Great experience

Great experience with True South. Our flight didn’t proceed due to weather and was rescheduled a few days later. We then Needed to change it again to fit in with the rest of our plans. They kept us informed and provided a shuttle to take us to the office. Our pilot Tanmay was brilliant. He was polite, friendly, provided great explanations during the flight and forewarned us when turbulence was expected and why. He also provided clear instructions on drop off and pickup. Great experience.

Stunning natural beauty

Absolutely magnificent. Boat is the closest (from what I could find) to being near the waterfall which was incredible. Definitely got wet (that was our choice to be at the front and get sprayed). Captain lets you know. Outdoor uncovered areas upstairs and downstairs, indoor heated seating areas, coffee, tea & biscuits provided. Running commentary from Roger however it was a little hard to hear most times. We saw some seals also. Doesn’t matter which part of the boat you’re in, they move the boat so everyone has opportunity to see regardless of where you’re seated. Was not full either which was great! Everyone was up and moving around to see different vantage points. Mother Nature at its finest! Pure & untouched beauty. Hubby wasn’t a fan of going but he and the kids loved it.

My day was amazing!! Our driver/guide Shelley was on time with picking me up and was very informative about our schedule and stops we would be making. Our time at Hobbiton was fabulous. The guide was very enjoyable and we had fun with some movie trivia. The lunch stop had a lovely setup and many options to choose from. Waitomo caves were astounding. The caves were beautiful and I wish I could have taken pictures during that part of the tour. Getting into the boat to see the glow worms was mesmerizing. I made sure not to open my mouth while looking up! All in all had an amazing time and hope to come back and experience it all again with my family.

Absolutely incredible. I was contemplating bailing out because I don’t do well on fast rides etc but this was exhilarating. My kids and hubby also loved it (kids aged 8, 11, 13). Ryan was our driver. This was an amazing Tour! If you are a fan of the movies or books, this is a must see if you are ever in New Zealand. The tour guides at hobbiton were friendly, nice and told the best stories. They were always available to help with perfect photo opportunities. Our driver Alessandro was AMAZING! I wasn’t looking forward to the two hour ride but his stories made the drive there and back so much more pleasant. He was so nice, funny and entertaining. I would love to take a tour with him again!

The tour has many stops to stretch the legs, use restrooms, and see the sights on the way to Milford Sound. Our driver and narrator, Ollie, was great…very knowledgeable on the sights, witty personality, and took great care of us. Highly recommend!!

Once at the cave the instructions were clear and concise and what to expect was well explained. Phenomenal-an incredible experience. We picked the Milford Sound twin hull, aluminium 3 level boat (described by my husband). We arrived early, for lots of reasons and the very early start did not disappoint. This was a once in a lifetime dream. I can’t begin to describe how amazing Milford Sound was - we loved the whole adventure!! Checkin experience excellent! Staff on the boat & captain were just fabulous & relaxed! Thank you heaps.
