ATV riding was about 20 minutes long. There was a tequila tasting with a sole purpose of selling tequila bottles at an outrageous price. We spend the majority of the time trying to get convinced to buy. Then we had to eat lunch and snorkel within an hour. This tour had potential to be great but selling a bottle took greater priority.

Staff was nice,organized. Atv ride was disappointing, just drive around basically in circles, to much time at tequila tasting, then to beach and snorkeling.. small area with nice loungers and umbrellas. All were in the shade, could not get a suntan, water was to cold, no fault of theirs but no beach, all was rocks so you couldn't walk in ankle deep water. 3 very small pools, only way we could cool off, they were clean and refreshing. The food ws a disaster in my opinion, tacos or fajitas were included. Ugh

We would like to address a few points with full transparency as we believe an accurate picture is important for future Guests reading this review.
Regarding the ATV experience — our off-road track is a purpose-built jungle circuit that takes riders through a variety of different terrain sections, progressing from easier areas to more advanced and challenging stretches. It is a true jungle adventure and not a repetitive loop, and we are sorry it did not meet your expectations on the day.
Regarding the tequila tasting — we understand that timing preferences vary from Guest to Guest.
Regarding the beach club — we are proud to share that Paraiso Bajo Reef Beach Club is a brand new venue featuring a generous sandy area where Guests can relax and put their toes in the sand. Water access is provided via a beautiful wooden boardwalk deck that carries Guests safely and comfortably directly to the sea, leading to a shallow sandy bottom entry point — no rocky terrain to navigate at all. We also offer two pools and a jacuzzi for Guests to cool off and unwind comfortably.
Regarding the food — while we are sorry it was not to your taste, we are pleased to share that our menu consistently receives very high praise across the vast majority of our Guest reviews, and food preferences are of course entirely personal.

The Royal Caribbean cruise line dropped us at the wrong terminal, but Jared and the team were great. Went out of their way to pick us up and give us the full experience… The ATVs were a blast, the tequila tasting and chocolate tasting were not only tasty but very informative. Jared was especially helpful and informative helped us to understand the culture and lifestyle of the folks in Cozumel. I highly recommend Jared for the guide but everyone on the team was wonderful. Everything went smoothly. Lunch was great. The beer was cold. The water was blue and refreshing and all these things really helped make our trip to Cozumel Absolutely amazing. I give them a 10+. As a former senior travel advisor with AAA, I would highly recommend this excursion.

This was our first time in Cozumel, we were anxious and didn’t know what to expect. Miguel and Coco Adventures exceeded our expectations, from the moment we were picked up and all throughout. Miguel was so incredibly, very informative and friendly. Easy instructions to follow about pick up as well as they message you with all updates, very professional. We had so much fun and got to do a little bit of everything on our wish list! The price is unbeatable and only needed to bring enough cash to leave for tip.

Great small group excursion! Rodrigo picked us up and stayed with us all day, he's wonderful. Walter & Moses at the ATV were awesome, they made sure we knew how to use the ATV, it was muddy and so much fun, best ATV we've done. There are lockers at the ATV sight. Next the tequila, chocolate and tortilla tasting was informative, we even bought a bottle of their flavored tequila. Finishing at Coco Beach was relaxing and a good fajita lunch. Great day, definitely recommend!

The personalized experience from pick up to drop off was perfect. We never felt like we were part of a herd of cows.
The ATVs were easy to navigate. We had dry areas and muddy puddles to drive through. Lots of fun.
The lunch was simple, but good quality. They offered beef tacos, chicken tacos, fish tacos beef fajitas, or chicken fajitas.
The beach club where the lunch was served and where we snorkeled was CLEAN and well maintained. We saw lots of fish. There were 3 pools to relax in…small but nice. The workers at the club were friendly. The only time we felt pushed was by the photographers.
Our driver and tour guide was Julio…he was wonderful. A family man. He was patient with our teens. He snorkeled with us, waited patiently for us. He shared knowledge about Cozumel with us. Wonderful.
We would definitely use this company again!

Aaron was an amazing and friendly guide. He picked us up right from the ferry terminal and drove us to each destination. Overall excursion was OK. The ATV ride is in a small contained area which makes it safer for the kids but less adventurous. I am deducting one star for the hard sell on the tequila after the included tasting and one star since the snorkeling at the end didn’t include any gear and seemed like a bit of an afterthought. Despite these two drawbacks the lunch was good and you do check a lot of boxes for a good value. Kids were given the opportunity to drive the SUV with an adult for a short distance.

