If you’re on the fence because of some of the negative reviews, don’t be. We almost let them scare us away, but we’re so glad we took the chance because this ended up being one of the best excursions we’ve ever done and we travel quite a bit.
Josh was an incredible guide from start to finish. He made the entire day fun, organized, and memorable. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone in his group to have an amazing experience.
The cenotes were absolutely breathtaking. They were crystal clear, incredibly clean, and so much fun to swim and explore. The tequila tasting was quick but delicious, and the pork tacos afterward were fantastic and a perfect way to wrap up the experience.
We also added the photo package, and it was definitely worth it. It ended up costing us about $1 per photo, which is an unbelievable value compared to most excursions. The pictures captured the day perfectly.
This was honestly one of the best excursions we’ve ever experienced anywhere. Looking back, I can’t help but think some of the negative reviews are from people who simply aren’t happy with anything. Our experience couldn’t have been more different.
If you’re visiting Cancún, book this excursion. If you get the chance, ask for Josh as your guide. We’d do this again every single time we come back. It was an unforgettable day and worth every penny.

Miguel is an amazing tour guide. He has great energy and is a pleasure to be around. The Cenotes were very refreshing and clean. This is a must do in Cancun.

Check in could be more efficient. Afterwards there is about an hour dinner/fire show/sell pics which I get, but I was ready to leave.
The cenotes were amazing. Our guides Miguel and Kevin were a 10/10. They helped make an already magical experience more fabulous. Would recommend to anyone that asks.

i would not call 25-30 people in a group that overlaps and shows up on top of other groups at the same spots small group by any means. You also only get about 15 min at each spot after travel. This was very misleading from the photos and descriptions. We took friends who have never been to cenotes before. in the past we had always had much better experiences on similar tours that were way better.

Hi Gary, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear your experience wasn't as enjoyable as you had hoped. We regret that the group size and time spent at each cenote didn't meet your expectations. We'd like to learn more about your experience. Please contact us through our official social media channels and share more details about your visit so we can review your case and follow up accordingly.

This is not a half day excursion- it’s almost 5 hours, and also includes a small meal (that you get billed for ant the end) and a show. If you are looking to swim in cenotes for a half day experience, this is not it. You will constantly be bombarded to spend more money. And the experience is in Cancun! If you are staying in Tulum and filter by Tulum excursions, this pops up. You will ride in a van with no air conditioning for roughly 1.5 hrs both ways!! Do not be fooled- description is not accurate.

BUYER BEWARE!!! This is so commercialized, we chose this experience to avoid the commercialization and it was everything we didn’t want. They try to upsell you from the minute you walk through the door. It was estimated to take 4 hours and we were held hostage at some stupid taco lunch for over an hour. They refused to let us go back on an earlier shuttle.

This place was not a good experience. They took 1.5 hours picking up people. Then when we got there we found out it was this touristy spot. Did not allow us to take in our own cameras and then wanted to charge us $75 for pics. Forced everyone to stay until the other tours were done Charged us $22 for 4 sodas and fries. Our tour guide was very nice and the tequila tasting was good. I will not book with this company again

BE WARNED: they scam some people about buying their water shoes or extra packages. They say the water shoes are mandatory, but will deny they ever said that.
To Viator who denied my refund request:
They lied to you about their policy versus practice, and they lied to me at the beginning of the excursion and scammed us into paying $50 American for water shoes. I highly suggest you do research and remove them from your platform. They tell some people that it’s mandatory, and force them to buy the shoes. But their “policy” is that it’s fully optional. They scam few enough people that they stay under the radar. I’ve been to 27 countries and never have I experienced a large operation like this scam so well. They distract, empathize, and then at the very end of the excursion, are extremely rude and intimidating. Most would not speak out like I did, or they would just write a negative review on Google. But those reviews get drowned out by the hundreds of positive because they fly just under the radar with scamming.

