What To Expect

Set off directly from the Cozumel Marina onboard a catamaran to the Palancar and Columbia reefs. Slip on the provided snorkeling gear and dive in to spot colorful fish, sea turtles, and other marine wildlife.

You'll also stop at El Cielo and El Cielito Beach, where you can look for starfish and baby rays.

Between stops, relax on board with ceviche, and a variety of beverages from soft drinks to beer, margarita, and bottled water.

Afterward, head to a secluded beach to soak up the sun and swim in the pristine waters of Cozumel. At the end of the day, cruise back to the meeting point.

We had a great time- the team on the boat was wonderful. Knowledgeable, super sweet, and friendly. We had a great day on the water. Surprised about some of the negative reviews. I guess there are different boats and guides. We were so pleased with this trip.

The option to swim without the life preserver and free dive was very good. I thought that water should have been offered throughout the trip but it was only offered towards the end at El Cielito. The crew really skimped on the beer and food. I only had two small cans of beer; that is all that was offered, and one fruit drink. For the price I paid I did not get my moneys worth.

False advertising

Although we did get to snorkel our excursion was supposed to include a beach club that we did not get to go to. We only booked this excursion because it said beach club after snorkeling. Half of my group only went on this because of a beach club.

Perfect spots to view

The spots we stopped at were beautiful and had lots to see. The guide in the water made sure to have us follow him to see all the cool life on the bottom of the sea. Turtles, stingrays and starfish did not disappoint

Overpriced and NOT a Snorkeling Experience…

This was not a snorkel experience since they provided no fins! Just a mask and snorkel. Also, pretty sure one of the reefs we went to was dead :/ Not a catamaran either…a sad old boat. Overpriced. Only redeeming aspect was the sandbar at the end with some booze and ceviche. 10/10 would not go!

Last minute cancellation with no prior notice

We were very excited to go on this highly rated excursion yesterday (3/29/24), but the tour operators at May Be Tours were unable to take us out due to the marina being closed due to high winds. It was otherwise a sunny beautiful day in Cozumel, so this caught all of us by surprise. Our cruise ship (and all other cruise ships) were able to dock in Cozumel. It was just that the smaller marina that this tour operates out of was closed due to the wind. This cancellation was due to the weather and out of the control of the tour operators, so I’m not holding the cancellation itself against them. Nevertheless, I need to give them poor marks due to the terrible communication about the cancellation. While they can’t control the weather, they can control their communication. First of all, no party on our excursion were notified ahead of time that the tour was cancelled. We all found out only when we arrived at the marina after paying $20-$30 each way for a taxi ride. They likely knew first thing in the morning that the marina was closed, especially since a different tour company on site told me that the marina was closed the day prior as well due to the weather. They should have notified us via email so that we wouldn’t have to waste a bunch of money getting to/from the marina. Seriously, every party involved in this cancelled excursion are out $50-$60 each purely because they couldn’t bother to tell us ahead of time that the excursion was cancelled. There’s nothing else to do near the marina either, so it was quite literally a $50 taxi ride to nowhere and back for us. Second, we arrived 15 minutes early for our 9:30am excursion like we were told, but were not informed by the captain about the cancellation until 9:45am. There were at least 4 groups on this tour who were all forced to just sit outside and wait for an update. Apparently they thought the marina might open back up, but it didn’t. Finally, we were promised refunds but have yet to be refunded 24 hours later. We’ll see how long it’ll take to actually get our refund, but I would not be surprised if I have to file a claim with my credit card company to get that money back. ($400+ for our family of 5!) I’m sure this excursion would’ve been great had we been able to go. May Be Tours just needs to improve their customer service for those times when weather conditions force a cancellation of the tour.

That was terrible excursion and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. The guys on a catamaran were good, but the places to snorkel were we stopped were not interesting, there were just few fishes and stars, no corals, no other interesting things. Then, I've noticed that something happened to the motor on catamaran and I asked twice if we will be able to get back. The captain and another worker told me that everything will be fine, don't worry, we will be back on time. At the end, they dropped us off almost 1 hour from the place where they suppose to and they said that we can take a taxi to the ship to be back on time. Plus to that, they asked if we want to contribute anything to them!!! The name of the catamaran Zeus, the name of the company which provided the service Maybe Tour ( I should pay attention to the name of this company at the beginning - "maybe". I do not recommend to anyone, specially people who is travelling by ship and needs to be back on time. We were very upset with this tour.

DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR!! We took a taxi from our hotel in Riviera Maya to the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen, took the ferry ride over to Cozumel, then took another taxi from the ferry terminal to Maybe Tours office location. We spent a lot of money getting there, only to be told nonchalantly that the tour was cancelled. No advanced notice. No offer to reimburse us for the travel expense to get there. They simply did not care and there was no reason given. The weather was also perfect! Not windy or anything. I would stay away from this tour company.

I would not recommend this to anyone. We did not go to el coeliac as they said it was closed which it was not!!!! Also we kept asking about the beach club and they did not take us. Totally awful. So disappointing. Never again!!! Vistor needs to do a better job with due diligence. After this terrible experience I will never take another tour with them.

