Great snorkeling and great staff! I loved that the group was smaller. We got to enjoy the beauty of nature in a respectful way. Lots of sea life! We saw a baby shark, barracuda, tons of starfish, and lots of other fish. At our last stop, the stingrays swam right by our feet as we enjoyed a lovely fresh snack on the water. It was a wonderful day!

We had an absolute blast! They had a photographer on board who got awesome shots of us in the water with all of the sea life. He was able to airdrop all of our pics to my phone. The guacamole was the best I have ever had. The ceviche and pico were delicious also! Oh, and the rum punch. Yummy!!

Not suitable for infants or pets We can make pick up at certain hotels piers (see the list). You only have to pay the pier taxes directly to your hotel. Our departure is at 9:30AM or 2:00 PM from downtown. Collections from any hotels will be after these times - anywhere between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the distance from the hotel. Note: The locations we have available at the hotel docks are for the use of the guests of the above mentioned hotels only. Our primary meeting point is in downtown Cozumel, to the South side of the ferry terminal underneath the giant flagpole (approximately 2 minutes walk). One of our staff will be there, clearly marked with our branded clothing and signage, to welcome you. For clients arriving by cruise ship from the S.S.A and Puerta Maya terminals, please select the 'Cid la Ceiba' hotel as your departure point, which is a few minutes walk from the Puerta Maya terminal and the SSA terminal door. You will only pay a tax of $4 USD per passenger for use of this dock and we can gladly pick you up by boat. Our staff will meet you at the entrance of the hotel La Ceiba to accompany you to the catamaran, and assist you with paying the hotel.

Easy check in and walk to the catamaran. We were greeted by 4 people managing the boat. Super friendly and knowledgeable about everything. Safety is the number one priority. We did 3 stops for snorkeling and they were all amazing. Took awesome pictures and had a great experience. Our last stop was were we drank and ate. The ceviche and fruit were so yummy and fresh. The drinks kept on coming and we had the best time ever. Highly recommend this excursion.

Should have been called “snorkeling excursion”

The crew was wonderful, and we all felt safe and well guided. They knew what they were doing and made it fun. We saw a ton of fish, even a lobster, a shark, a turtle, and lots of sting rays. The snack at the last stop was unexpected and a lot of fun. We were aware from other reviews not to wear sunscreen and that there wasn’t shade. However, for a bunch of Europeans and Americans, it wasn’t a luxury catamaran - it was an entry level small boat, and we were fit in there pretty tightly. There was room for 22 plus crew and on our tour there was 20, and felt like every seat was taken. Since there was no shade, and no sunscreen allowed, most of us got pretty burned. We have been on other catamarans in the area that have shade, so had thought the catamaran was going to be much larger. The snorkeling was world class, the food and drinks were perfect, the crew - amazing. I would still do it again, but beware it is not a “luxury” catamaran.

Highlight of our trip. Amazing crew, sealife, and vibes. We saw baracuda, turtles, rays, starfish, and many fish. Some of the negative reviews scared me but this was so fun and a great trip. Per the “rushed” reviews.. we did not feel rushed, of course the crew had to be urgent when signaling time to jump and snorkel or time to get back on boat as you are seeing 4 different reefs/locations within 4 hours. Thats just the nature of the trip. Should you want more of a slow, relaxing trip this may not be for you. If you want to see as much wildlife as possible this is the trip for you. Ceviche, pico, and guac at El Cielo were AMAZING. Shoutout to Leo, Jesus, Porkchop, Baby Turtle, and the amazing underwater photographer. Pictures were amazing maximize your pictures if you are wanting to purchase, follow the photographer around and he will hook it up. Cost is $35 per person for the pics and videos.

Amazing experience!!

First time snorkeling but had an absolute blast!! Leo and his crew was so helpful and took us to different places to ensure we got to see all of the sea life. We especially enjoyed seeing the turtles and sting rays but seeing all the fish at the reef was amazing. We got to leave with some awesome pictures and videos thanks to their on board camera man. Our teenager loved it! We will definitely be doing this again!!

Better for beginners

We enjoyed this trip although we felt it would be better for beginners. We felt a little rushed, however, given the number of stops, we understand why. We are not expert snorkelers, but we have been on several previous trips. This one was not as laid-back as others. The crew was great. Pictures by Rafa were gorgeous.

Great experience! Luxury? No, but nice and spacious-Yes! The crew was super attentive and entertaining g, the photographer did an amazing job taking underwater pictures and the ceviche and rum punch was spot on for “snack time”. Rushed experience, not luxury

Very rushed experience. Don't bother buying reef safe sunscreen or if you do make sure you rub it in well. I bought reef safe sunscreen because it said it was ok but once I got on the boat they asked if I had a rag to while it off and I said it was reef safe and they said if I don’t take it off I can’t snorkel. Was not a luxury catamaran the bathroom was terrifying. They were rushing us to jump in the water then we were at two spots for 10 min MAX. My mom needed a little more assistance and was not taken care of. Food was good but a little chaotic I didn’t know which plate was mine or others. Best part was the photographer, if I could give him 5 stars I would. Also didn’t see any turtles, but the sting Rey’s were cool.

