He also helped coordinate “family member” treatment for us at the American Cemetery, where my great uncle is buried. Comfortable travel in a clean, Mercedes minibus. It was an amazing experience. The three guides were very friendly and very knowledgeable about D-Day in detail. They speak English fluently. You can ask them anything you want—they know everything. They guide you through the different locations where the D-Day landings took place.You have enough time to explore. You get a great overview of that day and learn that the only thing war can bring is absolute disaster.

Absolutely terrific from start to finish. Emilie, who was my contact in setting up the trip, was great with good communication. V, our guide, was equally wonderful. She was really well-prepared with a book of visual aids that really added to the information presented. En route to Pont du Hoc, she laid out the war prior to D-Day, with the resistance and the Vichy government.
