Our guide was Mo. We experienced our tour in a small group, very personalized. The smaller group size made it wonderful for asking questions and getting in and out of highly traveled tourist sites. Mo was so knowledgeable and interesting. Would definitely recommend. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was I thought that meet up could be communicated a little bit better about where the meeting point should be. Ie: at the picnic table, or at the square center of park.

James, our tour guide, was punctual and even called just before arriving to confirm our meeting spot, which we appreciated. He was knowledgeable about Halifax and shared interesting information with enthusiasm throughout the day.
However, his driving left a lot to be desired. He frequently had to look at his phone for directions, which made us a bit uneasy and suggested he wasn’t entirely familiar with the routes to our destinations.
Overall, while James was friendly and well-informed, the experience would have been more enjoyable and relaxing with more confident navigation and smoother driving.

However, we sincerely apologize that his reliance on navigation and driving style made you feel uneasy. All our guides undergo training for the area they are assigned. Although, familiar with the area, checking for traffic on routes and destination with the help of google amps is standard practice and shouldn't worry you.

If traveling by cruise ship, remember to check arrival times as well as ship’s departure times. This was a small group(4people) , so it was more more personalized. We were able to see many things on this tour

Don't trust the website for pickup. We don't always check our email on vacation. Sat out for over 30 minutes and no show shuttle or car . Lucky a lady told that the company was bad to come into the port . She told were to meet at park. Very poor communication..I booked late and asked to put my wife's booking together. No we were in different cars. I would not recommend this company to my best enemy.

A little disappointed. My husband booked later and he asked that the reservation be combined. The day of the trip we were supposed to be picked up at the port. We didn't know to check for an email telling us that we needed to meet at a park up the street. Luckily some ladies at the port told us that where we needed to go after calling to see what was happening. We got to the pickup and my husband and I were in separate cars. Since we thought we had the same driver my car had already left. There was not enough room for me in the other car so the one I was supposed to be in had to come back. The other driver was late so it delayed two cars leaving and putting us behind. We were supposed to be at the citadel to see the cannon fired off but missed it since we were delayed. The driver was very informative and knew alot of the local history.

Small group tour, had to walk half a mile to pick up when initially told it would be at the terminal. Guide was great but hard to hear from the back seats. But only six in the group made up for it all. Would recommend.

This tour is a convoluted joke. If I could I would give it a -10! They didn’t send a car , we ended up going back to the ship after walking a half mile to the pickup point. No never use this tour company!!!!

Unfortunately, our tour never got off the ground. The tour operator was delayed beyond what we could wait, so we ended up taking a taxi to the various sites. That was a little more expensive and contained less local color, but it worked. I must say that Viatour was excellent and handled our request for reimbursement very professionally and successfully.

Great day! However, you need to know that you must leave the terminal pier and find the See Tours location. Our driver did call to reach out to us and we were in the right spot, but paid a taxi to bring us there to ensure our correct location. Layton was great and took us inside the Citidel to tour on our own, the Titanic grave site(note not able to get up close on big tour buses) and an amazing stop at Peggy’s Cove and lobster roll! So beautiful and delicious.

There was a slight change in pick up venue but still only a short walk from cruise ship. Stuart our tourguide was there a few minutes early. There was only 3 of us which meant plenty of room in the vehicle. First stop was the Citadel. We had 45 minutes here but in reality you need much longer to do the place justice. Lots of information and displays to view and read as well as actually exploring the fort as well.
We then had about 10 minutes at the Titanic war graves which was fine.
The main stop was Peggy's Cove. It was about a 45min drive out through fantastic and changing scenery. We ended up with about an hour at the Cove which allowed enough time to visit the Lighthouse on the rocks as well as gift shops and walk around the village. It was a beautiful day and views stunning.
If you have more time to spare I would advise booking a full day tour to give more time at the Citadel and Peggy's Cove.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very helpful and pointed out the 'must do's at the stops. Definitely recommend if like me, you only had a short time in port.

Our guide first took us to Peggy’s Cove. It was a little less than an hour to get there and he spoke for a while, but was so difficult to hear for those of us who sat in the second or third row of his van. It would’ve been nice if he had some sort of speaker system and also could provided more information about what we were looking at as we drove along. He was informative at the cemetery and pointed out a couple of things about the Titanic grave sites. When we were dropped off at the Citadel, there was a very long line for tickets. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before being able to enter. I don’t believe this was the drivers fault since tickets could not be pre-purchased but it was inconvenient. It would have been nice for the city tour to have been narrated better with specific details about where we were passing. Our tour guide gave a few details but again, he was very hard to hear.

The tour guide Siteseeing Tours never showed up. We were told by two security guards that they had been banned from the port for 5 years and that the president of the company was being arrested in the parking lot. We ended up taking a cab and were able to see most of the locations, but with our any narration.
On the good side, Vitator refunded the tour the same day.

I was given 3 different addresses to meet the bus. The bus didn’t arrive. When See Sights were contacted they couldn’t confirm whether their buses would be running today. They said the police had stopped them from operating any tours.
I didn’t get any notification from them to say that the bus wasn’t coming and had to keep ringing them.
We were only in port for 1 day and all the other tours were booked up so had to get a taxi to where we wanted to go which cost more than twice the amount I had paid to Viator.
Shocking service especially knowing that we were cruise customers only here for 1 day.
If I could give a minus score I would!!!

Avoid this company. They are called Sea Sights. We booked a tour, paid for the tour, were confirmed by the operator the day before…and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. There were 10 of us waiting…..no message, no call, no email….just a no show. We tried contacting them….direct to voicemail, no explanation.
So, reserve at your own risk….or better yet, choose someone else.

The stops were all interesting and informative. However our guide could have been more knowledgeable and talkative. The transportation was unacceptable- we were a group of 7 people and sat 3 in back row, 3 in middle and one in front. It would have been ok if it was a short day, however it was 5 hours. Climbing in and out of the last row and squeezing in the car was uncomfortable for a half day tour. A ban would have e been more appropriate.

There was a fair amount of van travel for the length of the visit at Peggy’s Cove. About the right amount of time at the Fairview Cemetery. We could have spent more time at the Citadel. Our driver Manny was excellent. He was very informative and helpful to the passengers in his van.

Company needs better coordination of pickup process. One driver just said”you’re not on my list” and walked off. Driver said he texted with “What’s App”. Was not informed communication would take place via that tool. After that, rest of tour pretty good… great knowledge and communication.
