Went to see many...
Went to see many interesting sites and learned a lot about the area. Arjun, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and courteous, telling us interesting facts about areas as well as things like where to take good pictures and restaurant recommendations.

Emre was Amazinf
Emre was amazing, he got called in as the original guide called in sick suddenly so even though we started little later than expected all was well in the end. The food was amazing and Emre was very informative about the history of the streets and places we visited.
Thanks for a great time

Amazing day tour of Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, Wolfville and interior Nova Scotia
Evan, our tour guide, was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable about the specific areas and had many great stories to share. He suggested stores and restaurants which were all outstanding! We were able to see Peggy's Cove, Queensland Beach, Lunenburg, Wolfville, the Bay of Fundy and parts of the interior of Nova Scotia. I highly recommend this day trip! So worth it!

Absolutely awesome day in Halifax
Paul, the gentleman who runs the tour just literally made my day. Very organized, very friendly, trustworthy just in time person with an incredible expertise in Halifax history. I spent a day with a group of other people with Paul. It was incredible. Strongly recommend this tour for everyone.

Great experience from start to finish.
Our guide Jonathan was amazing! He took great care of us from start to finish. Very informative (and fun) dialogue. We loved all the stops, especially Peggy’s Cove-so charming! Our guide recommended a wonderful restaurant that we thoroughly enjoyed (beer and lobster, enough said!) Viator was great to work with, awesome communication and booking process. Thanks for a great experience!

It was interesting...
It was interesting learning about the city of Halifax from land and from the sea. The driver and guide did a great job. The only improvement that I would suggest is to have more speakers on the vehicle. A lot of the time is was very difficult to hear/understand what was being said due to the noise of the vehicle.

Peggy’s Cove/Titanic Cemetery must do excursion
Ron with Anchor Tours was a fantastic tour guide for our small group Peggy’s Cove and Titanic Cemetery Tour. He was very knowledgeable and shared lots of historical information with us. He was also very accommodating and took one of our group members to a nearby park to see a memorial plaque of William Alexander, who founded Nova Scotia and is one of his ancestors!

Perfect Private tour day
We spent a day exploring Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg with Anant as our guide. From beginning to end, Anant’s expertise, warmth, and passion transformed what could have been just a “tour” into an all-around memory maker.
From the moment he picked us up, Anant’s professionalism was evident. The vehicle was comfortable, clean, and climate-controlled, with water bottles ready — exactly what you need when covering as much ground as we did.
As we made our way along Nova Scotia’s sparkling coastline, Anand’s narration was so much more than reciting facts. He wove together local stories, legends, and personal insights that gave depth to each stop. We stopped at Peggy’s Cove, along with the hundreds of people on the big cruise ship buses. We loved the VIP feel of our own luxury SUV. In Mahone Bay, we enjoyed the charming waterfront houses with whimsical lawn decor for the annual, unique Scarecrow Festival. In Lunenburg, Anant guided us across cobbled streets, explaining maritime heritage with the Blue Nose II and how the people lived through time.
Flexibility & personal touch: When we asked to spend a little extra time at certain vantage points or detour for a photo opportunity, Anant happily accommodated. He balanced sticking to the schedule with letting the day breathe.
Passion & personality: Anant has the gift of making history feel alive. He’s not lecturing; he’s conversing. You feel like you’re uncovering stories alongside a local friend. As a fascinating tidbit, he used to lead tours in the Himalayas and was happy to answer our questions about that too!
Please note, the tour itinerary involves a lot of driving between sights. We enjoyed seeing the Fall colors, scenic water views & listening to Anant.
Thank you for giving us a Halifax day we’ll remember always.

Great tour if you dont have much time
There was a slight change in pick up venue but still only a short walk from cruise ship. Stuart our tourguide was there a few minutes early. There was only 3 of us which meant plenty of room in the vehicle. First stop was the Citadel. We had 45 minutes here but in reality you need much longer to do the place justice. Lots of information and displays to view and read as well as actually exploring the fort as well.
We then had about 10 minutes at the Titanic war graves which was fine.
The main stop was Peggy's Cove. It was about a 45min drive out through fantastic and changing scenery. We ended up with about an hour at the Cove which allowed enough time to visit the Lighthouse on the rocks as well as gift shops and walk around the village. It was a beautiful day and views stunning.
If you have more time to spare I would advise booking a full day tour to give more time at the Citadel and Peggy's Cove.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very helpful and pointed out the 'must do's at the stops. Definitely recommend if like me, you only had a short time in port.

Great value, relaxing & informative tour
This was a wonderful, worthwhile day trip from Halifax. We left the city before 9 and were back by 5pm or so. The tour guide Robert was informative, helpful and took us to the best photo spots and made a wonderful recommendation for a lobster place away- out of the tourist spots. The van was clean and comfortable and Robert drove us safely. We had a decent amount of time in each location. Peggy’s cove was really lovely.

Great way to see the south shore
First, this is more like a full day tour than 1/2 day and Paul is great. Beautiful Nova Scotia south shore and loved Lunenburg. Paul provided a wonderful historic perspective and has onboard entertainment to fill the void between stops. Paul makes great recommendations for things to see and where to eat. The Salt Shaker in Lunenburg for lunch was a great place to eat…it will be busy though.

Haligonians love to show visitors around their hometown, so there are plenty of Halifax tours. Follow your guide to catch the sunset from Peggy’s Cove, home to what locals say is Canada’s most photographed lighthouse. Or, head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg or the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where you can see the graves of 121 Titanic victims. Meanwhile, in Annapolis Valley, guides know where to find the best wineries, and at historic Halifax Harbour, they’ll have you helping a boat crew hoist the sails. Refuel on fresh seafood chowder during a culinary-themed walking tour.
