VIP alllll the time you get to experience a 1 to one experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He didn’t rush us. We really enjoyed tequila tasting at another level lol shhhhh I took a bottle home 🤣

It was horrendous. Never did meet up with the tour operator. Could not walk the distance due to heart condition. Made at least 4 calls to viator and 4 calls to tour operator. Asked for refund my reply was no.

We cannot access the pier for security reasons, and you were informed that we were waiting for you after a one-hour delay. However, you decided not to come on the tour even though we had everything ready for you. Please let me know if you decide to return so we can compensate you with a new tour. Our tour guide Hans was the absolute best! With 8 college age guys he really did his best to make sure we got to do and see everything around the island that was on our itinerary, and he even helped us do some local shopping at the grocery store. Overall my whole group could not have been happier with the experience! Would definitely book again to see some of the things we missed.

Started off Rocky....

This excursion started off a little rocky but did improve as the day went on. Our cruise ship docked at 9:00 a.m., and I had scheduled the excursion for 9:30. Unfortunately, because of the time difference, we missed it. I do wish there had been a clear notice explaining that excursions are booked on local time, not ship time, as that would have helped us avoid the confusion. That said, a young lady (I didn’t catch her name) saw that we were upset and went out of her way to get us on a later excursion, which we truly appreciated. Miguel was our driver, and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The restaurant portion, however, was very disappointing. There were raccoon-like animals everywhere—climbing in the trash and even on the tables—which was very off-putting, especially around food. We ordered fajitas, and they were not good. The food was not hot, the beef tasted like mystery meat, and the rice and beans were ice cold. My husband accidentally walked into the kitchen while looking for the restroom and was disturbed by how unclean it appeared. Unfortunately, I became ill with stomach issues the following day. Overall, we enjoyed the sightseeing and the history shared during the tour, and we appreciated the staff member who helped us after we missed our original time. However, the restaurant experience and the lack of clear communication about excursion times were significant downsides.

6 people in our party. One of our party felt there was a little pressure on buying items. Everyone else had a great time. Lunch a was an experience. The Pygmy Raccoon had the run of place during lunch.

Great experience despite the rain!

We originally booked dune buggies and David was able to make it happen, even when they weren't initially available. The weather turned and we got rained on, but our driver adapted (as did we) and made the best of it! Great experience overall!

Only Did The Beach Missed Out On Everything Else

I took one star off for two reasons, the tequila tasting is a waste of time other reviews said the same thing and I told our driver we can eliminate that part but he insisted. The beach is spectacular!! San Martin beach was stunning! We did not get to snorkel as planned or see the tortilla making as described but that gorgeous beach was seriously to die for. Crystal clear salt water, rocks and pure soft sand. It was the perfect day and magnificently beautiful. Then we ended at a swamp cenote and we could’ve passed on that too. The lunch was pretty good. Had the beef fajitas. Do not get any water they charge $3 a bottle and do not let you know it’s an up charge. I feel like when you pay hundreds of dollars for an experience you should just go enjoy the experience and not have to worry about tipping all over the place to every place you see. I would recommend only because that beach is worth it all and the private transportation.

Great tour and great guide

Our driver, Gizmo, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He is of part Mayan decent and was able to give us real information on the history of the Mayans and the island. He took us to the ancient Mayan temple, per our request, gearing our excursion to what we wanted. The Jeep was new, comfortable, and roomy. The included lunch was at a small Mexican cafe along the coastline, with great food. We're really glad we booked this excursion through this company and had this great guide!

Pros: Carlos was punctual, friendly and provided a thorough history of Cozumel. He was also super flexible trying to find a watch and cruise card holder. There was a newer model Jeep. We appreciatd the flexibility to skip tequila/chocolate/honey tasting but still witness the impressive Mayan Purification Ceremony. We had been in Cozumel a month prior and the Buggy Tour we took (different company) and can attest this is THE TOUR to take! Con: restaurant had slow service and our food was given to another table. This delay took away from our ability to go snorkeling. Provided we could skip the restaurant, we would book this excursion again.

It was fun and David our guide was great. Food was excellent. They were able to work with our tight schedule. I do not recommend the Otoch tequila tasting. It was fun but a tourist trap with overpriced goods. I fell for it and was over charged in addition.

Our day was simply spectacular!! We did SO MUCH!! From amazing convo to cold drinks/beer WHENEVER to snorkeling and delicious food! I love Viator and ALL of the companies they partner with. I’ve been impressed EVERY TIME. Claudio was our guide yesterday and be became FAMILY in one short day!!! LOVE!

We loved our jeep tour of Cozumel with Hugo! He was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of Cozumel! The Otoch center was a wonderful experience! The fajita lunch was delicious and the ocean backdrop was gorgeous! Snorkeling in the crystal clear waters was definitely a highlight, and Hugo led us well, pointing out fish, conchs, and other marine life. We highly recommend this tour!
