What are people saying about Normandy

Excellent excursion with extended opportunity to walk and reflect on the hallowed beaches and Pointe Du Hoc
Our travel guide, Ash (a graduate student at the Sorbonne) was extremely knowledgeable. His memory and recitation of history, dates, facts and figures regarding number of fathers and sons buried together, brothers buried together, total interred, etc. was most impressive and enhanced the excursion. I thought this was better than the Princess excursion because, instead of stopping at a local restaurant for an hour and a half lunch, this tour gave everyone a bag-lunch of ham and cheese on a French baguette with homemade macaroons, and potato chips, to allow for an extra hour+ touring Omaha, Utah, and Pointe Du Hoc, which was the whole point of this excursion. I especially appreciated being able to walk on Omaha Beach and gather a small sample of sand from this hallowed ground. It also gave us time to have our lunch at picnic tables under field tents that were set up by the US, British and French forces who gathered to commemorate the June 6th D-Day anniversary.

Wonderful and moving experience.
We loved this tour! Peter, our tour guide, was wonderful and incredibly knowledgable on WWII history. He took us to the Normandy American Cemetery, the memorial site for the National Guard, and the cliffs where the Army Rangers scaled on D-Day. We had a delicious lunch at the beach as well.

Two Satisfied Americans!!!
From the start, our tour guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She genuinely cared about the sites that we saw and our experience as a whole. Would absolutely recommend to somebody who has only 1 day to visit the American D Day sites. If you have more than one day, this tour is still a great option as it will help you get much of your site seeing done then you can go do whatever you feel like you would like more time at. Thanks again!!!

Excellent 1/2 Day / D-Day Experience!
This half day tour is a must do! Lucy, our guide, picked us up at our hotel and we joined a small group for a memorable experience at the Normandy American Cemetery, Point du Hoc and Omaha Beach. As we drove to each point and upon arrival, Lucy shared a wealth of knowledge and answered questions. She was very accommodating to each of us, making sure we were comfortable. This tour was the perfect way to see 3 outstanding areas, gaining a historical perspective and honoring those who perished in World War II. It was truly moving.

An incredible day!
I truly incredible experience. I don't think anyone can really understand how terrible war is until you stand at the top of the cemetery and look at the graves of almost ten thousand men who gave everything so I did not have to grow up speaking German.
Our guide was really wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. He made the entire trip great.

Great tour that covers a lot of information and sites. Our tour guide Fred was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history and the region. Timing for the excursion was very good without feeling rushed as you visited each site. Highly recommend this tour!

Great service and so friendly
Definitely worthwhile. First off - the service. We had challenges with trains and luggage getting to Bayeaux and they saved the day last minute by taking our luggage in the tour van. Then after they made a special trip to drop off us with luggage at our hotel which was amazing. It really saved our day.
In terms of the tour I really appreciated seeing and hearing about some of the less considered parts of d day like the logistics. We all know the famous beach stories - and it’s amazing to see Omaha - but I feel like I got a lot more appreciation of the whole operation. Plus our guide really focused on the human factor - the loss of life and huge impacts - on both the soldiers and the French.
I definitely recommend this tour to anyone. I will advise that coming to Bayeaux in the morning without any place to leave your luggage will make the day harder. There are luggage storage places but they take lunch beaks from 12-2. So make sure you have a plan for luggage or come the day before so you can have a stress free day.

Fantastic Tour!
This was a fantastic tour to the three major sites (American cemetery, Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc). Our tour guide (can't remember her name, but she wears a pink jacket) was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge. There were 7 of us on the tour. I can't recommend it enough.

Awesome for kids!
This was the perfect way to make history fun for kids. Ours were 12 and 14 and loved sitting on the back of the motorcycle and riding in the side car. Remi and John were great guides who clearly loved their job and enjoyed sharing Normandy with visitors. Highly recommend!

Informative and emotional
Our guide, Thierry, was very knowledgeable. He added a lot to the tour with his detailed stories about some of the men who fought in these battles, and the tactics and strategies of the combatants and their commanders. He used pictures and maps of the action in his presentation. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be ready for a few close quarters and steps in the bunkers. Also be ready to stand as your tour guide details what happened in these areas in 1944. Come with your questions. Our guide time the ending to be at the EOD taps and flag lowering.

Great tour and guide!
Absolutely terrific from start to finish. Emilie, who was my contact in setting up the trip, was great with good communication.
V, our guide, was equally wonderful. She was really well-prepared with a book of visual aids that really added to the information presented.
En route to Pont du Hoc, she laid out the war prior to D-Day, with the resistance and the Vichy government.

Mont Saint-Michel Tour
We were happy to be picked up in Bayeux and driven to Mont Saint-Michel. My husband was happy to be there during low tide and get to walk out on the muddy clay surrounding the island. The village and Abby were as impressive as we’d hoped. Our guide, Vi, was full of knowledge and stories than enriched the experience. I enjoyed the scale models of the Mont. Keep in mind the lines for the bus back to the parking lot are long, so we had to wait for another bus, and that made us a little late on our departure.
