So much fun on the Necrobus! A spooky, yet not scary, often hilarious tour through some of the darker tales London has to offer. Our guide, Stan was absolutely fantastic and committed to his role. #westanforstan Great family fun, or for a silly date night out.

Overview

London's darker history is scattered across the city, and the sites tied to it are easy to walk past without knowing what happened there. Ride a vintage Routemaster bus with a guide instead, covering the ground between them while the stories fill in what you're looking at. Pass landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, and Fleet Street, lit up as you go.
  • See some of the capital’s most haunted sites, including those you might not find alone
  • This evening activity is the ideal additional to a day of sightseeing
  • Pack in plenty of London attractions in one convenient tour
  • Travel in a classic 1960s Routemaster bus with a Gothic twist

Itinerary

Choose a convenient evening start time and meet your guide near Trafalgar Square for a journey through the city’s gruesome history. Board the ghost bus—a 1960s Routemaster with its own dark history—grab a seat in the shadowy lower or upper deck, and peek out the window as your coach winds through the sinister streets of the capital city.

With such a long and bloody history, many of London’s most esteemed landmarks—such as the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and London Bridge—come with a side of infamy and mystery. Pass the Tower of London, where many tyrants (and the occasional innocent) met their death by ax, and Westminster Abbey to learn about the ancient royal tombs that were discovered there.

As you ride, hear chilling tales of London’s most prolific hauntings, deadliest diseases, and most depraved characters. Keep your wits about you as your guide recounts the Whitehall Mystery, a grisly murder case from the 19th century where neither the victim nor the killer was ever identified. Hear chilling tales of the black dog of Newgate Prison and of Sweeney Todd, the demon barber (and butcher) of Fleet Street.

The Necrobus is a must take!

Fun night

Dana_D, Aug 2026
The tour guide was fantastic and has a great sense of humor. I’ve done quite a few ghost tours, so I did expect it to be a little more creepy, but even though it wasn’t what I expected, I had a fabulous time. The bus driver was great as well. I felt very safe. Thank you for making my first trip to London memorable.

Beyond Seeing the Sights!!!!

Richard_S, Aug 2026
Such a fun way to see the London! We have done ghost tours in every city we visit for the last 10 years. This was definitely one of the most enjoyable!

Well, it’s was...

Ashleigh_L, Aug 2026
Well, it’s was entertaining I suppose. The bus was warm. The guide was a little abrasive for my taste. He was super loud, got right in your face and the amount of vomit sounds were over the top! Also the sights while on the bus were sometimes mentioned after you had already passed so you didn’t see them. Would I recommend? Maybe not…

Stan Broker was our tour...

Vivienne_L, Jul 2026
Stan Broker was our tour guide, and he made the ghost bus tour come alive. The information in the tour is very interesting, but his very energetic performance throughout the tour was worth the price of admission by itself.

Ghost bus tour Was great well worth doing and the host was great had a fantastic night ...... .......

Fun and Spooky

MELISSA_P, Jul 2026
This was a funny, spooky tour of London that offered interesting history you would not get on any other tour. The guide was great, interactive and informative. We had a blast and even saw a ghost!

Just the Right Amount of Spooky

Joseph_N, Jul 2026
The Ghost Bus Tour was a wonderfully eerie ride with a host who was perfectly electric, energetic enough to keep everyone engaged, but never tipping into over-the-top theatrics. His delivery had that ideal balance of charm and chill, making the ghostly lore feel fun rather than frightening. The stories were rich with history and just spooky enough to keep the adults leaning in, while still being completely enjoyable for our three younger children. Plenty of atmosphere, plenty of laughs, and just a whisper of goosebumps, the kind you don’t mind getting. The host’s timing, humor, and storytelling made the whole experience feel polished and cleverly crafted. A ghost tour that doesn’t try too hard to scare you, but absolutely succeeds in entertaining you. A hauntingly good time for families and anyone who enjoys a little lore with their London sightseeing.

Cedric was amazing! So entertaining and such a great balance of history and performance. Definitely recommend!

A ton of fun

Rory_L, Jul 2026
Fun tour - learned some spooky history and got a quick and breezy round of the city's landmarks with darker legends. Tour host "Cedric" was utterly fantastic - an absolutely hilarious and entertaining performer who 1000% made the tour worth taking.

We had a great time on this tour! Our guide was Cedric and couldn’t have asked for a better one! He was super entertaining and engaging the whole time. Would absolutely recommend!!!!!

We had such a fun time on...

Jarrett_E, Jul 2026
We had such a fun time on this tour. It was funny (cheesy so of the time) but learned a lot of the history of the city.

