We had a wonderful time in Hualien today! Our tour guide was Jimmie, the company and Jimmie were very helpful and communicative from the day I booked the tour all the way to picking us up at the train station. We really got a very informative and lovely tour of Taroko gorge, the surrounding towns, and downtown Hualien. The restaurants and street food that Jimmie recommended were all amazing. He was very responsive to our teenage kids needs, like if they were hungry he took us to get delicious food quickly. He also took us to a mochi store and bought us lots of mochi for our welcome gift. It was a wonderful tour, we wish it was longer!

Our tourguide (Trix) was fantastic! Charlie was the most amazing driver/guide/person we could have ever hoped for. I could spend the whole day writing about our day out with him. We had the most incredible experience with our driver in Kaohsiung. From the moment he picked us up, he was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day special. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted, adjusted the itinerary to fit our interests, and never once made us feel rushed. He taught us so much about this beautiful country. He took us through beautiful countryside, temples, Monkey Mountain, and hidden scenic spots we never would have found on our own. His driving was safe and smooth the entire day, and he was so thoughtful and accommodating with my family. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. What stood out most was his kindness and heart. This did not feel like a standard tour — it felt like spending the day with someone who genuinely wanted us to fall in love with Taiwan. Jeremy is great!

Our day with Jeremy touring northeast Taiwan was probably our favorite day during our weeklong vacation. We were a small group so switched from Mercedes van to minivan but the minivan was nice and clean. Jeremy was right on time. He was so kind and took amazing photos of our family. He also knew all the secret spots to get amazing photos and he showed us less touristy breathtaking views. He answered all our questions and shared a lot of fun anecdotes about life in Taiwan. We felt like we got a better understanding of the country’s history and also of the people. He had a special snack for us that Taiwanese people use as a good luck charm for electronics. I know it sounds crazy! But so fascinating to learn. Jeremy made our tour in very busy spots a lot easier. He would walk us to the best spots, park or drop us off to reduce unnecessary walking. He just made it an easy and pleasurable day despite some traffic and some rain. Our family, including two kids, were entertained, educated and also felt relaxed. Jeremy was also flexible should we want to stay longer somewhere. Overall, a great guy and a wonderful tour. Thanks Jeremy and for all our beautiful family pics! Great tour!

I had a wonderful time on this tour with An. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We visited two beautiful waterfalls and two Old Streets. We also stopped by the Yin Yang sea which had some interesting old abandoned mining buildings across the street. It was fun walking through the old streets of Shifen and Jiufen where I got to try lots of local foods and snacks. I highly recommend this tour and An as your guide if possible.

Our tour guide Vincent...

Our tour guide Vincent was awesome! He was genuinely friendly and quickly made friends with our kids, making sure they were engaged and having a good time. He catered the trip to our interests, never rushing us off to the next spot just for the sake of checking off a list. Like coffee? Ok, there's a place you have to try. Need more time shopping? No problem, take your time. Vincent knows Taiwan like the back of his hand, but he shared his knowledge in a way that made it fun and engaging. We couldn't have asked for a better time in Yehliu and Jiufen. Make sure to ask for Vincent!

Because of a delayed...

Because of a delayed connection we missed our flight to Taipei. So we were rebooked for the following day. We found out about the delay after the 24 cancellation window was passed. I messaged the provider directly and called Viator. The Viator help desk did nothing for me. They just said it was outside the window so no changes were possible. The provider response was give them the new flight information and they would be there. And they were!! The car was very nice and the travel time was less than the quoted time. I would use them again.

Great Walking Day Tour of Yangmingshan National Park

Wonderful and relaxing day touring Yangmingshan National Park. Our delightful guide from Edison Tours was terrific. He had excellent English and knew a great deal about the park. He follows the itinerary perfectly, kept us all on track, and knew when to talk and guide then give us free time. He provided excellent, clear directions and descriptions for all out stops and even helped take some great photos for us. I probably would not have had a chance to visit the park on my own during my stay in Yaiwan, so taking this trip proved to be a pleasure and long, busy, but highly enjoyable day. We even made a stop at the "greenhouse" at the park for a very traditional Chinese lunch and it was not only a wonderful cultural experience, but the garlic and chicken soup I ordered was delicious and perfect for the day. Edison Tours, incidentally, was extremely efficient and clear with their communications and meeting directions. Super cheerful, friendly, helpful.

Foodies Wanted!

A truly amazing and fun experience. The entrance was a little confusing to find if you are very familiar with the area. The restaurant workers next door were able to point me in the right direction! The instructors were so friendly and patient. Makes even the most novice chef feel like a pro. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who wants a half day activity. We had the most incredible day exploring Taiwan with our tour guide, Oliver. He took us to Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, the Golden Waterfall, the Yehliu Geopark, and even made a special stop for us to light a lantern and make wishes—plus several other thoughtful stops along the way. His timing was *perfect*; we always arrived just before the big bus tours, which made every experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Oliver was not only knowledgeable—sharing fascinating history and stories about Taiwan—but also genuinely personable and so easy to chat with. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had made a new friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough. Skip the crowded big bus options and book this tour instead. You’ll get a much more intimate, meaningful, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
