so we understood the meaning of all the foundational basics. The announcer (Dai) was great and the wrestlers had really good comedic timing during the Q & A time. We could ask the wrestlers anything about their life etc. so they had a little fun with it. There was a lottery to get a chance to wrestle the sumo guys and that was fun to see at the very end. Just to let you know, you will need to remove your shoes.

Wonderful Day in Tokyo!

This is truly a customized experience. We were met at our hotel by our guide, Sota. His English was impeccable as was his knowledge of history and the city of Tokyo. You will be paying for your and his public transportation, a bargain in Tokyo. He was very patient with our speed , being a little older. He was open to changing the schedule as needed or preferred. So enjoyed his information and getting to know him. We were able to see everything we wanted plus some extras. He was very good at giving us directions on how we could navigate back to our hotel at the end of the tour. Learned so much. Loved the tour, highly recommend.

Memorable time !

Super fun! But be prepared to drive in streets with cars all around you and drive a little faster than you normally would drive. Thrilling and nerve -wracking at same time. Not for those people with anxiety on driving. Do not forget to bring passport on day of your tour with international drivers license —they do email you ahead of time to make sure you submit it in email before showing up . My teen kids had so much fun and said the experience is one of the highlights of our Japan trip . Guide also takes photos of group during tour and shares it in Google Drive which is great for memories —you don’t have to worry about taking pics while doing the tour. Though you still can during times cars stop but be quick about it . The only thing is the costumes you wear were so big —and I wish they had different sizes especially sizes for short people . Also my daughter was 4’ 11 —she said seat adjusted just right for her height but if she was shorter , she may not reach the brakes.

The Sumo Entertainment Show with Chicken Hot Pot lunch was a blast!! You learned a little history about Japan and Sumo, followed by an overview of the life and exercises of the sumo wrestlers. The MC was great as were the two wrestlers, who were absolutely hysterical! The lunch was delicious and I loved the fact that it was all you can eat.

This is the experience for those thrill seekers who chase speed. I personally just wanted to look at cars and be driven around and it ended up being an enjoyable enough experience, since I'm not big into the car scene. We were driven in two different cars, since we asked to be dropped off at our hotel (no added cost!) but the only part that saddened me and my partner is that we thought when booking this experience it was going to be a private tour, nonetheless it was enjoyable and am glad we pushed through the discomfort and enjoyed the views, we stayed in the back seats of both cars to our comfort. I did think there was a bit of reckless driving especially speeding through busy areas and curves but driver was reassuring that he knew what he was doing. Nonetheless, it was a unique experience and I'd recommend for those who really like cars.

Great fun! Book a night ride through Shibuya Crossing

We enjoyed the ride through Shibuya Crossing on the "Mario Carts". What fun! We hit top speed of 43 mph on side stretches and our Guide, Bird, was fantastic and made us feel safe on the busy roads. The ride lasted about 45 minutes and we went through the Crossing twice. Recommend Bird, as a Guide, also recommend this location and a night drive (bonus of the cooler temp while wearing the costumes). This trip involves planning, as you must get your International Driving Permit prior to departure of home country. In USA, IDP is available at AAA office for a small fee.