Fun and unique!

Miranda_r, Jul 2026
A fun way to learn about the history of the city. Our guide, Scar, was an amazing actor and had my kids (11 & 13) laughing.

An amazingly spooky tour!

Micah_B, Jul 2026
Scar was absolutely amazing! Not only was the tour entertaining, we learned some awesome (and creepy) London history. Would recommend to anyone! Scar made it spooky, funny, and informative! Loved it!

A definite must do

Karen_M, Jun 2026
Do not miss this tour if you are in London it's a definite must. Our guide Stan was definitely the man. Thank you for giving us an interesting tour with lots of information

Campy and fun

Kenneth_S, Jun 2026
Campy and amusing. #stan the narrator did a great job. Lots of dad jokes but made it fun. Nice stories and good way to see central London quickly.

Wonderful time.

Natalie_K, Jun 2026
We loved this experience! It was an evening of murder and mystery coupled with tons of laughter!! Highly recommend people try for an evening. The bus itself is worth the ticket.

Meh….it was HOT

Beth_M, May 2026
The bus has no AC and is scorching hot! You’re likely to die on the tour from heatstroke. But the guide was funny and we enjoyed almost the rest of the tour. The end was super cheesy though, they really need another better ending than a dumb movie with no point to it.

What a ghostly tour!

Laurin_W, May 2026
This tour was so entertaining and the guide was wonderful. He would go up and down the stairs and kept everyone engaged! I highly recommend taking this tour!

Disappointed

Sharon_E, May 2026
For the cost we expected more than 55 minutes and the bus we should have had was not available so on another where sound system didn’t work. Red hot and stuffy, we were disappointed

Good but hot

Jennifer_H, May 2026
The host of the tour was upbeat and friendly. However the bus is NOT air conditioned, which made for a VERY hot experience. Also the windows barely open. This is a very old bus.

Nice way to see London

50Mlwyddoed, May 2026
Following a last minute mix up with our booking I contacted customer services, who were excellent in both response time and in actually resolving the problem. The tour itself was interesting and highlighted a number of things which were new to me. Thank you.

Fun, but could be so much more

Holly_W, May 2026
Ben the guide was excellent. London is a city with thousands of stories, the ones chosen for this tour left us pretty lacking. There is so much material they could use but for some reason the tour relies on pre-recorded videos and a full on ‘séance’. Keep the jokes, but cut the padding and just tell us about the ghosts of London.

Entertaining experience!

Jiannie_L, Apr 2026
The guide is quite entertaining, unfortunately the sound system isn’t the best and we had difficulty hearing what she was saying at times. There were some facts shared and there was some acting. Overall it was fun.

We booked months in...

Savannah_S, Apr 2026
We booked months in advance and were really excited. On the day of, we messaged them letting them know we would be a few minutes behind given the strike going on in the subway. We didn’t get a respond nor a notification saying the message was read. As we were pulling up to the meeting stop, literally 1 minute after our meeting time, the bus was pulling away. The bus that was behind them said we would have to contact customer service to book another day. We didn’t get a response from anyone, the communication is poor.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi there, I am so sorry to ear about this experience. Could you please get in contact with me at the Ghost bus tours by emailing me at booking@theghostbustours.com so I can assist by rectifying this situation to make sure you enjoy a evening on the Necrobus. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards The Ghost bus team

Off the beaten path

Brian_M, Apr 2026
Hugh Faquer was exceptional. He was very engaging and humerous. Great history for those that have met a gruesome end in London. A lot of tongue in cheek and groan producing statements kept things fun. Highlybrevommend for those looking for something off the beaten path. Just don’t sit where they would store the dead bodies like we did. I think we brought a spirit back to our hotel with us. We’ll be leaving that with them when we retirn to the states. Thanks again, Hugh. Boo!

Spooky London activity

Amanda_A, Apr 2026
Our host scar made this excursion very fun and entertaining. Me and my partner had a great time and appreciated the experience.

Waste of time and money

Stephen_S, Mar 2026
We booked this as a way to drive around London, see sites where questionable activities may (or may not) have taken place; fully expecting a tongue in cheek narrative. This tour simply drove down a few streets, maybe in circles; and the guide told nonsensical stories. No attempt at pointing out significant geographical markers, sites or buildings. Boring and dumb. Waste of money and time.

Not a Lot of Ghost Stories

Katherine_D, Mar 2026
The guide was great. Very engaging and great actor. However, I expected a lot more ghost stories considering how old London is. I have done quite a few ghost tours in the US that had more stories to share.
