Board the Harbour Hopper, a renovated amphibious vehicle from the Vietnam War era, at the Halifax Ferry Terminal. Take a seat on the covered open deck for great views of the city's top attractions. The tour begins on land in Halifax’s historic district downtown. A fun way to get to know the history of Halifax. Paisley was a great tour guide and kept us chuckling throughout the tour. :) I would recommend!
Devin was a fantastic guide. He presented a great talk as we toured the sights by road and provided an entertaining and informative narrative. Then the water transition was a big splash and so much fun. This is a perfect family activity and affordable. Highly recommended. Dave, the driver, did a great job driving that huge boat on the roads.
Abby was very perky and made the ride enjoyable. They provided a lot of information about Halifax and touring the citadel was perfect. It was a rainy day, but they had the tarp on and they provided ponchos, so it wasn’t nearly as bad as I anticipated.
Well worth the money. Great tour of the city and bay. Driver and tour guide were great at their job. Friendly guide and talked to everyone to see if any questions.
Tour guide was young, eager and knowledgeable. It was a fun experience. So cool looking at the road leading to the water. Be prepared for a bumpy ride.
Perhaps more information on the city and places that we were passing. Overall it was very well done .
Very friendly , funny ,entertaining and informative .! Would recommend for great views and to get to know Halifax!
The tour was great as we're the driver and assistant, jeff and Paisley.
The one issue I have was not with the tour, but the parking. We were running late and the entrance we drove into had no marking for where to pay, or even that you had to pay. We ended up with a parking ticket which was not fun since we are from the US and I had to do a little work to get it paid. Another kiosk at the second entrance would be helpful.

Parking in the downtown area is controlled by either the city or by other private companies. Because of this we specify that parking is up to the customer and is not provided by Ambassatours. My wife doesn’t like the feeling of stepping into boats so being able to climb into it and exiting from land was a huge plus

We had a great time on the Halifax Hopper with Hopperator Dave and Tour Guide Katie. Katie kept the tour fun, lively, and easy to follow, and Dave handled the ride smoothly from the streets into the water. It was a great mix of sightseeing, history, and humor without feeling too heavy. This would be especially good for families because it keeps everyone entertained while still showing off a lot of Halifax in a short time. Highly recommend for a fun, easy way to see the city.

The driver was great, the director was very knowledgeable and extremely well spoken.
After a week long convention it was nice to get out of the hotel and hear about the history of Halifax and drive through the city and harbour on the Harbour Hopper. Captain Geoff and Paisley were wonderful. Definitely recommend!
It is very informative. Devin the Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and comical. Jeff the Captain was skilled at driving on very narrow streets with tons of traffic
Great tour. Riley was a great tour guide with tons of knowledge concerning Halifax. We did miss a small portion of town because of traffic but the transition seemed seamless!
Sit near the back for the best view and least splash. LOL! Anywhere on the craft is great though. Captain and tour-guide (Riley) know the area quite well and super impressive how they move this small house through the narrow streets and on the water. As the captain let us know, Riley knew all the Hali-facts. LOL!!!! Highly recommend this when in town.
Very fun way to get a quick overview and history of Halifax. Easily reached by taking a short walk along city boardwalk from ship docked in port.

Be prepared for changing weather if taking the tour in September and good to have something to wipe/dry the seat. Otherwise be prepared for lots of fun and laughter, many interesting facts, and having a very enjoyable hour around downtown Halifax. :)