OMG the best experience, we felt welcomed from the time we were greeted! The entire process from start to finish was worth it ! Only thing I disliked was the excursions for ATV’s and tequila tasting wanted tips and it was awkward of them it’s like a catch baiting! We wanted photos but they were just as expensive as carnivals but overall the host we had he was great felt relaxed and no pressure the entire time!

My husband and I booked this excursion during a recent cruise. Unfortunately, I was very sick and unable to participate. Company refused to refund my portion after being assured by the tour operator that a refund for my portion would be issued.

Like most travel and experience-based businesses — including airlines, cruise lines, theme parks, and concert venues — Coco Adventours Cozumel operates under a 24-hour cancellation policy. Once a reservation is confirmed, your spot is exclusively blocked and guaranteed for you, which means it is no longer available to other Guests who may have wished to book it. A same-day cancellation, regardless of the circumstances, does not allow us sufficient time to fill that space, resulting in a direct loss for our small, family-operated business.
We understand this is disappointing to hear, and we are sorry if there was any miscommunication regarding a potential refund prior to the tour. We always strive to be clear and consistent in the way our policy is communicated, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We met Edwin right outside the port. He was friendly, knowledgeable and a safe driver. He stayed with us and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole excursion. The 4 wheeling was awesome! We went through jungle, water and mud, and had some open room. Everyone was very friendly and they had lockers for your things! The tastings were so yummy! Chocolate, tortillas and tequila! We even ended up buying some tequila! The food was great! You had a choice of 4 different kinds of tacos and could purchase drinks there. The snorkeling was so relaxing and interesting to see all the fish. They were nice enough to move to a different beach due to the north winds blowing in seaweed. It was perfect! Recommend 100%

I’ll be honest—I was a bit surprised this excursion has such high reviews. Based on that, I think my expectations were higher, which may have contributed to leaving a little disappointed.
That said, there were definitely some positives.
👍 What we enjoyed:
The ATV portion was fun and probably the highlight of the excursion. We did have a minor issue with our RZR breaking down, but the team handled it quickly by switching us to four-wheelers. Our guide was great and even let us do an extra loop to make up for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.
Cenote swim and alligator sighting was fun
Tequila itself tasted good and tour guide offered plentiful samples
👎 Areas that fell short:
The tequila and chocolate tasting area felt very run down. The displays and materials used during the “tour” looked weathered and could definitely use some cleaning and upkeep.
Unfortunately, we were not able to snorkel or enjoy the beach due to water conditions and heavy seaweed. While we completely understand this was for safety reasons, it was still disappointing since it’s a big part of the experience.
The beach club stop was also underwhelming. It was very small, somewhat worn down, and in need of some TLC. The included food was not great, although the kids did enjoy the small pool since the beach wasn’t an option.
Transportation was another downside. The vehicle felt old, the windows didn’t open, and at least one seatbelt (passenger side) was not functioning properly.

The staff and tour operators were kind and courteous, which we appreciated. The experience wasn’t terrible, but it also didn’t live up to expectations. I would describe it as just “okay.”
If we return to Cozumel, we’ll likely explore other excursion options.

Those same conditions can also affect beach areas and overall appearance, including seaweed accumulation, which can influence how certain locations look on a given day.

We had the best time on this excursion! It was just my boyfriend and I and our guide Miguel. We had our own personal tour all day long! Miguel was amazing! He met us at the pick up location and walked us thru downtown to the car. He took pics for us and told us about the Mayan culture. We drove about 20 mins to the ATV site. We were met with Josue who was also our person ATV guide. The ATV’s were in good shape, easy to drive, we each had our own ATV. The trails were soooooo fun! Lots of bumps and rocky terrain and water and it was a blast! There was a photographer on the trails that took great pics and videos of us. I ended up buying the whole package for $64, totally worth the price. The ATV ride was about 45 mins long. When we got back, we decided not to do the tequila tasting bc we don’t drink so Miguel took us to Coco beach for lunch. We had chicken and steak fajitas and they were delicious! Unfortunately there was a storm that came in the night before our tour and brought in a lot of seaweed so we could get into the ocean but that was okay. We left there and headed back to the ship. Literally one of the best excursions we have ever done and I highly recommend you book it!

ATV is 45 min on a bush track machine broke down and had to ride on back of guide rest of way. No snorkeling due to weather but was not offered anything to replace. Food and tequila tour very rushed and not very authentic. Lunch at coco beach was not inviting at all. Could not swim at the beach Soda and water 4 us each with meal. Just tacos and fajita offered.

