This was a wonderful adventure for all. The trip was both enjoyable and memorable. The snorkeling was somewhat limited but the water, drinks and catamaran trip were outstanding. The food exceeded our expectations and the sunset on the way back was magnificent. The crew was helpful and respectful. Our 75 person boat was only about 45 people so that made the experience even better. Might be a little different with a full boat. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and I would highly recommend it to others!

Great trip. Awesome friendly crew. Good drinks good food. Beautiful little cove to see rays, pufferfish, turtles and the guide saw a small nurse shark in the rocks.
Food and drinks were great. Boat ride was amazing, the boat was big, comfortable and clean. It wasn’t the best snorkeling but that could have been partially due to the weather, it was quite windy. It was a bit more of a party crowd than we would have preferred.
It was well represented by how it is promoted. We did not see any whales or dolphins but the sunset was beautiful.
We added this experience to our honeymoon, and it was a great choice! The crew was friendly, and there were staff walking around offering drinks from the very beginning, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only thing to note is that there was no snorkeling.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The biggest concern was safety—there were no life jackets available, which is a fundamental requirement for any snorkeling excursion.
We had also requested a vegetarian meal when making the reservation and were assured it would be provided, but no vegetarian option was available during the trip. That was frustrating and avoidable.
The snorkeling itself was underwhelming. There were virtually no fish or other marine life to see, making it feel like a waste of time.
On the positive side, the service from the crew was friendly, and the drinks were good. However, I wish the guide had spent more time sharing information about the local geography, wildlife, or history, as that would have made the excursion much more engaging and worthwhile.
Unfortunately, the overall experience did not live up to our expectations.
The whole experience was relaxing and a great opportunity to get out on the water. It was a great experience!!
Super fun! Don't let a rainy day scare you away. It was raining the day we were supposed to go on our cruise but the captain said we were still all good to go and we are glad we listened. There is only 35 people on board because a bunch of them bowed out because of the weather. Their loss was our gain. About 25 minutes into the cruise the weather cleared up and it was absolutely beautiful. They took us to a private beach that you can only get to by boat. We got to swim out from the catamaran to the beach have a nice long walk and swim in the ocean. Drinks were flowing and Good vibes were there! Definitely recommend
The crew was great, the food was amazing and the views were spectacular!! Highly recommend this excursion…just do it!
An unforgettable afternoon adventure
Snorkeling was the highlight—crystal-clear waters filled with vibrant fish and even a few stingrays gliding by. The crew impressed us with freshly prepared food that was far better than expected. Unfortunately, heavy rain rolled in before sunset, cutting the trip a bit short, but it hardly diminished the experience. Overall, a fantastic outing that I would gladly recommend to others.
You get to spend a lot of time on and in the water (if you want in). The crew is very helpful and friendly. Captain Andre is very nice and handles the boat just fine. Drink options were excellent and no one got too crazy with the open bar. The food was moderately good with plenty of fresh fruit. Don’t do this if you don’t want to relax and party and maybe meet new people. Don’t do this if you need to be pampered and don’t want to walk barefoot on a hot boat.
Great time. The crew was great, especially Fabi. Sailed into a cove, 1.5 hr swimming stop. Lunch and sunset on the way back.

This was a very long excursion with almost no activity. You basically just ride on a boat for 1.5hrs with ~70 other people, spend about 45 minutes floating in the ocean (they ran out of snorkeling equipment, only about half the boat got it, but there was absolutely nothing to see), then come back. Food was ok and drinks were free if you like that, but I would not do this again.
A very relaxing day at sea. The crew took very good care of us. Lunch was good and the sunset was amazing!
This was our second cruise with Marlin Del Rey. We had a great time once again. Good food and nice crew! Bring your family or friends, suntan lotion and a towel.

We were worried about the heat with my mom who is older but there was plenty of covered room in the bar area that had a nice breeze to stay cool. Room for about a third of the group to sit at a time. Never had to stand when I didn’t want to. Food was good and guides pointed out wildlife as we went. Overall very pleasant and enjoyable.
The meet up and quick boat ride to the catamaran was smooth. Lots of space on the catamaran to find the perfect spot to enjoy the tour. We were fortunate enough to spot a whale on the tour :) Lots of time for snorkeling and floating in the ocean, taking in the gorgeous views of the coastline. Crew was amazing - they put on a yummy and plentiful lunch - open bar was also perfect. The catamaran was clean and the crew worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was taken care of. The views of the sunset don’t miss and certainly a bonus from the water. Certainly recommend this tour.
The catamaran cruise was a fun experience. You take a small motor boat from the shore of the beach to the catamaran. Once on the catamaran, you find a spot and enjoy the beautiful views and ride to the destination beach where you can swim to shore on a lovely sand beach that was very secluded or snorkel to see cool fish! The crew was so nice! They came around and made sure you were comfortable and brought you drinks. We had about 45 mins to explore and snorkel, then boarded the catamaran for lunch. It was marinated grilled chicken with rice and beans with nacho chips and cookies. Edible, but not gourmet by any means. Then we sailed back in time for the sunset. I didn’t like how crowded the boat was. There were not many comfortable places to sit. There are 2 bathrooms aboard, so that was nice and convenient. We also saw whales breaching the surface on the way back which was a fun surprise. If you’re looking for something to do to enjoy the beauty of CR, I would definitely recommend this trip.
This was a lovely afternoon, sailing on the water and having the opportunity to swim in the ocean! The lunch was delicious and the drinks plentiful. Our excursion ended as the sun went down. We got to view a beautiful sunset from the deck.
Well with the cost. A fantastic experience for my group of ten. I highly recommend. The sights were beautiful. The captain and staff were amazing.
This was a lot of fun. My three kids loved it. It was relaxing. The snorkeling was great. We had an amazing fresh dinner prepared by the guys on the boat. Drinks were all included. The sunset was perfect. This is a great time for all ages!!
Friendly crew, safe, saw dolphins up close to the catamaran, good meal and open bar. Water was warm even in December made for comfortable snorkeling. Beautiful sunset.

The crew is excellent! They took very good care of us the food was good and there was plenty for everyone. Great Pina colada. On the ride we saw Sea turtles, dolphins and whales. A baby whale gave us a show splashing and jumping out of the water! They provided snorkeling equipment but you can't see anything because the water churned too much but I suspect that it's always like that. We had so much fun.
This was a great experience. We took a small boat to the catamaran which took us out about an hour and a half. The snorkeling experience wasn’t as organized as we’ve had in the past. They didn’t have life jackets for everyone which I didn’t like. But the drinks were steady, the food was really good and the staff was very very nice.
