What are people saying about Riviera Maya & the Yucatan

Great day for all ages and groups!
We come here every time we have a cruise that stops in Cozumel, so about 3-5 times a year. I’ve been with my family (children) and on adult only friends trips. It’s a great spot for everyone. Attentive and friendly service. Fresh and delicious food with a wide selection of drinks. The giant inflatable obstacle courses on the water are very fun for kids and adults alike. My favorite is the floating circle for laying in the sun talking with friends. Onsite shops and beach massage tent are an added bonus. The only warning I will give is to bring your own beach towel. They are not included in the all inclusive package (they have a few for sale in the shops), but everything else you need is available.

Very organized and felt safe and informed!
This was very organized and felt safe. They gave us a bottle before we got on the shuttle to head to the ruins, when we got off the shuttle to start the ruins and when we came to get back onto the shuttle to head back. It was VERY humid and warm. The walk from the ship to finding the shuttle was longer than expected. We were concerned we weren’t going the right way but it in the parking lot where all the other buses and shuttles were at.

A great day on the Poseidon
This was a wonderful snorkeling experience. We met at the El CID hotel a short walk from where our cruise ship was docked. After everyone checked in we went to the dock at the back of the resort and boarded the boat. Safety was explained and everyone had life jackets on and off we went. We snorkeled in three different spots about 45 minutes away. Every spot was unique with different kinds of sea life to observe. We were all escorted in the water by a staff member as well as an underwater photographer. All was very safe and professionally done. We saw beautiful fish, barracuda, a nurse shark, a green turtle, enormous starfish, beautiful reefs. We then went to our last stop, a sandbar where we were served margaritas and rum punch as well as ceviche, pico de gallo, guacamole and chips on a paddleboard while gentle stingrays swam around in the waist high water. Such a wonderful day! Can’t say enough about the crew being helpful and caring of their customers on the excursion. A great time on the Poseidon. The highlight of our vacation.

Serenity at Sea
It was an amazing time! Max our private tour guide was very knowledgeable on the location, the marine life, rock/cenote formations, and he ensured our safety was maintained through it all. Our photographer Lara was amazing! The taxi/bus driver was on point and very kind, offered snacks/water and made sure we were happy and satisfied. The tour ended with a buffet at the end, tacos were prepared by Mayan Women and it was delicious! There were also refreshments like hibiscus water, tamarind water and lemonade, as well as a little bar. The combination of snorkeling and cenote exploring was spectacular, truly is beautiful!

While you might be tempted to spend all your time in the Riviera Maya and the Yucatan on the beach, the region offers much more than white sand and warm water. Riviera Maya and Yucatan tours reveal a different side of the Mexican state by showcasing Mayan ruins, secret cenotes, and colonial towns. Some excursions whisk you to a world wonder or sail to snorkeling hot spots in the Caribbean Sea, while others focus on exploring the jungle in an ATV or tasting local delights such as tacos and tequilas.
