What are people saying about Medellín

An experience not to be missed
An awe inspiring guided tour through what were two of the toughest neighbourhoods in Medellin which have now gone through such transformation. All of us rated this as one of our most memorable tours. Blow Rasta who was brought up in one of the neighbourhoods during its troubling times recounted his first hand experiences and brought the tour to life. Thank you !

An absolute must do!
This tour was the best decision we made during our visit to Medellin. It was absolutely incredible. Our tour guides, Mariana and Diana, were amazing. We were picked up at our hotel and drove to the meeting point. From there, we traveled for about an hour to our first stop were we had breakfast. Afterwards, we went to El Peñon de Guatapé where we were given several options. We decided to go to the top and enjoy the views. Our next stop was the town of Guatapé where we had lunch and we visited the town. This town is one of the most colorful and beautiful places I’ve ever visited. We were given enough time to explore the town by ourselves and when we met again we were driven to our next activity, a boat tour. The first part of the boat tour was more informative about the lake and the surrounding area and the second part was more about enjoying ourselves. The boat captain, Andres, played some music for us and we got to dance on our way back. The last stop was the town of El Alto del Chocho where we got to feed and interact with llamas. The drive back to Medellin was a little more than an hour. A few tips for travelers: this is a day long tour so you will end up tired, wear comfortable shoes and clothes, we did this in July and even though the weather was great, on the boat it can get chilly so bring a sweater. The tour guides will provide you with a bottle of water but I suggest you bring another one for the first part of the tour if you plan on climbing to the top of the peñón. Also, you won’t eat breakfast until around 9:30 so bring a snack if you think you might get hungry. Both breakfast and lunch were great, they offered several options. Honesty this tour is pretty cheap for all the activities that includes. We had a wonderful time and I cannot recommend it enough.

Family friendly, great first impression of vibrant city
We loved our experience with Tomás! This was our first activity in Medellin. I would highly recommend it! It gave us a great orientation of the city. We were impressed with the bike infrastructure, the green scenery, and our guide’s knowledge. We have three kids (14, 12 and 10). Tomás was very attentive to them - helping with an emergency restroom stop, pointing out interesting activity, and information to the kids, and speaking in slow clear Spanish, so our kids could practice their Spanish and understand.

Great Historical tour
Christian was very knowledgeable and patient throughout the whole tour. He was very clear in explaining the history of Comuna 13 and navigating the tour. He took us from the top to the bottom which was such an excellent idea. I would definitely recommend him to others.
