Your tour begins with pickup from your Paris hotel by private luxury vehicle. With your private chauffeur, you’ll travel through the French countryside to Mont Saint Michel, about a 4-hour drive away.

On arrival, head straight inside the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey using your skip-the-line tickets to bypass the long lines into the medieval monument. Climb the cobbled lanes up through the village, continuing to explore the abbey with its many viewing terraces. Had a great tour, he was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging throughout both the long drive and the tour of St Michael itself. While a thorough trip from Paris, would still recommend - the castle was out of this world and the restaurant we went to for lunch was one of our favorites of the whole trip!

Fantastic experience for my family! This was my kids (12 and 15) first time to France. Mont St Michel was a favorite memory from my time studying abroad. Herve was exceptional and made it a once in a lifetime experience. He is unbelievably knowledgeable and has such a fascinating personal story. He was patient with extra stops for my daughter and took us to nice, clean rest stops. He knows all the secrets about navigating the island. We got to everything on the busiest day of the year! Burgers at the end were one of the best meals we had so far. TIP - bring a sweater, it's a bit cooler than Paris, we still needed sweaters in the August heat. Merci, Herve!

A magical day with an expert guide, from Paris to Normandie and back again

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the Mont St. Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we were expertly taken care of by our guide Fabris from start to finish. While smaller groups may opt to travel via train, or even stay overnight, we had a packed schedule in Paris that required a different mode of transportation. Booking this with a private van and tour was absolutely perfect for my family of 7, including 2 senior parents-in-law. In a way, it felt a lot more personal to drive across the French countryside, as we got to see parts of France that told a more vivid story of the country's history. There were ample stopovers so the 3-4 hour drive did not seem so tiring, and Fabris regaled us with tales, anecdotes, and stories that kept us informed and entertained. When we got to the Mont St. Michel, there were heaps of people, both locals and tourists, but the tour allowed us a skip-the-line pass which was immensely helpful to cater to a relatively large group with seniors in attendance. (Fair warning: There truly is a LOT of walking and stairs to climb, as the abbey was built against the actual formation of the rock. So, elevation!) Every nook and cranny of Mont St. Michel, even against a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd of people, really felt like you were taken out of time and thrust back into the Middle Ages. Again, Fabris was a true expert in sharing the history and knowledge behind each wall, pillar, and architecture we walked through. You are given some free time to roam and eat as well, before heading back to your drop-off point. All in all, we were so happy to have had this experience to make family memories in Normandie, and the service was everything promised upon booking. The price may seem steep compared to other packages online, but by head, we rounded up to about €250~ each person. Tallying up the expertise of our tour guide, the comfort of van travel, the skip-the-line pass, and the actual tour of the abbey/monastery/chapel/village, it was well worth the cost! Can't recommend this enough especially if you are unable to take a train to Mont St. Michel, and kudos to Fabris for his kind attention and patience whilst we navigated every picturesque scene, sight, and landmark of Mont St. Michel!

Our tour was offered by PARISMATICTOUR. The vehicle used was a Volkswagen Caravelle van that was spacious and comfortable. Our guide was Julian, who is specialized in art history and architecture. Traveling time flew by fast while we were engaged in conversation on diverse topics. Mt St Michael is a majestic destination and worth the effort. It is beauty, art, architecture, history, faith, and an escape that will provide leisure to your soul. Very much worth being able to enjoy it at your own pace. We also did a private 8 hr tour of the Palace of Versailles that was magical and regret not getting a private tour of the Louvre Museum. We were satisfied with our private tour provided by PARISMATICTOUR and recommend it without reservation.

Perfect day trip to Mont St Michel!

Our family of 5 had a perfect day trip to Mont St Michel! Our driver, Philippe, was fabulous! He was wonderful at pointing out landmarks and sharing interesting facts about France. We were able to skip the lines and see the best parts of the abbey. We learned so much. After exploring and taking many photos, we were able to nap on the long ride back to Paris. I would highly recommend this outing! It was a magical, unforgettable day!

Over priced. Our driver drove like it was a race to get there as fast as possible often times going way above the speed limit and weaving in and out of traffic. When we got there it was a sprint to the top of the mountain and then our driver (I will not call him a guide) said he was going back to the car to nap. Don’t be fooled. There is no private tour or “personalization of the tour”. There are better cheaper options out there. Save your money on this one.

What a beautiful trip! This was my mother’s bucket list pick. Done, checked off! A once in a lifetime opportunity for those of us that live in the U.S. . We had a wonderful tour guide and driver. Philip is the best! He is funny, calm, accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was all perfect! The drive took about 3 hours from Paris. We stopped half way to stretch and grab a quick bite. When we arrived, we walked about 100 feet to the tram that takes you on the bridge to Mt. St Michel. The village is beautiful with many shops and cafes. It took 400 plus steps to get to the top. If you have mobility issues, this is not a place for you. The village is do-able but not the walk up to the monastery. Thank you Philip! You made it very enjoyable! Merci beaucoup!

A Remarkable Tour

Unknowingly, we booked our tour on a Sunday when the Monastery was marking the anniversary of its first dedication. As such, the Roman Catholic mass at the Abbey was presided by the Bishop of Pontoise, making our visit extra special. Our guide and driver Thomas was very knowledgeable and accommodating, and had a great sense of humor. Himself well-traveled, he had many topics of conversation he could cover. The round-trip of 8 hours on the road were easy and relaxing. This tour is definitely a less stressful way to visit Mont Saint Michel in one day.

Beautiful Sunny fall day on Mont St Michel

Beautiful sunny afternoon at Mont St Michel. It was rainy when we left Paris in the very comfortable van. By the time we got to the coast the sun was out. Guide was extremely nice and talked in depth about the different parts of the island as well as the history of the area. Was nice having time for selves on the streets and having guide explain in depth the areas of the cathedral.

We went as a group of 7 with Fred our guide through Prismatic tours. He did a wonderful job delivering excellent service. We travelled very comfortably in a Mercedes vehicle in our 4 hour drive (each way) to Mont St Michael. Fred clearly has done this tour many times before, was very knowledgeable about all the history not only of the abbey, but also of France. He is able to tailor the level of detail to what the group wants (don't hesitate to ask him for more or less info depending on what you and your group prefer). Overall we had a great time! Would recommend.
