Full day of Scottish highland culture and sights!

We had the best time on this Loch Ness adventure! Our driver was so entertaining and even made a few extra quick stops for us to see even more of the highland countryside. We heard Scottish music and stories throughout the drive, making it go by even quicker. I definitely recommend some motion sickness stickers/medication as it's a long day of winding roads. And arrive early as our tour bus left about 5 minutes early!

An interesting day.

Our tour guide Lawrence was lively and entertaining! Though the weather didn't cooperate on Skye it was still fun and a good experience! He was adaptable which was necessary assuring the best experience he could offer us with gusty winds and side driving rain. Was nice to be with a smaller group. The last stop at the falls was so beautiful and grounding ( and no rain). A perfect ending for an imperfect day❤️.

Fun in the Highlands!

This was a wonderful experience that took us to a number of cities approaching, and within, the Scottish Highlands. Our tour guide Jiri was super informative, and regularly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable, and that all of our questions were answered. There was a significant amount of time spent on the bus, just because the Highlands are far from Edinburgh. We still thought that we spent a good amount of time in the Highlands, and saw some absolutely amazing views. It’s also important to note that the tour was very well organized, and our tour guide always kept us informed of the next stop and upcoming itinerary plans. Another thing we appreciated is the smaller group size, and the clean and comfortable bus. Would highly recommend this experience, and would do another tour with this company again.

Great tour! Great guide!

This was a very long day, but you basically get to see all of the Scottish Highlands and the stops were well spaced. Our guide, Bob, was fantastic! We got to feed the hairy coos, which was a surprise. I loved doing the cruise option to Urkhart Castle! Definitely worth it, even in the rain (we came prepared and were glad we did). Definitely recommend packing snacks!! We brought some, but not enough. There’s so much to see, you don’t want to waste time waiting in line for food or trying to find food. You’ll do enough of that for the toilets.

Great!

Loved getting to go inside and walk around the castle grounds! Our guide, Koffe, was great! He loved history and was a great storyteller of it! We went in early/mid September, so the stadium that they put up every year for the month of August was still in the process of being taken down. So, some of the views around at the entrance were obstructed which was a bummer. But overall it was great to see and hear about the history of this beautiful castle!

Entertaining and Convenient

Really liked our Edinburgh Castle tour with James from All Star Tours. He’s an actual historian, teacher, so it felt like we were getting the real history rather than someone just reading off notes of wiki. He was really knowledgeable but also entertaining and kept it interesting throughout. Booking tour through Viator made it easier to get tickets for the time we wanted too and were able to see the 1pm firing of the gun. Would definitely book tour again using the guide.

Good fun and lil spooky

Enjoyed the underground ghost tour. Felt safe being escorted around at night and it’s really close to the Royal Mile. Major Weir was a great guide with some good stories. The tombs were really interesting, and I liked finishing near Greyfriars Bobby after the graveyard, got to see the Bobby statue without all the crowds during the day. Plenty of places nearby for a drink afterwards too. Definitely worth doing at least once.

Best tour ever!

If you want to experience the Isle of Skye with a small group (14 people in our van) and not worry about the driving or logistics, this is the tour for you. Our guide Tonks is the best tour guide I have ever met. She’s a dramatic storyteller who keeps you engaged for three days and I was very impressed with how she matched her Scottish music playlist perfectly to whatever scenery we were in. We saw it all and had access to some amazing walks.
