Guatavita and Zipaquirá were great! Thank you Rodrigo!

We absolutely loved our day trip to Guatavita and Zipaquira! Hernan and Rodrigo were extremely accommodating in arranging pickup and were communicative and punctual picking us up at our hotel even though it wasn’t on the original list of pickup options. Far more importantly, Rodrigo is a truly impressive individual as an historian, a story teller and even a philosopher. I greatly enjoyed discussing topics ranging across current politics, Spanish and Colombian history, Christian traditions, art, and more. He answered every question thoroughly and intelligently and we engaged in some very rewarding conversation about many topics. As for the tour itself, Guatavita was spectacular, especially enriched by the stories Rodrigo shared about its history. It was a little more walking and hills than we were aware of, but it was worth the effort. Truly beautiful. The cathedral at zipaquira was also very compelling, and was made much more so by Rodrigo’s very informative narration of the history behind the place and the art and tradition it symbolizes. It exceeded my expectations many times over. Everything taken together, I would 100% recommend this tour with all my heart.

Great experience as solo traveler

Booked round trip airport transfer. Both drivers were very punctual, friendly, and professional. As a female solo traveler I was quite anxious flying into Bogota for the first time by myself. So having someone there already definitely helped. Knowing a little bit of Spanish will help. Otherwise Google Translate will suffice.

Fantastic Day!

I had a fantastic tour with Daniel today. I decided to skip Montserrat so I could spend more time exploring the city. We visited the Mercado and tried many unique fruits I have never heard nor had the opportunity to try. We had a great lunch at a local restaurant too. Daniel has an incredible depth of knowledge about Colombia's history and culture. Our visit to the Museo del Oro was a standout—he has a gift for breaking down complex exhibits so clearly that it ended up being the best museum experience I’ve ever had, giving me a whole new appreciation for the Colombian indigenous and how the gold artifacts represented their beliefs. Afterward, we wandered through La Candelaria, taking in a great mix of historic highlights and some really cool, off-the-beaten-path spots. Highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Day Trip to Gutavita and Zipaquira

Carlos is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Gutavita and Zipaquirá. It was fascinating to learn about the Muiscas, the El Dorado, the lagoon and the Salt Catheral. The views were breathtaking!! Victor our driver gets us to each destination safely despite the crazy Bogota traffic and unpaved mountain roads. It was not an easy task to say the very least! Just a disclaimer. The ride can be long depending on where you stand on the pick up queue. We were the second one to be picked up and the second to last to be dropped off. So the total time inside the van just for this process was around two and a half hours besides the drive to the destinations. With that said. It really depends on your mindset. We thought of it as a driving tour around the city. Seeing different areas outside of our hotel. Overall, a really great tour. Met a lot of interesting tour mates from different corners of the world. We would recommend this tour. You will get so much out of it. Thank you Carlos and Victor!!

A comprehensive small group tour that feels like exploring the city with friends. Perfect for one day in Bogota.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Brian Steven is an amazing guide, and you get to see so much! The cable car up to Monserrate is fun and you get a good amount of time to look around the sanctuary and shop the little market. The funicular down is interesting too. The walking tour is comprehensive, visiting the exterior of Bolivar’s house, the streets of La Candelaria, a coffee shop, several fun squares, the underrated Botero Museum, the Plaza Bolivar, and the Gold Museum as well as the many fun streets in between. They even recommended and helped us get delicious ajiaco at a small restaurant at the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Cultural Center. Most importantly, the tour guide Brian Steven is amazing. He is so incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and he speaks excellent English. He’s very curious and we had some great conversations. A major perk is that the tour is small, just me and my partner, and it ended up feeling more like we were just exploring the city with friends than taking an official tour. I cannot recommend Brian Steven enough, he is awesome. Sure, some people might want more time at some of these sites, and more shopping time. But I actually think you spend a good amount of time at most of these areas. We never felt rushed and felt we saw everything at the sanctuary and the museums. Brian Steven was always happy to let us take our time to shop and was helpful negotiating prices too. If you have limited time in Bogota and want to see as much as you can, this is the perfect tour and you’ll see more than you think. Very convenient pick up and drop off from hotel and just the BEST guide. Ask for Brian Steven, he’s the best!

Good day trip

Great day trip to salt cathedral. Our driver Brandon was great though he only spoke Spanish. So we both used translator app to get message across. He was very nice and took us around the town, stores and have flexibility on our spending time where we needed. Highly recommend Brandon. We are not religious but good to know more about the history of the salt mine, Zapaquira town and the cathedral itself dedicated to Jesus and Mary.

Can’t say enough good things about this experience! It was so much fun and a highlight of my entire Colombia trip! Nick was great and the master jewelers were also great! You get to design your own ring, pick your own emerald and build it from scraps of silver to a fun finished and polished ring. Would totally do this again as it was so much fun!

Do not miss this tour if you are in Bogata!

Jorge is a fantastic communicator. He reconfirmed the pick point and timing for the driver Marco. Marco was punctual and his car was spotless. He spoke a little bit of English and was very personable. We met Jorge and the rest of the small group and headed up the cablecar which was an experience in itself. Jorge and Juan split the group and gave the tour in English and Spanish. Jorge speaks fantastic English and is very knowledgeable about Bogata, a city he clearly loves. The information both historical and cultural was fantastic as was the stop at a local cultural center and cafe where Jorge treated us to a pastry and a drink. The view point was special and Jorge pointed out the different areas of the city. He is a fantastic photographer and offered on more than one occasion to take our photos. At the end of the tour we had an opportunity to visit the museum which gives some more information about the area. Jorge knows where all the clean bathrooms are and they are free of charge! I would highly recommend this tour. Both Jorge and Juan are fantastic guides! We only had one day in Bogata and Jorge gave us a fantastic and comprehensive city tour in the afternoon. We visited all the highlights and even had time to visit Montserate which gave us another vista. Marco picked us up and took us to different neighborhoods and then dropped us at our hotel.

Definitely a trip you should book

This was a perfect getaway to see a beautiful wonder. The trip from start to finish was safe, provided practical information while driving to Zapaquira and the Cathedral of Salt. There were a couple treats and places to do some shopping. Christiam, our driver and host was great. He communicated even though he didn’t speak English through an app and was hospital and gracious.

Amazing coffee experience

This was the most incredible experience. We really learnt what goes into our cup of coffee. On arrival we were given a hearty breakfast and a small lesson about the farm. We then went walking through the lifecycle of the coffee. We saw immature plants, learnt how coffee is collected, collected our own coffee berries. We saw how they are washed and dried. We were the given a tasting of the farms coffee and a small sample to take away. It was an amazing day and treat for a coffee lover
