Our family of six had a spectacular time visiting this farm with Carlos as our guide. In addition to being a walking encyclopedia on the topic of coffee, he knows Medellin and was able to help us better understand the city as he drove us to and from the farm. The experience of better understanding coffee - from seed to processing to tasting - exceeded all of our expectations. Every step of this tour was given with exquisite thoughtfulness and care. I think part of that comes from doing it again and again and having had the chance to perfect it, but for us we felt like the first and favorite customers ever - not a hint of being part of a touristy grind. Carlos and Juan Pablo, who assisted Carlos once we got the farm, seemed truly enthusiastic to share their passion for Colombian coffee with us. Also, this farm is in a breathtakingly beautiful location. I don't think any of us will ever look at or taste coffee the same way again. Be sure to bring plenty of cash so you can buy their products (which they never pushed, we inquired and bought) as well as to tip. We left this tour high on coffee and life. Truly a highpoint of our trip. Thank you Carlos, Juan Pablo, and all at the farm!

This was such a special experience! After multiple coffee-oriented tours across the globe, this was the most in-depth and interactive we've been on by far. From the planting, to the harvesting, to the drying, to the roasting, to the packaging and all the little details in between - we left with a wealth of knowledge no other tour had ever provided us. It was so cool to actually participate in so many of these steps hands-on, and the coffee tasting of the different brewing methods was fascinating! Our guide Carlos was amazing and such an amazing addition to our day on the farm. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Medellin!

This coffee tour was an amazing experience just outside Medellín. The farm is beautiful, and Juan Carlos explained not only the coffee-making process but also shared insights about the city and culture. I really enjoyed the demonstrations, the farm and processing tour, and the delicious snack of banana with cheese and guava jam. The owner’s family was so welcoming and made the whole visit feel personal and relaxed. A perfect mix of learning, scenery, and hospitality — highly recommend!

Despite receiving confirmation texts the night before from our supposed guide, we had a no reply/no show from the operator. I would suggest no using this operator. Buyer beware.

Dear Ryan,
We’re truly sorry to read your review, it completely breaks our heart.
Just to share our side of the story: We were in constant communication with you from the moment you booked and replied at every question you had. As we explained on the day of the tour, our guide unfortunately suffered a traffic accident on his way to meet you, he was rear-ended by another vehicle. We shared the evidence with you as soon as we had them, and we immediately tried to look for a solution, we offered to reschedule the tour for a slightly later time that same day, but you let us know that you had a flight and tight timing, which made it impossible for you to do the tour later or on another day. So we both decided to cancel the tour and issued a full refund.
We truly thought everything was ok and you understood the circumstances, we’re very sorry if this wasn’t how it felt on your side.
We obsessively care about offering the best and most authentic experiences, and it’s our purpose to connect travelers with Colombia’s unique culture, beautiful landscapes and people, we want to make you fall in love with Colombia the way we are, It saddens us that we couldn’t make that happen this time.
We sincerely hope you enjoyed your time in Medellín and Colombia, despite our inconvenience. Best of wishes for you and your loved ones.
The guide is ok.
Warm regards,
The Andes Adventure Team

Great experience with a great guide Juan Carlos. We booked this tour the night before and Vanessa corresponded with us via WhatsApp to confirm everything, answer questions, and gave us the guide’s info and license number. We’ve booked to two additional tours with them. Very pleased!

We had an amazing time on the private coffee tour. Diego was a great guide and it was an amazing experience to explore the independent coffee farm! I’d 100% recommend this tour!!

Absolutely amazing tour in a small coffee plantation just 30 minutes from the hotel. Fantastic guide, a pillow owner, and an in depth discussion on types, smells, and flavors of coffee.
And the plantains at the end were great too?
julie_h, Aug 2024
The guide was amazing! We learned so much and gained a new appreciation for the coffee we drink. We never realized how much work goes into a cup of quality coffee.
JamesA_O, Aug 2024
It was a wonderful experience and we had the best guide!. We learned a lot about coffee processing and everyone was so friendly.

Yuli and Juan Pablo were excellent guides, very welcoming and knowledgeable! The tour picks you up in town and takes you into the mountains to follow the whole process from picking coffee to trying the family farm's coffee prepared 4 different ways. You meet family members and learn the history of Colombia's coffee industry and this family's story in particular. Highly recommend ☕️

Juan Carlos was an outstanding guide during the tour of this absolutely wonderful coffee finca just outside Medellin - really it seemed miles away! Family owner and operated, everyone was wonderful and it was a great experience. Fantastic coffee too, of course!

