We had limited time in...
We had limited time in Quito, and while this is a long excursion, it was well worth it! Our guide, Rasu, was fabulous! Personable, knowledgeable, and a great ambassador for the region and the country. Cotapaxi was hidden by clouds when we first visited the park, but revealed her beauty later in the day. Quilatoa was an amazing spot. The walk down toward the lake was relatively easy, but the return uphill was quite strenuous, due to the altitude.

With only one day to...
With only one day to explore Quito, it was great to have a knowledgeable, friendly guide, like George to show us the sites. We started with the cable car ride, as George suggested, because mornings are clearer. Our old town visit started with a tour of the Basilica, and gorgeous views of the old city. Next, we wandered through a few of the old town squares, visiting two churches and seeing historic buildings, shops and street vendors. Our day concluded with a trip to Intiñan Museo de Sitio at the equator, a fun and informative way to end a fabulous day! We highly recommend this tour and George.

Cotopaxi is a must do!
Great day that didn’t feel as long as 12 hours. We stopped for breakfast, got some Coca tea, visited the Cotopaxi museum, the lagoon, and then walked up to the Base Camp. The walk definitely makes you breathless so take it slowly, but you can do it. It’s only about a mile long and 750 ft up to the BC. Afterwards, you stop at a cute spot for lunch and then head back into Quito for your drop off. Pamela, our guide, had so much energy and taught us a lot about the area and history. We loved her!

A once-in-a-lifetime experience!
This is an incredible adventure! Wonderful and knowledgeable guides pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the base of Cotopaxi where you go an a gorgeous horseback ride for about an hour before embarking on a hike up to basecamp. A once-in-a-lifetime experience! Highly recommend!

Ecuador’s capital Quito is famous for its high altitude, colonial architecture, and for being a jumping-off point for ventures into nature. Quito tours help you explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town, visit the Mitad del Mundo monument at the equator, discover local markets and culinary delights, and take in views from the TelefériQo Cable Car. Plus, day trips to nearby attractions such as Cotopaxi Volcano and Mindo Cloud Forest offer adventures beyond the city.