The tour started 1 hour late. They took us snorkeling at two really nice places. The issue is, in the tour description, they promised a beach club visit, ceviche, and more, but that didn't happen. We only got a bit of guacamole and the margaritas weren't great either. Not meeting the tour description isn't fair to the customer.

There is NO beach club. It is false advertising! I would have given a better rating if it was only for the wildlife experience but had to give a poor rating due to the false advertising and the fact that I paid for pictures that were taken and NEVER received. I would not be able to recommend this excursion to anyone due to that.

Great for a day of boating. Tour did not put the sail up. Saw very few fish. 1 or 2 turtles on the bottom. Seen more scuba divers than fish 🐟 😂 Food and drink were ok.

The 3 Star rating has nothing to do with tour guides. The tour guides were fantastic. The snorkeling experience was pretty amazing. I really think the experience could’ve earned a 5 Star rating if the beverages and meal provided were a little better set. The beer was the absolute cheapest money can afford. Everything was placed on a surf board in the water which is cool, but for the number of people it wasn’t enough. To be honest I lost my appetite watching the rest of the guests hoard the ceviche down. The group was small, maybe 15 people, but not enough food. Some people wouldn’t move or make space for others to enjoy some ceviche. It would have been better if they served that on the boat like a buffet table. The tour guides did a great job. I’d do this experience again, but I’d take my own lunch. This was a last minute decision and this snorkeling tour was the only option left so I purchased it. Perhaps next time I will compare with others ahead of time and see what it’s like. The catamaran was clean and very well kept. No issues there. Probably the cleanest boat out there. I would recommend, but with that little lunch/snack detail. I would recommend to the tour Tortuga Club to provide better quality alcohol and make a price adjustment. Also, the serving of the food on the surf board is a cool idea, but only if you’re serving drinks and fruit. Ceviche and chips would be better enjoyed individually on the boat.

It's supposed be a Catamaran, snorkeling, and beach access. When we got there, we were told a family canceled and the catamaran was not available due to not enough participants. We could either cancel or take a small boat with no Ceviche, Margaritas, or sodas. They never took us to the Beach Club. A discount was offered but it's not what we signed up for. Be careful with MayBeTours. Maybe you get the tour you want and MayBe not. What we did get was three great snorkel stops to see the coral reef, turtles, and starfish. Our tour guides did a good job. Our final stop was at the sand bar where we had guacamole and beer.

Bait and Switch - Do Not Use This Company

Don't expect to show up to an available catamaran. Arrived and they said the boat was booked for a private group so they could not honor our reservation. So they put us on a different tour for a nominal refund, but failed to tell us that is was an entirely different package. Just skip this and enjoy your Cozumel time elsewhere.

Our trip was fun and snorkeling was great with good equipment. We didn’t however make it to the beach club for some reason, but I can’t say that necessarily detracted from the overall experience. The crew was fun and helpful.

We had a good time, but I feel like this was marketed incorrectly. The description says unlimited drinks, but the drinks were offered until the very end of the excursion. Also, the fact that you can’t put on sunscreen was not shared, until after the boat left the dock. Three members of our party got terrible sun poisoning. Blistering, almost hospitalized. Horrible experience for them. Also, the beach club is rundown and nothing is included. And there’s not much of a beach.

This was our absolute favorite excursion. The crew was friendly, professional, and fun. The snorkeling areas were in the bluest, clearest, water I’ve ever seen in my life. The sea life was beautiful. There was a photographer on board that took amazing underwater photos that we will always treasure. The chef cut up all of the fruits & veggies for fresh guacamole, pico, and ceviche during our beach stop. It truly was a PERFECT day!!!

We couldn’t go on the catamaran because we couldn’t go at the time we made the reservation because of time restraint from cruise, so they took us at an earlier time just my family and I on a smaller boat. Still visited same spots. We couldn’t be happier it was so beautiful, we live in the Florida keys used to clear water but nothing like this it was absolutely breathtaking. I recommend 110%

This tour was fantastic! The Catamaran was the perfect size, and the crew were wonderful. We went to multiple sites for snorkeling, including a deep water site, a turtle sanctuary, and a sandbar. The food and drink were amazing! We could not believe how well we ate during this excursion. We saw a ton of fish, and the three sites provided variety in the fish and sea life that we saw. I highly recommend this tour -- we booked this tour independent of the cruiseline and were so glad that we did. The directions for getting to the tour site were perfect and easy to follow!

We really enjoyed this trip that was well staffed with great people. Elias took great care to educate all of the participants, show people how to do things and lead the dance party at the end. Oliver was a great bartender, chef and underwater photographer (see attached). While the photos were extra, they were optional - we loved them so bought them all. Captain was great and accommodating. Boat had people from different tours so the end result was a mush mash (we didn’t go to the beach club but did make a stop for turtles and time at the sandbar. Boat was not over crowded and the patrons were all pleasant. A great day on the water.
