Great tour! Our guide Johnny was great at spotting all types of animals and was very knowledgeable. He accommodated our time schedule but still felt like we got our money worth. Also was great at taking pictures of us along the way. The waterfall itself is a decent walk up and down but worth it for the views. At the end of the hike we finished with fresh coconuts from the stand!

What a fantastic experience! Byron was an amazing guide—extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. We learned so much about animals and plants, had an incredible time, and enjoyed every single moment. I would 100% recommend Byron as your guide!

We had an excellent experience with our guide Manfred - he was very excited to share his deep knowledge of the rainforest plants and animals and was very friendly. We saw toucans, white faced monkeys, an ant eater, a vine snake, hummingbirds, and a coati. While the stairs to the river were cut off half way, we still had an excellent time.

This was fun! Our guide Manny (I think Manifred might be the full spelling of his name) was so knowledgeable and personable. He was also very patient with us since we had my 77-year-old Mom in our group, and she needed to take her time navigating the rocky portions of the trail and the steps down to the waterfall. But we took our time, and she safely managed the whole hike.
We learned about a lot of wildlife along our hike, and Manny stopped multiple times to help us get a closer look at some that he was able to spot with his well trained eyes.
At the end of the tour, we were given watermelon and pineapple to share, which was a fun and refreshing way to wrap things up!
I’d highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area, and be sure to request Manny as your guide!
Two things to note are that 1) swimming isn’t permitted at the waterfall due to safety concerns and 2) when you arrive, you’ll need to look for the Rio Celeste Nature office to meet your tour guide before proceeding to enter the park. This seems like common sense, but we went straight to the park line for admission and were told we needed a code for entry, which our tour guide at the Rio Celeste Nature office of course had. Sharing this so others don’t make our same mistake. :-)

We had a great time on this trip. Alphonse was very informative and he even accommodated a mess up (on our part of course!). The falls and the rivers were amazing and we went kayaking which was a blast. We also had lunch and it was excellent. Who said the rainy season in Costa Rica would be great?!

Extremely bad experience, the tour operator did overbooking and cancelled the tour 2 hours before the start while I was driving to the location. They sent an email, not a phone call or a text and i found it out when I arrived there after a 2 hours drive. Then offered me to do something else and then they told me I didn't have to be nervous. I turned around and went back to the hotel with another 2 hour drive...
When I contacted the customer service of viator the guy told me I don't have to worry they'll refund the activity... when I asked him who's gonna refund my fuel, parking fees and time he didn't reply and told me that they'll improve for the future
It was not my first experience with Viator, I did 4 activities with them this week and everything was good but seeing how they behave when there is a problem I'm not going to use the service anymore

This wasn't really what happened. You booked at 10:00 p.m., 6:00 a.m., they informed you in different ways of the cancellation of the activity. In the same way we could help you by changing the schedule as we did with more clients. But when you arrive, disrespectful with inappropriate words, we prefer not to have a relationship with you. We are a work team that gives our best every day. We would have gladly taken you to other activities and the hike at another complimentary time and covered all your expenses. You weren't nervous, you were disrespectful.

We had a wonderful time on this hike. Our guide Alonzo was very knowledgeable and patient with our group. He showed us the different types of vegetation and explained about the various fauna. Highly recommend this service.

The powerful falls were quite majestic. The trail is an easy task, perfect for those not so athletic. I liked our guide, she was very knowledgeable.
