Wonderfully informative & engaging
Alice gave us such a fun and engaging tour of Le Mont, we learned so much, she is a natural story teller. She knew all the perfect spots to pause to learn about some of the history of this beautiful place and took care to find shade as it was a particularly hot and sunny day. Merci beaucoup!

Breathtaking.....Dream come True
All I can say is breathtaking!!!! I have waited years to see D-Day beaches and the American cemetary and this fulfilled my dreams in spades! A large part of this incredible experience was because of our tour guide, Lawrence. He is a gem and Viator should be proud that he is working with them. I learned more about WW II and D-Day from Lawence then I ever did in school.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Viator and thank you Lawrence for an unforgettable experiece!!!!

One of the best tours we have experienced
We have been on many Viator tours and this was one of the best. We not only saw the beaches and the bunkers, but David, our tour guide, made the American experience so much more impactful through his detailed accounts of the invasion and his stories about the heroism and sacrifices of the soldiers who fought to gain a foothold in their efforts to liberate Normandy. We also went to another Normandy beach tour, but this one was more engaging and better presented.

Hervé is a great guide to have at Mont Saint-Michel
This was definitely worth the time and money!! My guide/driver was Hervé and I would 100% recommend him to anyone. He is very knowledgeable and we had great conversations!! Since this was a solo trip and we spent approx 13 hours together, it was so good to have someone to speak with.
I know he also does other tours. I imagine if you are fortunate to have him as a guide for anything in Paris, you would be lucky. Also, he speaks 6 languages. Amazing!! His background is so diverse so the conversations we had were varied and we laughed quite a bit!!

Excellent!
The tour and the tour guide were excellent, the kids really enjoyed it especially the quicksand. Would highly recommend.
Tips: Bring a spare change of shorts or wear swimming trunks in case you get wet while trying out the quick sand. Bring a small snack/drink/beer for when you stop on the little island; tombiline. Follow the other advice in terms of clothing and equipment as detailed on the website. Enjoy!

We had an excellent tour...
We had an excellent tour of Mont Saint-Michel with Cecille. She was very knowledgeable and paced the tour to our needs. We would not have understood the history and details of the different rooms and areas in the Abbey without the insights of our guide. She also provided an excellent recommendation for dinner on the island.

Private Guided Tour of WW2 Normandy Drop Zone and Beach
Highly recommended; great value. This is not simply a casual rushed ride through the dunes of the beaches, but instead an experience for those who want to delve seriously into an important component of the complex events of June 6th, 1944. The tour focused on the U. S. airborne landings in the region between the Norman village of Sainte-Mère-Église, and wound up at Utah Beach. Our two guides (we hired two jeeps) were cordial, helpful and – most importantly – knowledgeable. We were a party of six – four adults and two children, and all of us considered this jeep tour a highlight of our visit to France, which included time in Paris as well as Normandy.

Great fun
The heavens opened while we were out on the sands so we weee wet through but you get wet and sandy anyway so it didn’t matter. Our guide was informative and friendly and the experience was brilliant. Definitely worth doing. There is a lot of walking and it feels like a workout but so fun! Bring waterproofs!

Gorgeous monument with an exceptional guide, Anne-Isabelle
Our tour guide, Anne-Isabelle was phenomenal! We enjoyed the history, lore and stories she had about Mont-Saint Michel. The passion and care she has for the site really shined through and added color and texture to an already breathtaking location. She was fun, charismatic, and truly cared about our experience. She was also incredibly patient with us and the quantity of photos we wanted to take. If we could go back and do it all again, we’d choose her again and again.
If you’re visiting in peak season and planning to take the shuttle to be at the meeting point for this tour, budget more time than you think you need. We did the 30 minute walk both ways because we heard the lines for the shuttle were 50+ minutes. Thankfully it was a breezy day and the walk was really enjoyable.
Completely separate and outside the control of the tour company, we visited at a time when Mont St Michel was incorporating art installations (Summer 2025). Maybe in an effort to attract more tourism. Personally, I wish the art wouldn’t have been there and I wish I could write to Mont St Michel to talk about how it detracted from the experience. The Abbey had a large moon blocking the view of what would’ve been an iconic photo moment, the cloister which should be a tranquil place for contemplation had a disco ball, and the refectory had a walk over water art installation that was closed for safety.
