Overall, it was an exceptional experience on a perfect day 🌞🪂. The people on site were super kind. For transportation, it’s better for you to coordinate your own ride to the site because they charge you double what it should cost versus just taking an Uber on your own or with whoever you go with.

Best thing we did all week!

This was by far one of the most incredible experiences I have had to date. Blue Sky Parapente delivered exceptional service from the beginning to the end. Our driver, Juanes, was delightful, and we enjoyed engaging conversation the entire journey to the base. Upon arrival, visitors can opt to pay a transport fee of approximately 26,000 pesos each way to ride up to the launch site, or they can choose to climb a few hundred steps. I found the steps to be perfectly manageable and an excellent opportunity to stretch before the flight. The flight itself was phenomenal. My pilot, Camilo, was truly outstanding. The entire process felt incredibly smooth and secure. Even for someone who typically fears heights, this adventure remains an absolute must. It is remarkably peaceful flying alongside the birds, and the pilots take excellent care to ensure your comfort. Camilo was fantastic, checking in frequently and pointing out notable sights such as a local potato farm and unique regional flora and fauna. The pricing is very reasonable considering the premium quality of the operation, and the entire staff is incredibly welcoming. The facility is well maintained with clean bathrooms and features a few friendly dogs to interact with while you wait for your takeoff. Overall, I rate this a perfect 10 out of 10 and cannot wait to return. Anyone visiting the city needs to add this paragliding experience to their Medellin bucket list.

The excursion with Andres to the family coffee farm just outside Medellin was a perfect excursion. As a coffee enthusiast myself, we tasted how different brewing methods affect taste. Andres explained the key aspect of coffee production as we roamed the beautiful mountain of the coffee farm and the production facilities. Andres provides clear explanations along with the tactile connection of walking around the farm. An added treat was trying the producer’s newest coffee bean creation (he’s regularly making experimenting). I whole heartedly recommend this tour!

Must Try

Trying this was amazing, and I regret not doing it sooner. They picked me up from my Airbnb. I had accidentally set the alarm wrong, so the driver waited about 20 minutes and then knocked on my door. Thankfully, that solved it. The drive took around one hour. Check-in was quick. Then we took off. We started flying, and it was a great experience. I truly recommend trying it yourself.

Get out of your comfort zone and do something amazing!

What a great experience from beginning to end. I was able to arrange round trip transportation with them at an additional cost. My driver Carlos was wonderful. He not only ensured I felt safe and comfortable, he is extremely well traveled and knowledgeable about the city and surrounding areas. The flight zone requires walking up some steep steps to the top, but you could consider paying the toll each way and asking the driver to get you to the top. The experience itself was perfect. Don’t skip photos and videos (paid separately). The pilot and everyone that assisted were patient and friendly. They ensured my experience was safe and amazing. Landing was absolutely smooth. Don’t forget to get your cheesy bread and hot chocolate with cheese at Panchocha after flight. I’m glad I decided to get out of my comfort zone and do something amazing!

Our tour guide, “Chispita”, was excellent—clear, engaging, and very knowledgeable. Being a resident of Comuna 13 himself, he shared the powerful history of transformation in the neighborhood with authenticity and heart. The graffiti artworks, full of color and meaning, came alive through his explanations of resilience, culture, and hope. One of the highlights was definitely the drone videos and photos, which captured the breathtaking views and energy of the comuna in a way that added a whole new perspective to the experience. It was not just a tour—it was a moving journey into the story of change, art, and community spirit. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Medellín who wants to understand its culture and resilience more deeply

The best people to fly with, no question!

The whole experience was fantastic. Starting with Mauricio, who kindly picked us up at the hotel and stayed with us the whole time. He was punctual, accommodating, communicative, kind, and very, very helpful. He himself is a pilot in training, so he was able to explain the theory and technique, as well as the dynamics of paragliding. Mauricio was absolutely the best! Once up on the hill, our pilots - Carlos and Sebastian - were also incredible. They have over a decade of experience and managed to make the experincee relaxing, fun, and memorable. And while up in the air, they were super accommodating, flying us over beautiful landmarks, flying back towards anything we had questions about (from thermal columns to birds, waterfalls, and city landmarks). Along the way, being the kind and conscientious people that they are, they made sure that we got the absolute best pictures, too. What's best, you could tell they were having as much fun as we were. Thank you, Mauricio. Thank you, Carlos. Thank you, Sebastian. The best of the best!

This was the most amazing...

This was the most amazing and educational experience! Guillermo picked us up at our hotel and through out the drive offered us insight into the region, pointed out sights, etc. Once we arrived, we were met by our guide Mateo. Mateo is incredibly knowledgeable not only about coffee, but about agriculture in general. He is a natural teacher, and made the learning very interactive. He did not push or try to sell their coffee as the best coffee ever, although for my taste it is and I bought three bags to bring home. This tour completely changed how i think about coffee and how I will buy and consume it. The lunch was incredible, and I highly recommend trying the dessert options offered. Overall, this was one of the best experiences we had not only in Medellin but in our lives in overall. Highly recommend!

It's a bit expensive as...

It's a bit expensive as you're charged by the person. At $30 each, I paid $60 for two people which is a bit pricey especially for Colombia. But the service was 5 star, and it was the most reliable option available at the time. The driver was on time and drove well, and his vehicle was great.
