We will meet at 6:00 PM in front of MEGA Don Quijote Shinsekai. Your guide will be holding a sign that says “Osaka Food Walking Tour”. You’ll see a big penguin sign on the building, so it’s easy to find. There is also a FamilyMart right next to the entrance.

Awful value for money. Nice guide but this is nowhere near worth the money. Whole experience should cost around 30 usd. The first 2 stops on tour are covered as part of the expensive price. The latter two stops are not covered. Mark up is silly. Guide failed to warn us we would be eating shark. Avoided the question when it came up. I asked for fifty percent refund and it was denied. AVOID

This was the best food tour I have ever been on, Bao was amazing. He taught us about the food culture, pop culture, and fun local Osaka lingo. The food we ate was delicious and everyone was very friendly. I’d recommend this tour to anyone (friend groups and families alike). Very worthwhile. Amazing food. Ben took us to local dining spots with gyoza, tako-yaki, sushi & tempura. It was all delicious and he also gave us some history context throughout the tour. Ben, thank you!

The best tour! Ben and the other people we met along the way made this tour fantastic. We went to three different restaurants and enjoyed everything we ate and drank. But the time with Ben was what really made this tour. Highly recommend booking this great tour!

Mizuki was our guide, and she was bubbly, funny, and informative about local food culture and customs. My wife and I had an excellent time strolling around local spots to discover places we’d likely not have found otherwise. Mizuki was kind to answer all our questions, even the silly ones. Do yourself a favor, book this experience if you’re looking to go off script and try something new.

Absolutely fabulous intimate experience with Ben. We moved between 3 sit down stops and got a feel for the area. The food was amazing, we went back to one place again the following night. Ben’s English is great, which made it feel more like friends than the bigger tours we other nights.

We really enjoyed our tour with Ben and Chihiro! We got to eat at restaurants we never would have found on our own and got to experience the less touristy side of Osaka in Tennoji. We especially enjoyed the okonomiyaki restaurant, the food was amazing and the owners and regulars were so sweet and welcoming to us. There was not too much walking involved, just enough to stretch our legs after a long day. I would definitely recommend this tour, but remember to bring cash as some establishments do not take credit card.

Ben was an ultimate guide!
The tour was intimate, customized, informative and a pure local night life hangout experience. Trust me, without Ben, you wouldn’t have an Osaka experience like this one.
We ate and sipped izakaya style. The cost was nominal when taking into account all the wonderful foods, drinks, and conversation we shared, not to mention the authentic atmosphere of our Tennoji tour that Ben offered.
He customized the tour on the spot and took us to a local karaoke bar. We had a blast!

We will certainly come back to hangout with Ben in the future.

10/10 This tour was one of the best experiences that we had in all of Japan. Soichiro (Ben) is a chef so he has a wonderful palette and took us to three different local eating spots. The food was sooo yummy. He also give us a mini tour of Osaka and we loved it! He truly personalized the tour to my husband and I, even taking us to an arcade and slot machine place because my husband really wanted to understand how it worked. Ben was friendly, food was fantastic, and it was all around good vibes. Highly recommend this tour!