Great experience. Guides are very friendly and keep the group together and on schedule and they point things out to look at. Having one guide underwater taking pics and video for the snorkelers to purchase was great for keepsakes of the event.

This is a great tour, we really enjoyed the day in the water! Saw many fish, rays and 1 turtle. Ceviche was wonderful! We even rescued another disabled boat! Crew was great and i appreciated the on board photographer who captured our trip! Excellent your! What you do need to know is bring your things in a dry bag, they will get wet and so will you on the boat.

Overall good experience. One thing is that we hoped the photographer to take a few photos for us but he only took photos for some families and ignored us despite I have swam in front of him a few times. Also the meeting time is a bit too long, we waited for over 1hr to get started. Otherwise great value for the trip.

An unforgettable experience

This was a really lovely experience. The guides were very informative and friendly and one of them also took plenty of photos of all of us in the group. Plenty of drinks and snacks were also offered. If you’ve not snorkelled at all before it’s worth getting familiar with it before hand because as soon as you arrive at the first stop you are encouraged to jump of quickly and get in with it so you don’t miss anything. We saw loads of varieties of beautiful fish, eels, a turtle, starfish, sting rays. The stingrays actually made their appearance when we were in the shallow spot enjoying our refreshments. I then started swimming around with my goggles and they swam right underneath me. It was unforgettable. This was very good value for money.

The crew on the Poseidon was great! They were knowledgeable, professional, funny, and great guides/hosts. Life jackets are provided as well as snorkel gear but you can bring your own if you’d like. 10/10 would go on this tour again!

Had a great time snorkeling. We went to 4 stops, ending on a sandbar. We saw a turtle, stingray, nurse shark, and lots of fish. Only downside is they charge $80 for the pictures they take. I feel like it should be included like on other excursions I’ve taken, or at least a more reasonable price.

Swimming with the Fishes

Went with two of my adult daughters and my granddaughter. We all had a great time snorkeling from this boat. Safety was a priority and the crew took good care of my daughter when she cut her toe on some coral. The drinks and snack were quite good and the views underwater were wonderful. Would recommend a swim shirt as sunscreen is not allowed and shoulders love to burn.

Worst part of my honeymoon

Of this 4-hour experience, nearly 3 hours is just driving around in the boat between different snorkeling sites or picking up / dropping off passengers at hotels and cruise ships. They don't let you wear reef-safe sunscreen and there's no shade on the "luxury" catamaran. I have been recovering for two weeks now from the sunburn I received on this trip, and I don't burn easily. Also plates / dishes did not seem sanitary. They were being washed all together in a couple buckets. Due to "weather conditions", we didn't get to go to El Cielo. Instead, they took us to four sites (one of which was just a low tier beach). At each snorkeling site, they rush you along so you don't even get time to look at anything. We spent maybe 30 minutes total snorkeling. And then another 30 minutes at the beach. After this, we went to The Cabanas Beach Club and snorkeled all afternoon for around $30 USD each. If you're looking for great snorkeling, look at a beach club or another tour boat, but save yourself the trouble and avoid this one. I booked this as part of a 1-week Honeymoon trip to Mexico. My wife and I agreed, it was the worst part of the whole trip.

It was a good experience but we waited more than an hour for the boat. Then we stopped for only 15 to 20 minutes on each stop. Also, It is described as a catamaran but it doesn’t have a sail. The ceviche on the surfboard was a nice surprise and a great ending.

This is a fabulous snorkeling tour. The captain and crew could not have been nicer. Plenty of good snorkeling and we ended in a ray area with lunch served on a surfboard in the water! What a great way to finish up. I highly recommend this excursion. You cannot beat it!

This is an excellent choice for a snorkeling tour. You are taken to 3 different locations and at the end a very good water picnic with salsa chips and ceviche.

This was a wonderful amazing experience for me. The crew of the Poseidon were wonderful and very friendly and helpful. I have cerebral palsy and they took great care of me and everyone. They know how to have fun! I am a travel advisor and I will definitely be recommending this excursion to my clients and I will definitely be back!

Amazing tour and crew! We had a change in itinerary due to weather but still had excellent time. Added bonus was the photos Raphael took were amazing that we were able to purchase to have as an additional keepsake- highly recommend!

Packed boat and tourists felt taken advantage of.

I was expecting a luxury catamaran or at least to have enough space to fully sit down on a seat. As guests staying on the island we were the first to be picked up and the last to be dropped off we spent more time collecting the other passengers than being in the water. The amt of ppl on the boat packed onto the boat made everything longer and it was exhausting waiting for the cruise ship passengers to calm down. The tour unfortunately had to divert to less desirable reefs due to the strong currents. I guess I wish I would have taken them up on reshuffling my other tours to change it so we could visit the three locations that we actually booked our trip to Cozumel for. Guides were nice but asking for tips and cutting the engine and saying 'oh we ran outta gas and need to collect money' well in advance of the first drop off was really off putting and offensive and I've never experienced THAT before. Felt like it was a forced tip and I tip normally and well and don't mind when the experience justifies the result. If ppl didn't tip, the boat crew didn't accept the first no or we don't have cash and I saw many of the younger travelers being pressured. Once tips were collected, the mood changed and it was all business and no smiles. I wouldn't rebook.
