We had a delightful day with Robin!
We were in contact beforehand to arrange what we would most like to see and Robin arranged this into the day in a logical sequence and so things never felt rushed.
It was a great way to see viewpoints and places we couldn’t have managed alone.
We saw:
- the giant Buddha
- lotus pond / tiger and dragon pavilion
- amazing beef noodle lunch
- the dagan bridge swing open at 3pm
- pier 2 area
- monkeys on monkey mountain
- viewpoint across the city from high point
- view across the harbour from Xiziwan

Charlie is an excellent tour guide and great driver. He is passionate for his town and his country. Well versed on historical culture as well as Geological history. He explained the Buddhists spirit of calmness and acceptance and rituals. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Charlie

Had a great day with Aaron. He contacted us in advance with clear meeting instructions and was friendly and informative throughout. He spoke excellent English and gave us so much information on Kaohsiung and Taiwan. We managed to fit a lot into a few hours and he dropped us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time. He also sent us photos that he'd taken throughout the day. We would highly recommend Aaron for a Kaohsiung tour.

Ting Ting was fabulous. She was already there when we got off the ship and from that point she handled everything perfectly. She got us back to the ship exactly as we requested.
If there was a way to select the local guide I would definitely ask for her.

Robin was an excellent and fun guide. He drove and accompanied us to the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum which was magnificent and included a little calligraphy and tea sampling. We continued to the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas on Lotus Pond where he let us explore for around an hour. Afterwards, he dropped us off at the Pier 2 Art Center to explore on our own for around an hour. Then he brought us to Shoushan Love Lookout for some photos (and monkey viewing). Finally, the last stop was for The Dome of Light at Fermosa Boulevard MRT station. Robin also brought us to one of his favorite beef noodle places for lunch. It was a fun day. Robin was very interactive with us, especially when walking us though the Buddha monastery and explaining all pertinent details, and also took some great pictures for us. Communication wasn't difficult, and we also enjoyed talking about American sports with him. Thanks, Robin!

Robin was the best guide so far on or trip. He was so friendly. Helped us buy exclusive fruits and oranges to eat on our way. . The vehicle was super clean equipped with tissues, bottled water for each of us . He took use to beautiful locations around Kaoshing and brought us on time to the cruise terminal. Richard was a fine tour guide. His Kaohsiung was beautiful and despite some language challenges, we felt touched by some uniquely personal experiences. Thanks for Lotus Lake, the glass dome subway station, the observatory lookout, ice cream, the old warehouse district turned art scene, and sunset beach. We would do it all over again!

We were a group of 4 and we asked for a comfortable 7 seater vehicle with English speaking driver . That’s exactly what we got and were not disappointed . Our driver cum guide Robin was friendly , courteous and did his best to explain the sights as best as he could . He recommended our lunch & helped us order it . The food was great . Time was well managed and never rushed , it was free and easy the whole day . Our first day in Taiwan @ Kaoshing started of well , thanks to Robin

Great 1-day Kaohsiung tour! This tour covered all the things we wanted to see and learn about (temples, pagodas, food). Charlie was a great knowledgeable tour guide. He started by giving us a bag of logan fruit and explained the history on why people eat them and it happens to be in season. Comfortable ride, Charlie ensured we were comfortable with the heat & humidity and would drop us off, meet us, pick us up so we stayed cool as well. Huge bonus, Charlie is also a great photographer. Overall, an amazing experience! Thank you Viator and Charlie.

Ting Ting was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, flexible and though we mostly followed the suggested itinerary she went out of her way to help us find a fortune teller which was something we really wanted to do in the afternoon. We enjoyed having a local noodle lunch and trying a few treats along the way. It very hot in July so she was sure to help us cool off in stops with a/c along the way. The van was also very comfortable and cool. Highly recommend her!

This was a very thorough 8-hour tour of Kaohsiung which was perfect for someone like me who was in town for a very short period. Mr. Charlie was very informative and made efficient use of the time.