Once at the Ceynotes, we had a great time. The company tried to charge is an additional $15 USD (cash) per person "Reef Tax". When I showed them the Conservation Fee was included, that did not try to collect. This information was messaged to us the day prior. When we arrived, the Tour Company was pushy and tried to get us to buy unneeded items/packages. Miguel was our guide and was very nice. The Tequila Tasting was also a great experience.
ValeriaCustomJewelry, Jun 2026
The cenote are unimpressive and not like what you see pics of online. Also, they made us sit for an hour afterwords while they just tried to get more money out of us by selling pics fiod and drinks. We wanted to keave, but were told the driver was in cancun

We loved the 3 cenotes and tequila tasting excursion. Be prepared for a bumpy ride on dirt roads to reach the destinations. Staff were attentive and guided guests through each step of accessing the cenotes via stairs or jumping platforms. They do ask you to “ upgrade” your booking when you first arrive to have additional food/ drinks- we did not and grateful as time was limited and would not have wanted full bellies prior to the bumpy ride. The water was beautiful and returned to base camp for tacos and the option to purchase pics taken by staff during the excursion. We did elect to purchase a bottle of the tequila which was presented during the event. Overall we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the excursion!

It is a bit of a gimmiky tourist trap, but if you're into that, it's good? The workers were all kind and efficient.
Chansey_M, Apr 2026
Amazing experience and excellent value. Out guide Miguel was a lot of fun. The cenotes were beautiful. Plenty of time. Tacos were so yummy.
Ramzi_T, Apr 2026
This experience ended up being a very good time, in large part because of our awesome tour guide Francis. The cenotes were beautiful and Francis was a lot of fun. I was also impressed by the tequila tasting: a learned a fair bit and the liquor quality seems very good.
There are a few things to know about the experience before you book though. Firstly, this is not a “small group” experience. Extreme Adventuring Cancún is a very touristy place with MANY people and our specific group was about 15-20 people. Secondly, the zip line mentioned in the listing is a small one that drops into a cenote, not a larger canopy zip line with harnesses, etc. That was no problem for us, but if you’re looking for a combo experience, this isn’t that. Thirdly, they will try to get you to buy water shoes at the beginning of the experience: you don’t need to at all. It felt a little scammy and wasn’t a great first impression. Finally, I’d love it if they gave a little more background about the cultural significance of cenotes to the ancient Aztecs and Mayans. I seem to recall learning in school that they were sacred, and I would have loved a refresher while visiting.
Overall, this was a fun experience and as long as you go into it with eyes wide open you’ll have a great time.

They do not allow you to bring your phone. They don't want you taking pictures so that you'll be forced to buy the ones their "photographer" takes
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi, thank you for your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear that this aspect of the experience was not what you expected. For safety reasons and due to environmental regulations, the use of phones and personal cameras is not allowed during certain activities, especially in cenotes. These measures are in place to protect both our guests and the natural environment.
We understand how important it is to capture memories, which is why we offer an optional photo service provided by authorized photographers.
We appreciate your comments and will continue working to improve how we communicate these policies to our guests before their visit.
Breanna_O, Mar 2026
I had a great time and our guide David was a lot of fun! They recommend water shoes and they can be purchased there if needed. Also no phones or cameras allowed in the water, they can be used at cenotes just not in the actual water, so they have a photographer there and you can buy the pictures after. The tequila tasting was informative with local tequila and the option to buy a bottle to take home. Overall would recommend experience to anyone!
Samichhya_t, Mar 2026
I am still laughing from the tequila tasting bit because the presenter Ignacio (Nacho) was HILARIOUS, informative, confident. He is a character! Our guide Luis was friendly and led us through all of the different cenotes. I felt very taken care of and tended to. The cenotes were great and the only thing I would change is adding more time to each cenote but honestly, you get 30 minutes at each one so that’s pretty good! The zipline cenote is super fun, and we had a good group around us full of lovely, kind people. My group was very encouraging when I tried to jump off the board into the second cenote but ultimately did not make it 😂. I liked the tacos we got. It did not feel like two hours to get to our cenotes from our pick up location. All the cenotes were pretty close to each other. AMAZING!!!!!!
joy_p, Feb 2026
Watch out for scammers who will try to force you to pay for water shoes. He made it seem like I can't participate for the excursion unless I pay additional for water shoes! I did pay and realized the rest of my group didn't have the shoes. Other than that the actual excursion WAS IMMACULATE LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️ Definitely recommend and the authentic tequila was FANOMANAL!!!!!
Shiv_K, Feb 2026
Activity was great and lots of fun. Tequila tasting is too long and should be optional.
Viator messed up our booking and the activity operator was very un-accomodating and not helpful.
Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the activity.
We’re sorry for the confusion regarding your booking and any inconvenience this may have caused. This is not the experience we aim to provide. If possible, please share more details about what happened so we can properly review the situation with our team.

