Top Medellín Coffee & Tea Tours

We had such a great experience on this coffee tour! We were picked up close to our Airbnb by a very friendly representative who even gave us a little tour and shared information about the area as we made our way out to the coffee region. Once we arrived at the plantation, we had the option of heading up the hill on horseback or walking. Since it was such a nice, brisk morning, we decided to walk and really enjoyed it. We were welcomed with a drink and then divided into English- and Spanish-speaking groups. I joined the English group, which was small and intimate, and we were lucky enough to have the owner himself lead our experience. His knowledge and passion for coffee were incredible. He explained both traditional and modern methods of coffee production and walked us through the entire process. We even went out and picked coffee cherries ourselves, learning how to tell when they are ripe—and discovering that the fruit is actually sweet when you first open it! We learned about the different methods of drying and roasting the beans and ultimately got to see the entire journey from picking the coffee to brewing and drinking it. As an unexpected bonus, they also grow sugarcane on the property, so we got to see how it is processed and cooked down into traditional Colombian panela. We were able to taste it fresh and even take some with us, which was a really nice touch. The experience finished with an awesome lunch, plenty of coffee, and all of us happily caffeinated! It was educational, interactive, relaxed, and genuinely fun from beginning to end. If you’re visiting the Medellín area and want to understand Colombian coffee beyond simply drinking it, this is a definite must-do experience.

We had a wonderful time with Laura who was extremly helpful and friendly and very patient with our mixed Spanish/English speaking group, giving explanations in both languages. The coffee farm and the surrounding area is very scenic and the coffee is very tasty, we learned a lot!

I had a fantastic time on this bike tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Esteban. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and kept the pace comfortable for everyone while sharing great local history and stories along the way. You can tell he really cares about giving riders a memorable experience. Everything was well-organized, safe, and fun from start to finish. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Esteban to anyone visiting the area!

Samuel was an excellent tour guide through the coffee farm and gave us a wonderful history of coffee and all there is know about selecting a good one. We wrapped up the day with horseback riding tour with Don Jorge. These people work so hard to show us a great time in Colombia!

Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a side of Colombia that many tourists may not see. Our tour guide Erika was wonderful, funny and very knowledgeable. She made sure to make us feel comfortable and we got to see and experience so much. Definitely a highlight and not to be missed.

Isa was an amazing guide. She created an informative, engaging, and fun atmosphere throughout the experience. She was also incredibly accommodating to my 75-year-old mom, making sure she was comfortable and able to fully enjoy the tour. We learned so much about coffee! From its cultivation and processing to the brewing methods that bring out its unique flavors. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time in nature while still being close to the city, which made for a relaxing and memorable experience. Isa’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for coffee AND people, made the tour both educational and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning more about coffee, exploring a beautiful setting near Medellin, and spending time with a fantastic guide.

Absolutely amazing experience! Ericka was incredible from start to finish — so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire tour so much fun. The food was delicious at every stop, but honestly, she was what made the experience truly special. We left completely full and already talking about coming back to try more tours. Definitely come hungry because there is plenty of amazing food! Highly recommend!

Terrific tour! Relaxed pace and customized experience. Daniel was our tour guide and he was fabulous and entertaining! He put the sites and communities into historic perspective. He tailored the stories based on our interests. From the rise of modern day Medellin to the local lore around Parroquia La Veracruz, we were thoroughly entertained.
