Amanda, our guide, was amazing. Very knowledgeable of history. The stops for food and drinks were awesome. Amanda played music, we sang and laughed a lot. It was an amazing way to see the sights of Halifax. We all had a fantastic time. The best part of our trip!

Good times but different than we expected

Our group had a fun experience on this Tour but were surprised by a couple of things I want to make sure others do know. In Halifax the city does not allow you to have alcoholic beverages in the solar bike itself so the adult beverage portion we were expecting all took place at a couple of different local establishments. We were kind of expecting that we'd be able to ride and tour more of the city but we really only covered a few blocks of the city and spent the rest of the time at a waterfront bar/restaurant and a hotel bar/restaurant a couple of blocks away from the port. We still had a good time but wanted to share this detail we thought might be helpful to others.

It was fun and you can petal if you want. It is electric so it’s your choice. If full some seats don’t have petals. You can not drink while on the vehicle.

Was so fun, Leaf our guide was so kind and full of information. The stops were just the right amount of time and each very different. 4 of us 60 years old and decided it was our favorite excursion of the trip. One note - they can’t serve drinks outside in Halifax, but we got great drinks AND food at each stop!

Leith was a great tour guide! He was fun, friendly and had great energy! Super fun ride through the city. My only suggestion would be to let people know in advance what food they could order at the spots. This would give them an option to decide if they want pizza at the first stop or something else at the second stop. But overall, it was a really fun time! Thanks!

Do Not Use Viator

What experience? I am filing a complaint---and probably on YELP and everyone of your advertised sites unless I am refunded. We had booking no. BR 11826852591 Halifax Water Solar-Powered pedal 2:00, Thurs. Oct. 10, 2024 2 Seniors Code: Halifaxpartybike Tour operator NKYV-180924 We were at the sign, in the parking lot of Westin Hotel, at 130---- IN THE RAIN. A little after 2 pm, I call the phone no. As the person and I were talking, the pedal bus drove by----we started screaming Hey Hey Hey----nope, just kept going. Then after on hold for a bit, the lady told us keep our cell line clear, the driver was going to call us where to meet up----waited another 30 min. IN THE RAIN---no call. I have used Viator in the past with no complaints. But now, we are Senior Citizens. And $96.30 is a lot of money for us. We kindly as for help in this matter. Hi Regenia, after speaking with you tonight, I believe we figured out what happened. You went to the REAR of the parking lot where we store our bike at the end of the day. You would have had to walk right past Jeff & the big green bike at the FRONT of the parking lot to get there, so I'm not sure how you could have missed him or the bike or the 8 other people who were on the bike for the same tour. As you know, your cell phone was not working in Canada and you could not receive my phone calls or texts to you to find out where you were. If you had a working number, then I could have reached you when I called to find out where you were & simply told you to walk 100 ft to the front of the parking lot where the bike was. Even given the above & as mentioned to you directly, I am happy to discuss a refund for you. :)

Not worth it

Went on a very loud bicycle bus and mainly stopped at a restaurant for a piece of pizza and a dive bar to buy a drink. Not worth the money. The driver was lovely but that was it.

Hi Cory - sorry your tour experience was not as you expected. We did try to tailor your experience to accommodate your other plans. We do actually have 3 stops if you didn't have to leave early & the second stop is actually an iconic Halifax blues bar - very famous in the province, which we like to highlight. This said, however, we are tweaking our programming to make the experience better & invite you to come on a complimentary tour in PEI or NS anytime if you would like to give us another chance. Definitely a must do Tour in Halifax! The bike is so much fun to see the sights of the city. Our guide Amanda was so much fun. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and has fun doing it. She made the tour. Be warned the bike is loud and your legs will get a workout if you decide to pedal.

The Pedal bus was loud and clunky and the stops were nothing special or unusual. Do not waste your money. That being said, Amanda Spriggs was an outstanding tour guide! Skip the bus and find her in town doing stand up.

Thank you Robert! We did encounter a mechanical problem, which was the noise you heard. We had it fixed immediately & now the bike is quiet again. We LOVE our lineup of Sapori Italian Street Food on overlooking the beautiful Halifax Waterfront, the famous Bearly's House of Blues & Ribs, & Garrison's Brewing right at the Port of Halifax and DO consider them great stops, but unfortunately we please everybody all the time. I do hope you will consider taking another tour with us in Charlottetown either on a solar Pedal Bus or solar boat to enjoy a different experience.

Amanda was great. A little disappointed in only 3 stops and our last stop didn’t happen due to a private function. It is a fun way to see downtown Halifax, but depending on how busy the stop is, hard to get your bevy & be ready to get back in the pedal bus. It would be nice if the discounts were more than beer or wine, for those that don’t drink either.

Hi Patty! Actually, you were refunded on our end, so it's too bad that you gave our tour a bad review. This was done dispite the fact that everybody in our region was scrambling for the last few days due to Hurricane Lee, which just hit yesterday/today. I am showing that you were already refunded with Viator, but simply reach out to us if there are any issues - we're always here to help. You can also simply inform Viator that there was a cancellation and they will reach out to me. If I don't respond, then you will AUTOMATICALLY receive your refund - it is always in the passengers favour. Hoping that you will consider changing this review as it is not accurate. Thank you! UPDATE: Just checked the Viator system and we are showing that this cancellation refund WAS DONE. I sent you a text showing the screenshot. Again, if there is any problem receiving a refund through Viator, then it is best to inform us FIRST so that we can assist, rather than wait & assume something that is not accurate and not allow us to help even if there is a problem.

Amanda was a great captain. We ended up with a private tour with just my husband and I. I am glad it wasn’t cancelled because we had a great time. Amanda is very knowledgeable about Halifax and knows everyone at our stops. We had some amazing beers/ciders and lunch. Highly recommend!

We went on the evening of July 27th and we were quite impressed with the professionalism of the young men who was taking care of us for the tour. He knows how to get people spirits high and this with fun and laugh without letting it get out of hand. What a great and mostly fun way to break the ice on your first trip to Halifax. I recommend this as 'a must do' in your visit to Halifax, a 5 stars plus for sure (5*++).

Hi Anne - very sorry we couldn't get you out on a fun Party Bike tour the other day. The bike DOES require a little bit of pedal power and we DO mention that we need at least 4-6 people to power the vehicle. We do have an electric motor which makes it easy to pedal, but it is not sufficient to use with just 2 people, unfortunately. There were simply not enough people wanting to go on a tour during your time slot. Please do not use this as a reflection of our tour as it is a parameter that is beyond our control.
