Informative and emotional

Don_H, Apr 2026
Our guide, Thierry, was very knowledgeable. He added a lot to the tour with his detailed stories about some of the men who fought in these battles, and the tactics and strategies of the combatants and their commanders. He used pictures and maps of the action in his presentation. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be ready for a few close quarters and steps in the bunkers. Also be ready to stand as your tour guide details what happened in these areas in 1944. Come with your questions. Our guide time the ending to be at the EOD taps and flag lowering.

Francois was the best...

Lucas and the D-Day Experience

kathy_s, May 2024
Lucas was an amazing guide. His ability to give the day a personal touch on both his side and ours was so important. His passion for the information and events portrayed in the tour was quite evident. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly! A thoroughly experience of a lifetime! Thank you Lucas - you were amazing! Kathy and Barry

Don't miss this tour!

Steve_E, May 2024
Our guide, Julie was wonderful! She spoke excellent English so we had no trouble understanding her. She has a fun and energetic personality. She really knows her stuff! My husband is a WWII buff but he learned a lot that isn't well known in the U.S. Our tour capped off with the flag ceremony at the American Cemetery where they played taps. That was very moving! Anyone who takes this tour will not be disappointed.

Amazing experience!

Kathleen_C, Mar 2024
I highly recommend this tour. I was concerned about not having enough time at certain spots but the time spent was just enough. I loved being able to see a lot of places. Pointe du hoc was very memorable as well and amazing to see the scars still on the land and everything left as it was. Our tour guide was Alex and he was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much with him! He also got us to the American Cemetery in time for taps and the lowering of the flag. It was extremely moving and an experience I’ll never forget. Getting on the train was very easy and Alex was ready and waiting for us at the station. Everything went smoothly! An incredible day and experience!

Despite terrible weather,...

Susan_H, Mar 2024
Despite terrible weather, the sights we saw were beautiful and moving. James, our tour guide, was considerate, patient and a good driver. For the price, I expected a much more informative tour experience. Other tour guides stayed with their groups and explained the monuments in detail, this tour provided 10 minutes or so of information and then let you explore on your own. We were often asked if we had questions but when you are on a tour to learn about history you may not know what your questions are if you aren’t provided enough information/discussion. There is a lot of time in the van between sites and the van was clean and new, with good umbrellas available. However, again, very little information provided while driving between locations. The place that the tour chose for lunch was extremely touristy (located at one of the stops) and the food was pretty terrible. If I were to do it again, I would look for a tour that provided more information, a less touristy lunch spot, and was more engaging.

Must See if you’re in France!!

Scott_H, Mar 2024
Great experience! Nice small group of just 8 people so it was easy to gather around the guide to hear the history and see all the really informative maps and photos of the locations. We had ample time at each location, would have been nice to spend an extra 15 minutes at Utah Beach since we were so early for our return train back to Paris. Round trip from Paris is 16 hours so it’s truly a full day but well worth the journey. We downloaded and watched “Saving Private Ryan” movie on the way back to Paris, very fitting and had a different perspective and further appreciation for the sacrifices the Allies made on D Day after spending the day in Normandy and learning so much more about the events that day. 5 Stars !!

Do not miss this D Day Tour

Bruce_K, Feb 2024
Ive wanted to visit the D Day sites since I was a kid 50 years ago. I finally did it yesterday which was one of the most memorable days of my life. Eric is amazing with his knowledge of the history of the people and events that took place.

Sophie made our trip...

Joan_M, Oct 2023
Sophie made our trip memorable with her passion for the places and fallen soldiers. It touched our souls.

Incredible experience

Kris_H, Oct 2023
This tour is incredible…from the beaches, museums, and cemetery, you can truly get a sense of what actually happened to all of these soldiers.

WW Two Nerd Hugh Applause!

Debra_C, Oct 2023
Our guide Alex was brilliant. His breath of knowledge was beyond any historian ! His passion for this period was the highlight of this trip!

Great tour.

Donald_E, Oct 2023
Loved seeing the actual beaches and Point du Hoc. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide (Elisa). The only drawback was that our train booking from Paris was a later train causing us to miss part of the tour. We should have been booked on an earlier train. The guide thought we were.

Fantastic tour

Kandy_S, Sep 2023
Most memorable: taps at the American cemetery, personal insights from our guide, Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, the churches

Informative and enlightening

david_l, Sep 2023
Fantastic tour. We learned a lot of specific details of the operation that made you appreciate the shear magnitude D-Day. Ending at US Cemetery showed you the ultimate cost.

A must-do experience! Mary Ellen was great!

Jessica_K, Sep 2023
A must-do when traveling to France. We did this tour during a 5 day trip to Paris although a long day- totally worth it! Mary Ellen was our very pleasant tour guide, she was able to review the history of the events from the Battle of Normandy and the US portion of D-Day invasion. Link Paris coordinated our train tickets from/to Paris which was convenient and offered piece of mind as we were traveling from US and unfamiliar with train routes. Mary Ellen met us at the bus stop to begin our tour. She was animated and expressive and very knowledgeable. A pleasure to spend the day with. Would definitely recommend!

D-day trip

Alan_D, Oct 2022
Brad , our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. He showed us around and gave us the great stories that made it come alive. He went the extra mile to make us happy! Very evocative day at the beaches and cemetery. Great trip and definitely worth it.

Response from Host, Oct 2022

Thank you Alan!

Matthew was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation of the events of D-Day and World War II in general. He mixed in several well-timed and funny jokes as well. We very much enjoyed the experience!

Response from Host, Jul 2022

Thank you!

Awesome Experience!

Katheryn_C, Feb 2020
This tour was phenomenal! There were 7 people plus the guide, which made it an intimate setting to learn and discuss. Rosalie was very knowledgeable and personable. She answered all of our questions we’ll and honestly. The museum tour was really neat. However, I wish we had more time there! Point du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American cemetery are certainly sites I will never forget. I loved learning about WWII, D Day, and American involvement from a French history perspective. I recommend this tour to anyone!

Missed meeting point in Caen.

Angel1981, Feb 2020
The tour and the guide were great and very entertaining. Unfortunately, the organization was not. The gave me train tickets for a train that did not arrive on time so I missed the meeting point in Caen. When I contacted them the solution was to take a cab to the Memorial, which I had to take care of myself.

Local and knowledgeable tour guide

Tasha_W, Feb 2020
Other than our train arriving late and being left at the train station causing us to scramble to find a ride to the museum, the day was good. Due to low volume, we received a highly personalized tour and got a good glimpse of what transpired over that fateful day and subsequent weeks in WWII. The tour guide was local to the area and was able to provide a good perspective on how D-Day impacted the local communities.

Excellent Tour of Normandy

Ian_H, Aug 2019
Everything about the trip was great! Sights to see, lunch, museum, Omaha and Utah beaches, all well done. And our tour guide, Victoria, was FANTASTIC!!!!

Wow - A must

Roger_A, Jun 2019
What a great experience. Our tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, the timing of site visits was perfect. The lunch at the museum was surprisingly delicious! The movie experience was a great ending. We left with a new found appreciation for history! A must visit and very worthwhile - Thank you