Regarding the snorkeling, weather and sea conditions can sometimes make water activities unsafe. In those situations, our Team provides a full briefing before the tour begins, offering Guests the option to continue with adjusted activities or cancel for a full refund. When Guests choose to proceed are asked to sign an acceptance of snorkeling cancellation to be clear and transparent, just like you did, and then we work to adapt the experience and include additional elements so the day remains enjoyable despite the changes.
Concerning the ATV, off-road conditions after heavy rain can create more demanding terrain, including mud and water that may affect the performance of the vehicles. While mechanical issues are not common, they can occasionally occur under these conditions. When they do, our Team steps in immediately to assist and ensure the experience continues safely and as smoothly as possible.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the pacing of the tastings and the lunch. The meal and experience are provided as described, though we understand expectations can vary, and your feedback helps us continue improving.

We had fun on this excursion but we had bad weather so couldn’t really enjoy the beach club or snorkeling and opted to go back to our ship. We did get to do the ATV ride which was a lot of fun, they have the typical tequila tasting (opted out of), chocolate tasting and a traditional tortilla tasting. Those were fine but I’d probably opt out of those if I was doing it again and just go straight to the beach club if the weather is good.
One thing to keep in mind and was annoying was that we arrived before 10am (our pick up time) at the 7/11, checked in with the man in the blue shirt with the clip board, as the instructions we were sent said, and showed him my name on his spreadsheet. He told us to wait here for a bit for Jose (our tour guide) to come pick us up, we went into 7/11 to buy a water bottle for 2 minutes and apparently during that time Jose had come and gone and the man with the clipboard did not tell him we had checked in. So us not knowing this and proceeding to go back outside, wait for another 15 minutes until the man with the clipboard came up to us and asked us what we were waiting for, apparently forgetting that we checked in with him. He calls his manager and has Jose turn back around and pick us up, so our tour started 30 minutes later than planned and created confusion for the other people in our group as well. Their internal operations can be improved and just learn from our experience.

Our tour guide Miguel went above and beyond to make sure our first experience at Cozumel was one we will never forget! He taught us local history and culture as we drove between each destination as well as helping us brush up on our Spanish and taught us some new expressions! We loved 4 wheeling, learning about the process of making chocolate and tequila and getting to taste some of the smoothest tequila in Mexico! Snorkeling took the show by far. Miguel was able to get us up close and personal with more fish and marine life then I’ve ever seen! We’re highly recommends this excursion and Miguel if you’re lucky enough to have his as your guide!

We had a great time. Our driver Grabiel was fun and spoke really good English. The ATVs were everyone's favorite. For $90 it's a good value for everything with lunch included.
I personally didn't care the techilla tour and sales pitch but this is common on some of the viator tours like in Dominican Republic. Also if you want to buy pictures they are way over priced. For $70 I would expect at least a few prints

Great tour for the price. My wife wasn't feeling well so I reluctantly went by myself. I ended up with my own personal guide, Aaron ,who drove me around to each part of the tour and back to the pier the end. First was a tour of downtown Cozumel on the way to the ATVs. Once at ATV site Asron simply waited while I rode. ATV site was tremendous! Its a old quarry in the jungle which made the experience outstanding
ATV guide was Joshua who guided my group of 3 through the trails which included flats, hills and plenty of challenges. We went as fast as we were comfortable. There was a guy stationed throughout the trail taking pictures they try to sell at end, but no pressure to buy. Ride was about angour which was plenty. Then on to the Tequila testing. You Kearney how its made and got to try a number of samples. Again back with Aaron and off to lunch at the beach club. Small club right on the water where you can swim, snorkel,swim in pool or just enjoy the sun. Lunch, beef fajitas for me, were cooked to order and brought sizzling right to my chair to eat. I thought food was very tasty. You do have to pay for drinks so bring water if you want to avoid. I had a can of soda for $4 so not too bad. Aaron checked on me throughout and once I was ready he drove me back to the pier. Personal service for the day was unbelievable and was so unexpected. Guess it depends how many people from particular ship and I was only one from the Star Princess..

The ATV were so fun and I wish they would give more options to free flow. Our tour guide Brandon was amazing and personable. He made sure we were good. Daniel, the tequila guide was our favorite. We learned so much about the history and making tequila. He allowed us to ask questions and relate it to things we love. The snorkeling was fun and we saw some fish. The things that were not so good was our friend had to drive our tour around and the lunch food was not authentic or even good food. It was bland and dry. The lunch should have been somewhere else. They also charge for water and sodas with our meals, it was not included.
