We could not have asked for a better tour! Adriana was kind, knowledgeable and fun to have along for the ride. This experience had everything we were looking for in our short visit, and more! The Zipline was a challenge (be prepared for an arm workout!), but the hot springs were sooo relaxing to follow up. I was a little bummed that rain and clouds obstructed our view of the volcano peak, but what can you do? I enjoyed the time in the van, being able to look out and enjoy the eye level view. They kept us well fed throughout the day, but my favorite thing to try was the cas juice at the waterfall lookout.

Guide was at pickup location and easy to locate when departing ship. He explained what order the events would take place prior to leaving. Along the way, he told us about the history, culture, and answered questions. During our time on river, the boat driver ensured all could see the wildlife. Our next stop to bridges was breath taking. As we progressed to each bridge, he took photos using our camera. I would would recommend this tour.

We brought a group of 19 college students. The guides are great, they speak good English, and they were very charismatic with us. Zip lining was our favorite, then repelling. The horseback riding was fun, ATVing was good too, but they don’t let you go very fast, which was a bummer.

Bit of a long ride to the volcano from our hotel on the coast but worth the trip. Bring rain gear and comfortable hiking shoes. Wonderful 1-2 hour hike through the volcano rainforest. Weather (rain) really cut down on what wildlife we were able to see. Hanging bridges were a lot of fun. Our guide Juan was great and Rudy our driver was really efficient on our drives. Food was great, especially breakfast which provided a great view. Hot springs were a relaxing dip after the long hike. Lunch was very good at hotel with a beautiful view. Again the rain spoiled the views.

This was such an amazing experience and the best horseback riding on the beach experience I’ve had. Jordan, our tour guide, was spectacular, allowing us to slow down and take photos when we wanted to. He was very attentive to the inexperienced writers in our group. The horses appear very well cared for and are very well behaved. Overall, a wonderful experience I would 100% recommend and I would do it again. One suggestion is make sure your ankles are covered either with higher boots or socks. Because the stirrups can rub against them and cause bruises. The beaches are stunning and we got to see monkeys and iguanas on our trip.

Our Gio Tours excursion from Puntarenas was fantastic, but honestly, our guide Juan was the absolute star and the reason it was so memorable. Without his incredible sense of humor and engaging energy, the day could have felt routine—he kept everyone laughing, relaxed, and fully involved from start to finish. The port pickup/drop-off was seamless, the fruit market stop was delicious (those fresh mango samples were out of this world!), the Tarcoles River pontoon cruise delivered wild crocodile sightings and many birds, and the authentic Costa Rican lunch was plentiful and tasty. Juan brought the wildlife, culture, and history to life with fun facts and great stories. Gio Tours delivered a perfect mix of adventure and local flavor, but Juan’s witty personality turned it into something special. Highly recommend—5 stars, especially for him! 🌴🐊 Thanks, Juan!

This was an amazing experience! We got to see dolphins and a whale on our trip and then enjoyed swimming off the slide and snorkeling! The food and drinks were delicious and so fresh! Kevin and Minor were great guides throughout this experience, I highly recommend!

Fran, Anita and Jorge were wonderful guides. They were polite, knowledgeable and easily able to communicate in Spanish and English. They offered fascinating insights into natural history, biology and Costa Rican history. The lunch served was incredible and the pace of the day's events were very manageable. It was a wonderful experience which we'll highly recommend to friends and family. Muchas gracias y pora vida!