We had a great time. The tour guides were very friendly and informative. The tequila tasting was awesome. The photographer was great and took very nice photos. Overall I would recommend this tour for a group.

This was a great experience. They picked us up from our resort and stopped at two other resorts which took approximately 2 hours to finally get to the check-in at the Cenote’s. We went to three Centote’s for about 30 mins each with a tequila tasting after the first one. They do not include towels so make sure you bring some. You finish off with tacos and a show. Overall, the entire crew was great and if you’re looking for a first time experience of the Cenote’s this is a great one!

Wild ride through the jungle. Three cenotes to swim in. Great staff. Good lunch( not included but it was reasonable). Fun dance show. Learned only Blue Agave 100 percent is the only true tequila. Fellow tourists were fun and happy. Recommend.

Guide Chris was amazing. Cenotes were amazing.tequila tasting was awesome. Highly recommend. Will do again
Corbin_B, Jan 2026
My wife and I had a fun time exploring the 3 cenotes. It was an interesting and enjoyable swimming time. We also liked the tequilla tasting. There were a few downsides, however: This is a large, commericial enterprise designed to separate you and your money. Bring your aqual shoes, as they will pressure you to rent theirs if you don't have them. Upon arrival, they pressure you to buy an additional food program (all you can eat in the limited time you're in the waitingarea). The tequilla tasting goal was to sell you their tequilla (the owners produce this). At the end the tour they dump you out in an enterainment stage for aboutr 90 minutes. The fire dancers were fun, but the main goal is to sell you food and drink. This was not optional -- you had to stay there until your van pickup arrived. Also, the ride to the first two cenotes in a wooden-plank benched bus, was quite long (at least 30 minutes) and unconfortably bumpy. Although we had a good time, in the future I would opt for a more naturual, eco-focussed tour.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed exploring the cenotes and the swimming experience, as well as the tequila tasting.

This was such a fun experience and I tried something I never thought I would have tried. It was also beautiful and the price for the photos at the end was extremely reasonable compared to other places. The tour guide and the tequila was the highlight
Jane_V, Jan 2026
This trip was WONDERFUL!!!! The cenotes are BEAUTIFUL!!! Our guide Miguel was AWESOME!!!! Photos were AMAZING!!!! The fire dancers were FANTASTIC!!!
mary_t, Dec 2025
A very worth while experience… swimming in the water holes and transportation going to them … staff was amazing
Zi_Z, Nov 2025
3 cenotes, very commercialised experience, the water pool is cool if you first time experiencing it. Every step of the way you can feel the commercial selling pressure. For the same price other groups offer free lunch, but you have to pay extra here, and spoilers, the food was mediocre to say the best.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Hi Zi, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that parts of the experience felt too commercial and that the food didn’t meet your expectations. That’s not the impression we want to leave.
Your comments about the overall flow, pricing and the feeling of pressure are very important to us. We’ll review them carefully with our team to improve clarity and guest comfort throughout the experience.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps us make meaningful improvements.
