When in Bayeux, don’t miss a chance to explore Mont Saint- Michel and its layers of history. This small, intimate group tour takes you there hassle-free, including round-trip transfers from Bayeux in an air-conditioned minivan for comfort.
Meet your driver/guide at your hotel, then settle in for the scenic drive. Once in Mont Saint-Michel, you’ll have panoramic views of the Normandy coastline. You will also have time to learn about the Benedictine abbey, which is UNESCO listed, from your guide.
Before being transferred back to Bayeux, you’ll have free time to explore the museum and wander through the town itself, taking photos of the traditional architecture and building materials.

This is a very interesting and historic site. The medieval architecture is outstanding. My wife made the entire walk to the top and I stayed behind due to the difficulty of the climb. We are 75 and 78 so we have to be careful to not exceed our physical capability. She thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the guide was excellent.

Maton was great in explaining so much of this beautiful missionary! She was always ensuring we were comfortable in walking up the many stairs. She guided us through the lines with ease and all while keeping her cool. We learned a lot and greatly appreciated the entire event. I will recommend it to everyone.

It’s a long drive from Bayeux. Our driver was quite the tail-gater. I had to look away several times as we were so close to rear ending the vehicle in front of us. It was nerve wracking! She was knowledgeable about Mont Saint Michelle but wasn’t able to answer questions about things we were seeing along the way.

The Mont St Michel full day tour was special. The weather was beautiful. The abbey is so majestic. Margot was very knowkedgeable.

The tour of Mont Saint-Michel was a wonderful experience. Our guide, David, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. During the drive from Bayeux to the Abbey, David provided us with very useful background information, which he built upon during the tour of the various aspects of Mont Saint-Michel. There is a lot of walking on this tour, with many steps. David was mindful of the different capabilities of people in our tour and customized aspects of his presentations as appropriate. We cannot say enough good things about this tour or our guide. We would recommend this to anyone -- and we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that David was going to be the guide scheduled for our tour of D-Day sites the next day!

Loved our guide Gwendahl. He did such a good job covering the centuries of history at Mont Saint Michel in a succinct, comprehensible and amusing way. During our tour of the Mont, he pointed out important and sometimes easy to miss details, deepening our understanding and making our experience that much richer. Highly recommend!

Our tour of the Abbey was outstanding. Our guide, Eliset, was so knowledgeable about the facility and the historical significance of the facility that made our tour so fun and informative. We can't write enough good things about our wonderful day! We would highly recommend this tour and guide to everyone.

The tour from Bayeux was worth it for sure just for the convenience of getting to and from Mont St Michel. Although our tour guide wasn’t fluent in English, she did a great job getting the message across for the points she wanted to hit. That being said, the van didn’t have adequate Air Conditioning and I wish we had the option of just doing our own thing once we got to the location. We were uninterested in much of the tour that was given and would have rather had the time to explore ourselves.

As this is a guided group tour, the visit includes commentary and guidance from our guide to help guests discover the history and highlights of Mont Saint-Michel. For visitors who prefer complete flexibility, we also offer a shuttle service option without guided touring.
Additionally, guests are always welcome to inform the guide if they would prefer not to follow the guided visit and instead spend more time exploring on their own, provided they return to the agreed meeting point and departure time.

This tour to Mont-Saint-Michel was a wonderful experience. The guide was knowledgeable, organized, and shared fascinating history and stories throughout the day. Mont-Saint-Michel itself was absolutely stunning, with incredible views and unique architecture. The tour was well paced and informative without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend.

This tour left from Bayeux, so it was about a 1.5hr drive thru beautiful Normandy. We had a small group (5). Elise was a great guide and very knowledgeable. I have some mobility issues and knew I would struggle with the climbing. Elise was so thoughtful about my needs. In the end I sent her and the rest of the group ahead. I did what I could but I was very pleased with this tour.

This was a very good day tour from Bayeux. Prompt pickup and drop off, and "V" provided great information at the Abbey. Although other reviews talked about how "fun" the drive to and from was, due to the driver/guide, "V" was quiet other than a few facts here and there. A little more chatting might have been nice, but on the way back I loved the silence! "V" is a great driver, and such a great guide in the abbey!

We were happy to be picked up in Bayeux and driven to Mont Saint-Michel. My husband was happy to be there during low tide and get to walk out on the muddy clay surrounding the island. The village and Abby were as impressive as we’d hoped. Our guide, Vi, was full of knowledge and stories than enriched the experience. I enjoyed the scale models of the Mont. Keep in mind the lines for the bus back to the parking lot are long, so we had to wait for another bus, and that made us a little late on our departure.

“V” was a great guide.. took us from room to room in every area with detailed explanations, history, and facts about SM.. timely pickup and drop off (8:00-430) and a good safe driver. This tour leaves from bayeux, not Paris.. right V? Ha ha
Please note since you’re exploring all the abbey you will be going up steps, appx 300 in total.. it is doable but elderly, those with knee or back problems should be aware

Mont Saint Michel tour was very well arranged. We were lucky to have the same guide, Manon, for the tour! The entire tour was indeed an unique experience in the medieval charm of the island and the abbey. We got enough free time to explore the area & grab lunch on the island before returning.
