Amazing private geology exploration
Private tour to Thingvellir National Park is amazing. Guide and transportation were fantastic. Learned about geology and saw the pipes that transport geothermally heated water to homes. My husband is a geologist and was very impressed.

Absolutely amazing.
This was AMAZING. The suits are an experience in and of themselves, but kept us very dry and very buoyant. The water was unbelievably clear and Nail was incredible, especially with my mom. The time passed so fast, I could have kept going for much longer. I soaked up every moment I could exploring the lagoon after the Silfra. Unreal.

Unique experience!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, helped us get all of our gear on and be as prepared as possible. I was not as cold as I expected (it was cold but not terrible). Pretty scenery and a unique experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Silfra Fissure Dive with an Incredible Guide
We had an amazing experience scuba diving in the Silfra Fissure with Arctic Adventures Iceland, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Franceska—she was absolutely amazing.
From the very beginning, Franceska went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She warmed up our gloves, helped us with our dry suits, and brought such genuine excitement and enthusiasm to the experience. This was our second cold-water dive, and her calm, supportive presence made all the difference.
Yes, the water was really cold—there was even snow next to the fissure—but despite that, the dive was incredibly enjoyable. We were definitely cold, but it was 100% worth it.
What truly stood out was Franceska’s genuine care for us. She always put our comfort and safety first, which made the entire experience feel personal and well-managed. Her positive energy and professionalism turned a challenging environment into an unforgettable adventure.
If you’re considering diving Silfra, I can’t recommend Arctic Adventures—and especially Franceska—enough!

Soooooo cool. The water is cold and the gear is heavy but it’s a once in a lifetime experience! We were in the water for 30 minutes which was a good amount of time and put on/took off gear for the rest of the time. Total time was approx. and hour and a half

Excellent way to visit Thingvellir National Patk
Most bus tours will stop at this national park for about 30 minutes. You need at least 2 hours to walk around this beautiful site. Our guide was Thorir who was so kind and accommodating. My friend, my 18 year old son and I went with Thorir and absolutely enjoyed his explantation of the place. He also waited with us as we photographed our other family members snorkeling on a separate tour at the park. Would highly recommend this if you want aelaxed and enjoyable private tour!

Amazing experience!
This was an amazing experience! I was originally worried about the cold, but it is so magical you don’t even realize. They instruct you on what to wear and what to do while snorkeling beforehand. I would recommend thin layers underneath the suit. We did not get wet except our hair and hands. Yianni was amazing and we cannot recommend him enough!!

A once in a lifetime experience explore the world
To see some of the ‘freshest’ crust on the planet in a beautiful watery environment, what a privilege. The pre-dive nerves were put at peace when we were introduced to our dive master - Nail. Every single thing was explained and help was given at every step. The preamble regarding safety was clear and again, alleviated any anxiety. Once in the 3 degree water, honestly not that cold! We were corralled through the amazing canyons of the diverging plates, and we took in the majesty of God’s creation. The short walk back to the base allowed us to exchange our shared memories of our experiences. The dry suit lived up to its name, and we quickly back in our outer winter clothes. A hot chocolate was very welcome, and we were done. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. Obrigado x in

Amazing experience!
Amazing experience, I would highly recommend it. Also if you have only little experience on snorkling. I was nervous about that, but its all fine, don't be scared. It is soooo beautiful down there. And its not cold at all, only hands and face but that's no problem. The suit keeps you perfectly warm.
Please note that because of the suit, this tour takes quite some time. Putting on the suit, the briefing, the snorkling itself, getting out of the suit afterwards, count on 2,5 hours all together.
The water is so clear, its amazing. It is a wonderfull experience! Our guide Maya was great and took pictures!

5 Stars - well deserved
Snorkeling the Silfra fissure with Arctic Adventures was, without question, the crown jewel of our entire trip around Iceland. We came to this country chasing the extraordinary — and somehow, this experience still managed to exceed every expectation we had built along the way.
"There are moments in travel that stop time. Drifting through the clearest water on earth, between the Americas and Europe, was one of them."
Our guide Henry was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he walked us through everything we needed to know with genuine enthusiasm and expertise — briefing us on the geology of the rift, coaching us on technique, and making sure every member of the group felt confident before we ever touched the water. His knowledge of Silfra ran deep, and his calm, reassuring presence made the whole experience feel both safe and truly special.
We also got to see Mikki guiding the other group alongside us — clearly a well-oiled team. The whole operation felt professional and thoughtful from start to finish.
The dry suits provided by Arctic Adventures were a revelation. Despite the near-freezing glacial water, we stayed completely dry and comfortable throughout the entire snorkel. The gear fitting was thorough, and the quality made all the difference — this is not a company cutting corners.
Silfra itself is otherworldly. The visibility stretches endlessly through water so pure it feels unreal. Drifting between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia, through cathedral-like underwater passages, is something that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else on earth. Arctic Adventures gave us the perfect vessel for that experience.
If you are doing a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Iceland, do not skip this. And when you go — book with Arctic Adventures. Ask for Henry. You will not regret a single moment.
