What are people saying about Medellín

Patricia is the best!
It’s a long, but fun day! Definitely wear good walking shoes. I hate heights but couldn’t resist this, it was definitely a challenge, both for my lungs and my fear of heights but really beautiful views at the top. Breakfast was light, so would recommend packing a snack (there’s also plenty to buy at the rock and other stops). The boat ride was better than I expected. Patricia was an amazing guide, communicated well, and taught us a lot about the history and cultural importance of the areas we were driving through and visiting. Would definitely recommend this experience to my own friends and family.

Our guide Camilo was...
Our guide Camilo was excellent! He not only gave us a tour but took us off the beaten path to places that he frequents himself to create a local experience. He helped us navigate the transit system with ease. We had a lot of fun walking through Comuna 13 & seeing how much it’s grown.

A Good Day
It was a great tour beginning with breakfast. Sebastian and Alejandra gave clear instructions about the day and Ale and our driver John kept us on schedule. There were a few stops and just enough time for each one. The longest stop was at La Piedra but they had to allow enough time for those that wanted to climb the Rock. Although they told us it would cost 35K pesos in cash, they also take credit cards. The lunch was filling and the boat tour was refreshing at the end of a long day. John drove the bus like sports car and got us back to Medellín by 5 PM. It was a good day.

Amazing experien
There’s a reason this experience is so highly rated. Out of all the tours I’ve done in medellin or ever, this one was the best value! $40 USD for an all day experience. Includes breakfast, petting and feeding llamas, a boat ride of Guatape River, tour of the town, and small “hike” up El Peñol rock. Was a great experience. Loved it!! I should note I was a solo traveler so this is very solo traveler friendly.

The Medellín Adventure You Shouldn’t Skip
This was an incredible experience from start to finish! Rueben picked me up directly from my Airbnb and was kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the trip. There are quite a few steps to reach the mountain top—definitely doable, but challenging if cardio isn’t your thing. I was completely gassed, and Rueben even helped carry my backpack.
Helen made check-in easy and helped me feel prepared and ready for the flight. Emerson gave clear instructions, completed thorough safety checks, and explained everything so I knew exactly what to expect. Safety was clearly a priority, and I felt confident in the team’s care and professionalism.
Takeoff was quick, the landing was incredibly smooth, and the flight itself was both fun and surprisingly relaxing. The views were top-tier, and honestly, I’m jealous of birds now. Emerson checked on me throughout the flight, made sure I felt secure, and helped capture great photos and videos.
Everyone had great energy and made me feel safe, calm, and welcome. Having the photos and videos included makes this experience a no-brainer. I highly recommend it and hope your experience is just as amazing as mine!

Would do again!
The company was very timely and informative of the land, city, and trail. Guri and Alejandro we're very pleasant and respectful. The trail up to the waterfall did not feel rushed . The snacks were light and refreshing. Lastly, the food menu items were delicious and authentic.

Family friendly, great first impression of vibrant city
We loved our experience with Tomás! This was our first activity in Medellin. I would highly recommend it! It gave us a great orientation of the city. We were impressed with the bike infrastructure, the green scenery, and our guide’s knowledge. We have three kids (14, 12 and 10). Tomás was very attentive to them - helping with an emergency restroom stop, pointing out interesting activity, and information to the kids, and speaking in slow clear Spanish, so our kids could practice their Spanish and understand.

Best way to explore the city.
★★★★★ 5/5 Stars
This bike tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Medellín and, in my opinion, the best way to explore the city. Riding through different neighborhoods gave me a much better understanding of Medellín’s culture, history, and daily life than I would have gotten on my own.
A special thanks to Ronald, our guide, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing his city. He provided great insights at every stop, answered all our questions, and made the entire experience both fun and informative.
The route was well planned, the bikes were in great condition, and the local snack and coffee stop were excellent additions to the tour. Everything was organized professionally from start to finish.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Medellín. If you want to see the city beyond the typical tourist spots and learn from a fantastic local guide, this is the tour to book! 🚴🇨🇴☕️👏

Guatape experience
Our trip to Guatapé, Colombia with Aerotrurex Tours was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, everything was fun, organized, informative, and packed with unforgettable views and experiences. Our tour guide Cesar truly made the trip special with his energy, knowledge, and amazing personality. He kept everyone engaged, entertained, and feeling welcomed the entire day.
One of the highlights was getting to experience the authentic Colombian food — fresh, flavorful, and a perfect part of the cultural experience. Between the beautiful scenery, rich history, great atmosphere, and delicious local cuisine, this tour was hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had in Colombia. If you’re visiting Medellín and want an unforgettable day trip to Guatapé, this is the tour to book. Highly recommend!

So much fun!
We had a wonderful horseback riding experience that we truly enjoyed. Our guide, Sara, was exceptional from the very beginning and added so much to the overall experience. The horses, Troya and Paloma, were calm, well cared for, and a pleasure to ride.
It was a long and rewarding ride, with a stop along the way to enjoy a spectacular view. Although it rained on and off, we were provided with waterproof covers, and it was never uncomfortable. In fact, the cooler weather and lack of strong sun made the ride even more enjoyable.
During the ride up, Sara gave us a great overview of Medellín, sharing interesting insights about the city and the surrounding region. Beyond being very professional, she is a warm and genuine person with a truly lovely spirit, which made the experience feel personal and special.
I would also like to highlight Andrés from Medellín Day Trips, who was excellent to work with. He checked in with us both before and after the activity to ensure everything met our expectations, demonstrating a high level of care and professionalism.
This activity was the perfect way to start our first day in Medellín. It allowed us to get some exercise, connect with nature, and enjoy local horses in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Rich history and hopeful future
Wow. JAIME was a wonderful tour guide and a captivating storyteller. He has a lot of knowledge of history of his city and you can feel the love he has for it. His communications in English is effective and fluent. I was able to discuss on numerous issues with him. He presented a balanced perspective of the Medellin cartel. I appreciated the insights and thd people we met along the way. He's a great driver too. Thank you, my man. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Joshua was a FANTASTIC guide!
I booked this tour with my partner and we could not have had a better experience.
Our tour guide was Joshua and he was a 12/10 tour guide. He picked us up right at the hostel we were staying at - he was informative, professional and very easy-going. He was great with letting us go at our own pace and we spent much of our tour time exploring the “Comuna 13” and the Downtown area. We never made it to the cable cars which was our own decision because we wanted to spend more time at the first two destinations and Joshua was very accommodating.
“Comuna 13” was a bustling favela type neighborhood that had plenty of cool things to check out: Bars/Restaurants, Street Food, Street Graffiti, Soccer Field and Joshua gave some insight to the history of the neighborhood as it was “the most dangerous” neighborhood back in the ‘80’s.
From there we went to the downtown area where we walked around and Joshua explained some of the more prominent buildings in the downtown area and we did some shopping with the local vendors. He also took us to the “Nacional Palacio” which was their version of a mall but it was a beautiful building with an art museum on the rooftop floor which i would highly recommend checking out. Joshua was also EXTREMELY helpful with helping us haggle on prices in the downtown area as me and my partner were not the best at speaking Spanish.
All in all - we had a great time and cannot thank Joshua enough for a great day exploring the city of Medellín!
