Begin your full-day Costa Rican adventure with pickup from your accommodation in Fortuna Town.
Then head to Arenal Volcano Park for a 2.5-hour hike traversing flat grounds and rocky terrain to witness the remnants of the 1968 eruption and learn about the volcano's history.
Then, after a short drive, arrive at La Fortuna Waterfall, where a 500-step hike awaits. Take a refreshing swim at the waterfall's base before heading to the Mistico Hanging Bridges for a 2.5-hour hike through the primary rain forest. Cross 16 hanging bridges and marvel at the Mistico's natural beauty.
Concluding the tour, you'll be dropped off at your original departure point.

This tour was absolutely incredible! Our guide, Juan Carlos, and driver, Argenis, made the experience unforgettable. Juan Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife—he pointed out sloths, monkeys, spiders, toucans, and so much more with such detail and enthusiasm. Walking through the hanging bridges was magical, and the waterfall was truly breathtaking. On top of it all, the food was a solid 10/10. Everything about this tour was well organized, safe, and full of adventure. Highly recommend to anyone visiting—you won’t regret it

Wow! What an awesome tour!! Kat, our tour guide was knowledgeable and had a quirky, fun sense of humor. This tour is comprehensive, so if you don't have many days in Costa Rica... this is the one! You do a hike, then waterfalls, then hanging bridges. We saw wild monkeys, a boa constrictor and a wild boar. Amazing tour!!!

Had a very pleasant day with Green Vacations. Pick-up was right on time, the guide first took us to Arenal Hanging bridges, took his time to spot animals and take some picture of them through his lens. The volcano hike was a nice experience as well. The waterfull is certainly very nice! Would recommend if you need a tour of the higlights in La Fortuna.

Catalina was a great guide! Alot of walking in this tour but definitely worth it. Saw so many different animals and learned so much. She was so passionate about animals and plants.

This is a great way to see it all! Will was the best tour guide we have ever had. The rainforest was the best. The volcano hike was way too hard for anyone except a seasoned trail hiker. It is rough!! The steps to and from the waterfall is also over the top except for inclined conditioned walkers. The water is extremely cold as well. The rainforest was worth it all. A must do. Also ask for Will.

We were a group of 4 friends, and two others joined us for this tour. So our group size was manageable, so everyone could keep up and hear our guide Pablo. We were rained on several times during the day. Pablo amazed us with the breadth of his knowledge on a variety of topics, ranging from geology, to plants, and insects. He made the tour very informative and enjoyable, in spite the weather. The lunch stop was good. Our driver Harry was also quite goid.

This was honestly one of our favorite experiences in Costa Rica! From start to finish it was such a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Catalina (Cat), was absolutely AMAZING! She was so funny, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about Costa Rica—the land, animals, plants, history, and volcano. She had a way of explaining everything that made it so interesting, and you could genuinely tell how much she loves what she does. She truly made the experience so much better!
We were lucky enough to see so much wildlife, including toucans, monkeys, owls, sloths, frogs, spiders, wild turkeys, and so many beautiful birds. Cat had a telescope with her so we could get a closer look, and she helped us take pictures throughout the day. She also took tons of pictures for us and sent us the amazing photos afterward, which was such a thoughtful bonus. Our driver, Gio, was also wonderful—very friendly, professional, and always getting us where we needed to be on time (actually early!). The bus was comfortable and had AC, and pickup and drop-off were super easy.
The tour is definitely active, so be prepared to get your steps in! 😂 There is quite a bit of walking, including going up and down around 500 steps, and some of the uphill sections are steep. But Cat made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time, and it was completely worth it. Lunch was also provided, which was a nice bonus after all that walking!
I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Rica. You get to see some incredible places, learn so much about the country and its wildlife, and experience things you really can’t replicate anywhere else. If you get Cat as your guide, you are in for an AMAZING experience! She was truly the highlight of our day, and we left feeling like we had learned so much while also having an unforgettable adventure. 🇨🇷❤️

We had such a fun experience on this combo tour! Our tour guide, Wil, was great and made the day enjoyable from start to finish.
The Hanging Bridges were one of our favorite parts. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and we were able to see so many different types of wildlife along the way. It was a great opportunity to slow down, enjoy the rainforest, and take everything in.
The Arenal Volcano hike was definitely a workout, but worth it! Come prepared with good, comfortable shoes and plenty of bug spray. You’ll appreciate both by the end of the hike.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to swim directly in the La Fortuna Waterfall area during our visit, but it was still an absolutely beautiful sight. We were able to get into the river nearby, which was incredibly refreshing after all the walking.
And when you finally make it back up all those stairs to the top, treat yourself to a drink! 😂 Their drinks are STRONG, but if your little twinkle toes are hurting after the hike, trust me…it’ll help! 🍹😂
Overall, it was a long and active day, but a beautiful way to experience several of La Fortuna’s highlights all in one tour. Definitely recommend!

