Amazing Way to Spend Your Day

Our guide Sora is amazing! She is informative and fun. We played a game on the bus ride to see Mt Fuji. Sora is kind and attentive, always checking on our group. The view of Fuji is incredible, we had a clear and gorgeous day. The Ninja restaurant is delicious food, the garden next to restaurant is amazing. The rope tram is a fun experience with a beautiful view. We had a great time cruising the Hakone Harbor in a pirate ship. The Bullet train is smooth and comfortable ride. Would highly recommend this tour and Sora as your tour guide; it was an amazing day. Bonus: Mt Fuji water and black eggs to add some years to your life 😉

An okay personalized tour

We booked a one-day personalized tour in Japan through Viator and had a mixed experience. Our guide, Lisa, was very kind, friendly, and clearly doing her best to make the day enjoyable. That said, she was quite young and relatively inexperienced. For a tour at this price point, we were expecting a guide with deeper knowledge of Japan’s history and culture, as well as more confidence navigating the subway system and planning the day efficiently. While we still managed to see some great spots and had a pleasant time overall, it didn’t feel like good value for money given what we paid for a “personalized” experience. It felt more like spending the day with a university student (she mentioned she had been doing this for about a month) rather than a seasoned professional guide. We chose this tour based on strong reviews, so this may vary depending on the guide you’re assigned. However, we would only recommend this experience if you can ensure you’re paired with a more senior, experienced guide.

This was a sumo experience aimed at tourists and it was the perfect balance between giving an insight into the ancient traditions of sumo whilst also keeping things fun. We learned heaps, laughed heaps and really enjoyed the night. They have an opportunity for volunteers to ‘fight’ the sumo’s at the end. Hilarious!

Great fun - a unique experience

A very unique experience mentored by very professional driver guides. The streets of Tokyo - especially when you are in low slung vehicle - can be daunting but the professionalism of our guides (in our case Daniel) ensures that you are always safe while enjoying the ride. For, in my case, it was indeed more about the experience/driving through Tokyo than the sightseeing - the latter you only do at the red light (as otherwise you are focused on driving safely). Keep in mind that the experience goes both ways, you are also a marketing tool for the company. Hence wearing a custome is not a requirement and while it adds to the company’s marketing it also benefits you as the guide will often take pictures of the group that they will share with you for free on Google Drive. At the end of the day, I greatly enjoyed myself and do recommend this unique experience. They are very professional and also fun.

Amazing experience. So much fun. And something different to do. Dressing up in the outfits provided was so cool. I was nervous of go karting in the traffic but Orko was amazing and encouraged me all the way and made me feel at ease. His instructions were perfect. He was a very nice person too.
