Had a wonderful time eating an array of delicious street food I never would have been able to experience without this tour! Kota was so kind and knowledgeable and guided my family and I to many hidden places that were teeming with locals! Would absolutely recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful guide Hiro who took us to less crowded and more locals than tourists to several food places in Namba. Highly recommend for first time visitors to Osaka

We had a really really great time at our food tour with Haru, thank you so much! Good conversations and good food of course :) I found it special that she asked us what we want to eat and organised it spontaneously. The 3 hours went by so fast!

Our host was very nice and spoke great English. The restaurants she took us to were all good but the sushi restaurant was THE BEST! Only problem was the steep stairs in each restaurant to the 2nd floor. If you have mobility issues, then you should make that in notations to ask them in advance to only select restaurants that you can enter on the ground level. Or that have an elevator.

Mayuka led our small group on a great tour that was catered to our tastes. She took us to some fun non-touristy places to eat and we really enjoyed spending time with her.

We had a difficult time finding the store (it was underground and Google Maps did not know how to direct us there) but thankfully our guide found us! If you get lost having WhatsApp would be helpful to communicate. Once our guide (Satsuki) found us it was great! She told us about the Osaka culture and took us to a lot of local places. The food was great and we went to a couple of small bars too! She is studying English in school and speaks it very well. Overall we were happy with the tour and company of Satsuki!

We did not follow the itinerary, and instead spent the entire time in just 3 restaurants. Our tour guide was also from another country, and not even Japanese, having lived in the country for three years as a student. Other than visiting the three restaurants, we saw no other hidden "gems". We still enjoyed our time & the food, but disappointed we did not get to see other things as advertised.

thank you for your honest review. actully it was a little more crowded than a normal day. Overall guest was bit slow to eat the food and since it was food toure thats why the guide focus to the food. But still we are verry sorry for not follow the itinerary. we will take care of it strongly.

This was a very fun night out. We visited 2 Izakayas and a sake bar. Unlike other did yours, the food is not included in the tour price. The positive of this is you can choose your food and price, the downside is that it can get cumbersome working out payment if things are crowded, and you get less variety. It was fun to socialize with the other guests, and our guide Shehab was very good at sensing the vibe and adjusting to what worked well for the group. Make sure you tell your guide at the start if there's anything you really want to try.

Yukika was a fantastic tour guide who was incredibly bubbly! She took us to spots we would have never found ourselves and they did not disappoint!
Our group were from all different countries and ages but it was great to make new friends.

My husband and I were a bit jetlagged, but wanted a quick tour of Osaka and to try some local treats before we crashed. Our guide, Chinatsu, was a delight. She took us to three local restaurants. It is important to note that the tour does not include the food and beverages. We chose this one for that reason, because I am a bit pickier than my husband and only wanted to pay for what I wanted to eat (no squid or octopus for me.) Chinatsu took us to kitchen row, Dotonbori, Gilco running man and canal, and to an amazing shrine. She even helped us figure out the train to get to our next destination.

My family and I were hoping for an authentic local experience but what we got was far from it. Our guide, Gil, didn't know the area very well and had to use the maps function on his phone several times. Two of the places he tried to take us to were closed. He wasn't very good at reading the energy of the group and took us to a spot we were not comfortable. He was very keen to eat a lot of the food and then push the bill our way. We very much hoped for a Osakan local but that was not the case. We tried to maintain high hopes that the tour would get better but it never did. With the same guide, I would not recommend this tour to anyone. It's unfortunate we did not have the same experience as some of the 4/5-star reviews of this same tour.

We picked this Osaka food tour as it was to be with a local guide. Our guide was definitely local (as he lives in Osaka) although not from Japan. This said, Gil was a great tour guide and took us to a variety of places to experience different types of local foods. He was very knowledgeable about the area, foods, and customs.
This is a 4 star review simply because the tour advertised that there would be a local tour guide -- which implies someone who is Japanese. This was not the case. Nevertheless, Gil was a great guide!

Gil was an amazing tour guide! We were still a little jet lagged so 3 hours was tough to get thru but we were very very happy to have done it. The history of downtown Osaka and the foods we were introduced to were great.

Solid food tour overall. Our guide was very new and that did show at times, but the experience still accomplished exactly what we needed, helping us comfortably step into small, cozy restaurants and hidden spots that we would have felt too intimidated to enter on our own. For that alone, it was absolutely worth it. The guide was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly eager to learn. While still gaining experience, I’m confident that will come with time. If you’re looking for a way to explore lesser-known restaurants and focus primarily on the food experience, I’d recommend this tour.

Ken was extremely knowledgeable and took us to some great eateries, pointing out sights and his favourite restaurants along the way.
We ended up having Ken all to ourselves and it was like being shown around by a good friend. We had a great time and thoroughly recommend.

We were able to try plenty of different foods. We went to 3 sit down restaurants and 1 grab n go window shop. Everything tasted amazing. Majority of the places we stopped at took credit cards, which was nice.

Our guide Momomi really helped make our tour great. She took us to three different local izakayas in Osaka which was great because it’s places we would have never been able to find on our own. The food was not included in the tour and she kept track of the different costs. It was great because you can customize it to what you want to eat unlike other traditional food tours where they take you to a set number of restaurants.

Great tour with Yoshi . He’s very knowledgeable of the area and different types of Japanese drinks. We went to a few restaurants and a bar at the end and did a great walk around a very busy Shinjuku area.

Truly a great tour, our guide Miki was full of enthusiasm and great local knowledge. We dined at places we would have never found without Miki's street knowledge. We loved the way the tour was customised on the fly to suit our taste. Highly recommend these guys for a tour.