Our guide, Laura, was so kind, knowledgable and patient with our 4-year-old son who had so many questions. The family-owned farm and its staff was so beautiful and accomadating, and we loved learning about the history of coffee in Colombia and the family's history and coffee business. The coffee tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Cannot recommend this enough.

Fantastic experience touring the coffee farm. Juan Carlos was an excellent host who picked us up from our hotel, offered great conversation throughout the day, and made us feel welcome. The coffee farm is beautiful and the folks that work there were lovely to talk to. Highly recommend
Ben_S, May 2024
The tour with Alex was informative and fun - we got to spend the half day with him and Antonio, who owns the farm. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour a highlight of our trip. Definitely support this wonderful family and their business!

Fantastic tour with our extremely knowledgeable guide, Laura. Not only did we learn about the history of coffee and the process from planting new coffee trees to roasting, but a bit about the history and growth of Medellin. Picking the beans during a thunderstorm (we insisted) was awesome! Turned our coffee tour into an adventure coffee tour!

If you interested with the coffee, this program is 100% for you!! Our guide was Juan, his english was really perfect. On the farm, we tried different ways to make the coffee, thay talked about the history, and we could collect the beans also from the tree. Really good program, i reccommend it 100%
Marianne_C, Mar 2024
Our guide Carlos was amazing! He knew so much about the coffee growing process as he was a coffee farmer himself. He took us to a small family farm right outside the city. The family that operated the farm was lovely and very passionate about coffee. We started by trying coffee prepared in different ways, then we got to pick the bean ourself and follow them through the whole processes. The tour was so wonderful and we learned so much. The coffee we got here was some of the best we’ve ever tasted! Could not recommend more!
Nicholas_G, Mar 2024
Juan Carlos was very knowledgeable and made us feel like we were brothers, I loved it. Answered all our questions about everything and kept it real. I love that.
chetan_s, Feb 2024
Laura is very knowledgeable. Good driver. Would definitely recommend. She explained details of the making process of the coffee from the start to finish. From seeds to the coffee powder.
julia_s, Feb 2024
We had the best time with a really knowledgeable guide and friendly people! It was fun to see the process of bean to cup and in a beautiful location! 100% recommend
*i also left my phone in the guides car and he was very hospitable and dropped it back to my accomodation* thank you for an amazing day!

From start to finish a very fun experience! Diego (guide) was spectacular! He was very personable and informative on our tour of the extremely cute farm. The organic coffee grown there was served to us in various forms, all delicious! Learning about the coffee growing, picking, processing, drying, roasting, and grinding was so interesting and fun! The farm is a peaceful place and we felt warmly welcomed. We loved this experience! Thank you to the farm and Diego!

We had a wonderful morning learning about coffee growing, harvesting and tasting. Our guides were knowledgeable and professional, and gave us insight into the coffee industry and the city/countryside balance in and around Medellín.
Birgitta_E, Jan 2024
Our guide Juan Carlos was the perfect guide. We learnt a lot of the situation in Colombia besides between guided through all the different steps of coffeefarming and coffeemaking at this very welcoming small familyfarm. I am so glad we decided to do a private tour as we got close to things and had the opportunity to ask many questions.
Jace_K, Dec 2023
This was an awesome experience! We had lots of delicious coffee, we’re able to see and pick coffee beans from the trees. We learned a lot about the process of making coffee and it was great!
James_W, Nov 2023
This was really fun and convenient. It's a family owned farm and you really get what feels like an authentic experience. It was also great to do for a half day since it's so close to the city and includes transportation. I would encourage anyone to go on this tour and gain a new respect for the amount of work that goes into that cup of coffee every morning! Five stars!
Tori_K, Oct 2023
We had an awesome time on the tour - Esteban was a great guide as he not only answered all questions on coffee but also provided friendly conversation throughout the morning, making us feel very comfortable the whole time. Antonio's farm was incredible and he was extremely welcoming and personable. It was a lot of fun to explore the whole process of making coffee, from growing, to picking, to processing, to packaging.
One recommendation for next time: be sure to wear long pants (and long sleeves) as there were plenty of mosquitos.

Daniel was a terrific tour guide (very knowledgeable and perfect English). Great experience overall! Would definitely recommend.
Greg_R, Aug 2023
This tour was interesting and gave me a new appreciation for coffee. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the coffee. We had a good (but very hot) time climbing the hill to pick coffee beans. If you are planning to buy coffee beans as gifts to take home, this is the place to do it. We bought some in Comuna 13 but this coffee tasted better and the price was very reasonable. This was a short tour so we still had the rest of the day to spend exploring when we got back at lunch time.
