- We do not offer live or recorded guide commentary on our buses. We are a dining Experience whilst touring Edinburgh or Glasgow.
- Red Bus Bistro Bookings are only valid for the date and time stated.
- Patrons should expect to share a table especially on our busier weekend tours. If patrons would rather not share a table we can try and accommodate them on a quieter tour.
- Patrons are requested to arrive 10–15 minutes before departure at Shuttle Street Glasgow Unfortunately we cannot wait for late comers as we only have a limited time on stand. Refunds will not be offered to latecomers.
- We offer gluten free or vegetarian options. Our Products may contain nuts. Please specify requirements upon reservation.
- No tickets are issued for the tour.
- Your Surname is passed to the Bus Manager prior to your tour, this will be requested upon arrival at the bus, you can print this email out purely for your own information.
- Please be prepared to redeem any Gift Voucher you may have used for payment to the bus on the day of the tour.
- If you have booked using an Itison voucher, we may ask to see your voucher on your phone.
- Children must be 3 and over to be allowed on the tour children aged 3 till 9 are charged £20 per person children 10 and over are classed as adult and charged £43.50
- Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult
- There may be occasions where the tour has to be cancelled without advance notice, in the event of a cancellation patrons will be refunded in full or transferred onto another tour date.
- If the tour is cancelled after the first half an hours commencement, we will then offer availability on another tour.
- Smoking is not permitted on the Bus at any time.
- Red Bus Bistro does not take any responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of personal belongings while on the Bus.
- Conditions of carriage are subject to legislation set out by the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981; all details can be given by the Red Bus Bistro head office.
- We would like to point out that we operate Vintage Routemaster Buses, and although we keep our vehicles in the best possible maintenance condition there will be times that unforeseen maintenance issues may arise and result in a disruption to the tours, or cancellation; however we will endeavour to do everything in our power to avoid any disruption.
- Red Bus Bistro Company reserves the right to refuse carriage of patrons who are intoxicated, or displaying threatening or abusive behaviour, no refunds will be given under these circumstances. We also ask that a reasonable standard of behaviour is adhered to while on the tour, as there are other passengers to consider.
- Red Bus Bistro is not responsible for any damage caused by breaking the rules.
- RED BUS BISTRO COMPANY LIMITED ACCESS POLICIES
- It is not the policy of Red Bus Bistro Company Ltd to discriminate in any way against employees or passengers regarding disability, gender, race, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
- Red Bus Bistro’s Bus was registered in 1966; it consists of Drivers Cab, upper deck, lower deck, and will always have at least 4 staff on board. The bus seats 12 downstairs and 28 upstairs; unfortunately due to the age and design of the Bus we cannot accommodate wheelchair passengers. Red Bus Bistro can reserve seating in advance for the lower deck for those with mobility concerns. As per above, patrons should otherwise be prepared to share a table, where the patrons would rather be seated alone we can try and accommodate them on a quieter tour however not guaranteed,
- There is no toilet on board.
- The tour will last between 70-90 minutes dependant on conditions, in which time our patrons will be served with an Afternoon Tea or Gin Tour. For private hire all requests are considered.
- Red Bus Bistro Company Limited will go out of its way to cater for as diverse and audience as possible within the physical confines of the bus, and will follow the DDA Legislation guidelines at all times.
- All information gained from Patrons will never be given to any third parties; Red Bus Bistro Company Limited is responsible for all online transactions.
- • Full payment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations are accepted no later than 24 hours before your tour date.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers

This was an amazing fun filled wonderful experience !! Loved every minute. Myself my big sister and my two daughters had the best time. The food was indulgent and so tasty and fresh. Our hosts including Helen who was the best entertainer were all fabby. I highly recommend this to everyone.

It was a hoot! Food and tea were delicious. The tour guide was fun! She got the entire bus singing as she played music and guided us through Glasgow.

This was a great different tour around the city. It’s not so much a guided tour but they did tell you about a few places. But they were both fun and super friendly. The food was surprisingly very tasty and enjoyable. A glass of prosecco and a coffee or tea were included but extra drinks were available for purchase. Met some nice people who were also in the tour we went to Sloans and then to china sea for dinner so turned out to be an all around great day.

Wonderful way to combine tea time with a visual tour of city!! The food was so good we were stuffed-plenty of carbs, sweets, tea, champagne and gin overfilled our tummies ( including gluten free!!). Had bathroom break halfway thank goodness. Ended with a great sing along through the streets. The tour didn’t go deep into historical facts on every turn BUT THAT IS OK!! We got a visual tour of the circumference of city to help us acclimate to Glasgow while enjoying a unique fun time inside bus. The three bus hosts were tremendous and worked their tails off to make sure we had everything we needed including incredible gluten free trays for my friend!!!

I would recommend people choose a different experience over this one.
The thought of it seems nice but in reality this tour idea doesn’t really work.
Cons:
- We were up top at the front of the bus so we had to squish into one bench (whereas other tables got a bench per person)
- while driving we expected there to be commentary like a tour of what we were seeing but there wasn’t any of that
- the food was mediocre and it flew everywhere once we started driving (I was excited for the scones but it was really dry and no taste to it)
- it was extremely hot out and there’s no AC on the bus so we were all sweating a lot on the bus
- the bus is pretty dated so everything had a layer of grime to it

Hello Sarah thank you for the update our tour is a unique dining experience onboard a vintage bus this is what we provided ........
When you book you are advised of the seating plan and if you wish specific seats to contact the office if not you are allocated seats . The seats you where allocated are our premium most requested seats we also advise in the terms and conditions that the bus is a vintage route master from 1966 and have been adapted and we advise of original seating and not of todays modern buses this is part of the charm of the bus did you approach any of the wonderful crew you had onboard to advise of your discomfort and they could have moved or assisted you ??. The weather we can not control and there is fans on the bus but we can not add ac to the vehicle . All food is freshly prepared and the scone comes with jam and cream again did you advise the crew that you did not like the scone and allow them the opportunity to rectify your concerns ??. The bus has just been off road for over two weeks for a full refurb and has been painted inside and out and fully redecorated and chairs recovered so i am a little unsure how you feel the way you did about the 1966 vintage route master i think you may have been expecting a modern bus and not a vintage vehicle and have misunderstood the concept of out experience thank you for your feedback

When I visited London two years ago, I regretted not booking a bistro on a red bus. So when I saw this Glasgow experience, I had to try it. No regrets. Helen( I think that was her name) was doing double duty as a guide and a server. She was very knowledgeable about the city and very entertaining. She loves her job and is very good at it.

It was a crazy day with the city being closed down for a bicycle race. But the crew did everything they could to reroute us and give us a positive experience. They were so nice and funny. The food and drinks were amazing.

Hello James we responded to your message and the trail is there to show this , All other fifteen passengers arrived on time to the designated pick up and made the tour . We have the messages time stamped from crew to show that they advised when you did not attended and there message trail to show they delayed leaving for ten minutes to await your arrival

This is a fun experience for tea. Food was great, guide and driver were great also. Accommodation is tight and uncomfortable depending on where you sit. It also isn’t the best “sightseeing” tour, so be sure to have something else booked for sights and history of the city.

While vacationing for Irish Dance, we had this excursion for my daughter’s birthday. It was perfect. Good food and even better tea! Nice and warm even when raining outside. I would recommend and would love to do it again someday.

The experience was really great. The inside of the bus was so cute how they decorated it. Very comfy. The set up was very nice. The team was very nice. Kind of wish they would show us more exciting places when we drove around. But I still enjoyed it. Definitely would do it again when I come back to Glasgow.
