Special addition to Normandie trip
This was a great way to see Omaha beach sites, feels very special and immersive. The host was fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable and we felt this was the best part of our trip to Normandy.

Exceptional
When the subject is D-Day you can read books and watch movies but the experience of being where such bravery and sacrifice occurred is overwhelming. Regis, our knowledgeable guide, was a wealth of information and details well beyond the battle. A visit to Normandy and Omaha Beach confirms beyond argument that freedom is not free.

Excellent tour and wonderful guide. Educational and informative. We got to see many different areas of the D day invasion, never really knew how vast the area was. Guide was great not only in his explanations of things but he was also concerned about our safety and comfort. Lunch experience was also very good, cider tasting nothing special.

If you want to get as...
If you want to get as close to the "action" as possible, this small group is the way to go. Although it is a long drive from Paris (3 hours each way), the tour was wonderful. We saw Omaha Beach, had a great lunch, went to the cemetery, and did some apple cider tasting. Great tour!

  • Most Omaha Beach tours visit WWII cemeteries and memorials, so it’s important to dress and act respectfully.

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes to explore the battle ruins and beaches.

  • Some tours are wheelchair accessible, but it’s best to check in advance with your tour operator.

  • You don’t need Omaha Beach tickets as the beach is public; however, tickets are required to visit the museum.

  • If time is of the essence, prioritize the beach and cemetery before visiting the museum.