An absolutely amazing tour!!! I was nervous about the hanging bridges, but after crossing the first one, I loved all the others. The views of the volcano were breathtaking and though the steps were a bit intimidating, the waterfall was the perfect ending! Our tour guide Catalina (Cat) was funny, witty, and just a wealth of knowledge on all things Volcano, waterfall, hanging bridges, and all things nature! Our driver was great as well. Thanks for a memorable birthday trip!! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

I absolutely LOVED this excursion! I wanted to get the full experience of all of the hot spots in La Fortuna for my first visit to Costa Rica. Mission complete with this tour!! **Beware** This tour can become physically exhausting if you're not prepared. It's a full workout! Bring your rain jacket/poncho, umbrella, water bottle, and sturdy hiking shoes/boots. I did this excursion solo and I didn't feel alone. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Tour guide (Cat) was AMAZING!! Very knowledgeable and comical. Lunch was also great! I recommend booking this excursion.

Brian was honestly the best tour guide we could have asked for. He was so genuine, kind, and incredibly passionate about Costa Rica and its nature. You could tell that he truly loved what he was doing and genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible.

Will was awesome throughout the whole excursion. Gave clear instructions prior to the day and detailed explanations of what to bring for each experience. Took the hassle out and made the whole day smooth and fun. Would highly recommend you book this trip if you would like to see all three places in a single day. There will be lots of walking but nothing to strenuous for the average person. About 4 miles in total. Lunch was great and enjoyed this thoroughly.

Cat was our guide and knew so much about the wildlife. She did a great job stopping to show us creatures we could never spot and shared amazing photos with us that she took with her camera/telescope thing. We got awesome photo ops, too. The Hanging Bridges were intense if you’re afraid of heights but worth facing your fear. Bring waterproof rain gear!! We had plenty of time at each place and the ride was comfortable. 10/10 for Cat!
The most amazing experience. Pablo our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable, he could spot animals from afar. We had incredible views of the volcano, spotted lots of animals and waterfalls very stunning. Lunch also great.

I tour guide Will was amazing! Very knowledgeable and personable. He knew my partner and my names very quickly along with the rest of our group.
The walk up to see the volcano was at our own groups pace however he took the time to speak to people individually and ensured everyone was ok.
We saw many animals at the Mistico Hanging Bridges and Will very kindly took photos and videos using his telescope which we both appreciated.
The waterfall water is extremely cold and very powerful and it was very crowded with people waiting by the sides. I would recommend taking very little down with you as it poured heavily with rain and there is absolutely nowhere to shelter.
There was a variety of lunch options and the food was very tasty. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour! The three adventures—the Arenal hike, hanging bridges, and waterfall—made for a full day of walking, but it was absolutely worth it. We saw sloths, monkeys, and even an anteater! Beautiful experience at the Volcano park (it was too cloudy to see the top of the volcano the day we went, but I still had a great time just being there. The hanging bridges park (Mistico Park) was awesome, we saw many cool and rare animals there with the help of our guide we saw pizotes, a bat, various frogs, snakes (safely) and monkeys. At the waterfall park we saw a sloth up close. It was a great time. There are a lot of stairs through. Be physically fit and prepared if you go on this tour!

We were met very promptly at our hotel and the whole tour ran very smoothly. Our guide, Bryan, kept things moving at a good pace with humour and experience. The walk at the Volcano was fairly short and easy, though unremarkable as the Volcano was shrouded in cloud (not his fault of course!)
The section at Mistico was really good…Bryan guided us on the hanging bridges walk and found lots of wildlife that we would not have seen otherwise. In fact, we probably wouldn’t have spotted any of the wildlife without him. The hanging bridges were great - lots of them, really high, really long and good views.
The final section at the Waterfall was also quite quick. A ten minute walk down the steps, a quick look at the waterfall (spectacular) and then a 10 minute walk back the same way. Lots of less fit visitors were struggling on the way back up. We couldn’t swim as the recent rainfall meant the waterfall was very powerful- it would have been very dangerous to swim in those conditions.
The lunch at the tour company cafe was really tasty and they were very careful with choices and allergies.

Amazing experience!!! Our tour guide Wilber was extremely knowledgable on everything we saw and made this experience worth while. Got to see so much wildlife (monkeys, poisonous frogs, snakes, sloths, etc). Wilber even stopped the van when he spotted a sloth in a tree on our way to lunch so we got to step out of the van and take some pictures!
Also got to meet/enjoy this experience with some cool people along the way :) our group was small so it felt like more of a special experience. Wilber made sure we all felt comfortable and checked in on all of us individually throughout the entire day.
It may sound like a lot in one day, but by the end of the entire excursion my friend and I didn't want it to end! Book this if you're only in La Fortuna for a limited amount of days. You won't regret it!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and interacted with every member of the group and was attentive to group members that had injuries and adjusted the pace of the group well. It was a fun trip , but your calves will hurt for days after doing the waterfall lol.
