Great experience! Easy to get to coach. Great to have info about Edinburgh from a live, very informative good natured person! Delightful change to ear plugs! Lots of current information, great for any questions, so easy to access all stops. Loved it!
Hit a lot of the top sights and Tory, our guide, was super-knowledgeable and entertaining. It wasn’t too short or too long.

It had been a few years since we’d been to Edinburgh and weren’t sure where to go first so we hopped on the hop on:hop off bus and rode the whole route before deciding where to get off first. This allowed us to best use the time we had and see the things we wanted to see. The guides were helpful and funny and made the ride more enjoyable!
We did the green route and the guide had a lot of historical information that you wouldn't get just walking around.
This is such a great way to see the city, and unlike other tours, this one has the live guide and he really made the experience memorable.
No live guides! MUST book blue route to meet Bus at Cruise Terminal. Doesn't always stop at designated stops, and some stops not even marked or announced.

Our advertised green live guided Edinburgh Tour ALWAYS has a live guide on board.
It sounds like you arrived on a cruise and hoped that our green route would serve Newhaven. We do have the blue Regal Tour that picks up there and both tours can be combined in our GRAND24 ticket.
If arriving on a cruise ship at Queensferry there is also a Cruiselink service operating to the city centre. I don't want future customers thinking our advertised live guided tour doesn't have a guide as it definitely does and all stops are pointed out. The Regal Tour has prerecorded commentary listened to via headphones, which are provided, .
Hop -on-hop-off buses are really the best way to see a city like Edinburgh. Buy the pass to ride all three buses because the routes are slightly different with the blue bus going all the way out to Leith. The live guides or the recorded guides on the buses are a great way to learn about the city. You can get off at any stop and get back on by simply scanning your ticket, so make sure you keep it handy. The tour passes are 24 hours or 48 depending on which one you purchase and start the first time you get on a bus.
We had two excellent guides who shared the stories of the city enriching our experience and bringing it to life. Being able to jump on and off to spend more time at the sites we were interested was wonderful.
Great way to get your bearings in a crazy city. Live guides are scripted and tell the same stories, but fun and informative all the same.
Great to have live narrators as guides telling stories about what you are seeing and ability to answer guest’s questions.
Open topped bus. It was a bit cold in August. The sound recording playback was a bit quiet and had to really listen hard. The hop on and hop off idea was great.
All the guides were good, but Nadia clearly enjoys her job & was incredibly engaging. Definitely a great way to see the city

Very nice tours. The city tour had a live tour guide which is preferable as you get constant commentary and personal experience. Highly recommend hop on/off tours as you can see the city and choose your experiences!
Exceptionally pleased with this company as a train delay prevented us from using our tickets on the day we had reserved them. We were able to exchange our tickets for the next day and enjoyed a city tour after which several in our multigenerational family group added on an additional route for a reduced fee.

Best money we spent in Edinburgh. Would highly recomened, tour guide was interesting and knowledgeable and the hop on hop off was perfect for us travelling with a buggy and a 7 yr old saved a lot of crying about walking and sore feet (and this was just me lol) and were able to see so many more sights.
Informative. The guides interjected humor to add to the experience. Suggest riding entire route to determine which stops interest you.
Have done many a hop on hop off buses, but never found one with a live guide. Not only were the guides knowledgeable, but also slightly different. If you repeat a section with a different guide, you get additional information. Plus they can point at what they are talking about. Much better experience.
We had 2 tour guides on the buses. As there was an accident with a patron, and we had to be evacuated off of the bus. Both tour guides were very personable. John was the first one, and Tori was the second, and she was very entertaining. And very knowledgeable about Edinburgh.

Very good tour of Edinburgh. Live narration and extremely informative and friendly. You can get off at any stop and get back on in 15 minute intervals. Questions are encouraged.
It was very useful to take a tour around the city and to get our bearings. We were able to then decide what we wanted to see. We had two different guides who were knowledgeable, funny and articulate. We cannot fault this experience.
The experience is very informative with a guide giving you huge amounts of info about the city’s history and buildings
Take the entire loop, but hop off at mile and Castle to explore. Then join again at grass area to continue continue full loop. Our ship schedule was very tight. Had to take a bus or taxi to get to center of town. Extra expense. The narrated guide was excellent. Gave you a full view and explanation of city. Wish our ship had more time there!

Good overview of the attractions and points of interest in Edinburgh with the ability to leave tour at select spots andcexplore area in more detail and then hop back on tour to continue. Pass is good for 24 hours so best to plan whole day around it to take full advantage. There are a few tour options (Red bus or Green bus) so if you know what areas you wish to see then compare routes to buy best option for you.
