Violaine was an excellent guide! Very sweet, very knowledgeable, and engaging. I really appreciated the pictures and background for the sites we were visiting. We visited 3 different places and returned to one a second time to get a better view of the beach.
Friendly, on time, knowledgeable and the pictures added a lot. Our guide also paid attention to everyone’s needs.
The tour was very well done. Margo is very knowledgeable and gave us time to really be able to see the area. She answered all our questions and gave good insights to the battle.
Stephane who took us talked almost all the way around, a great deal of information was given out to us. He also had us all introduce ourselves to each other, which made more of an interesting trip as we chat amongst ourselves every now and then.We also started at the American cemetery as he said it gets very busy later on. All in all a very good afternoon.

I selected this tour from Viator due to its high reviews. I was not disappointed. Cohenin (Cory) is knowledgeable and allowed us time for questions, yet plenty of time to view the sites. I appreciated the balance. I highly recommend this half day afternoon tour!
We had the best afternoon. Our guide, Wally, was extremely knowledgeable and reverent about everything that happened on D-Day. He knew what to point out and where the best views were, so we didn't miss a thing.

Absolutely the best part of our trip to France! Pauline was wonderful...easy to understand in English, full of broad knowledge about Normandy, as well as detailed, specific stories of heroes in the conflict. Our drive was very comfortable, and she allotted just the right amount of time at each stop to explore on our own. Would recommend this tour to anyone! 10/10
Our tour guide was so flexible, personal and knowledgeable. He made this learning experience enjoyable, and we learned so much. Having a small group truly made this tour a great experience. Our guide, Aidan answered all of our questions and gave us time to explore the sites a little as well. I would recommend this tour without hesitation.
Helene was helpful and knowledgeable- we saw and learned a lot! The tour bus picks you up at the train station and you get to see all the important sights at Omaha Beach as well as the American Memorial Cemetery
Rose was the best! She was the perfect guide for our family - spanning ages 13 to 85! She knew all of the special spots and shared just the right amount of information.
Our tour guide, Gwen/Gwin, mentioned that the tour would not be political and that we would not have to worry about taking a test or exam after the tour. We got through the expedition/experience somewhat politically charged and at every stop, Gwen quizzed us to make sure we remembered his lecture. The coverage and breadth of information was profound, the sacrifices of the protagonists were sure, and the antagonists got what they deserved, according to the tide of battle. To the victors went the spoils.
The whole classroom experience was set to real life settings and was narrated with important documents provided by the tour guide. Many conflicts were re-enacted, the compositions of the land and sea were molded to form historical precedents. Memorials and dedications abounded and were visited.
In conclusion, Gwen portrayed a memorable and very noteworthy presentation that we will not soon forget (those of us that were riveted and paying attention).
Comments and suggestions:
Navigating to the meetup point and convening with the tour guide was unknown and tenuous at first. After Gwen presented a tour document and verified our identities, we were led to the rest of the tour group that was down the street.
A memorial and cemetery for fallen service members was experienced in timely fashion. While the afternoon was still bright, the day was getting late, and by 5:00pm the administrators of the memorial started to clear out the visitors.
In one of the tour stops we experienced the summertime and warm conditions. We had to jump over a medium-sized puddle to simulate a beach/sandy landing. Further down the way, a more modest puddle was crossed and without much complaint.
In another tour stop, there were posted signs and documents that were skipped over due to time constraints. We managed to photograph all of the posted documents so we could read them later.
We loved the tour and Margo was great and very knowledgeable. It was the perfect amount of time for our family. We would do it again.
Fantastic tour of Omaha Beach, American Cemetery, & Pointe du Hoc. Manon, our guide, provided in depth historical data to give us a clear understanding of D Day and the tremendous sacrifices of the brave men who stormed the beaches. She did further research of my grandfather who died on Omaha Beach and set up a private tour at the cemetery. I am eternally grateful to her for helping me gain a better understanding of his bravery & sacrifice. Thank you Manon!

Our guide gave us an extremely personalized tour through the places of Normandy Beach. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and provided us with a fantastic experience.
We had a wonderful experience on our tour. Our guide Pauline was a wealth of knowledge and extremely kind and accommodating. Everything was so organized and seamless. We learned so much and she welcomed any questions along the way. She even stopped at a grocery for us to grab some food for the train on our way home.
Very nice tour. Margo was knowledgeable and very nice. Van was a bit dated with the A/C not reaching the back and having the windows open made it hard to hear her but other than that it was ok.
Lucy was an amazing tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the D-Day events and history leading up to the landing. She provided history on the towns we drove through and the surrounding area. I can’t recommend enough. Thanks Lucy!

Loved the entire experience and our tour guide was great! I believe his name was David, who had tons of information about the region and the events of D-Day. It was amazing to hear the story of the operation and also the history of the Normandy region. It was also amazing to see the Flag Ceremony they had at the American Cemetery and Memorial. Overall, worth it as an American to visit such a historic event in our History and the sacrifices that were made.
The half day tour included 3 stops and they were incredible. Our tour guide, Lucy, not only had beautiful, long fingernails and could park on a dime, but she was so pleasant and knowledgeable!! We really enjoyed her presentation (it was like she had years of theatrical training 😉)! Seriously, she was a sweetheart! The sights were AMAZING!!! The tour gave us a new level of appreciation for what took place here all those years ago. Thank you to all the soldiers.
We should have known, but there didn't feel like much to see. We were pretty bored. But I don’t blame our guide. What is there really to jazz up Normandie? Beaches, cemetery, lots of death and sadness. Not much that can be done.
Very interesting and educational your with detailed military facts. The guide was entertaining and engaging. The subject matter is not suitable for younger kids.
