Amazing value

Good Fun! But not quite as advertised…

Ramzi_T, Apr 2026
This experience ended up being a very good time, in large part because of our awesome tour guide Francis. The cenotes were beautiful and Francis was a lot of fun. I was also impressed by the tequila tasting: a learned a fair bit and the liquor quality seems very good. There are a few things to know about the experience before you book though. Firstly, this is not a “small group” experience. Extreme Adventuring Cancún is a very touristy place with MANY people and our specific group was about 15-20 people. Secondly, the zip line mentioned in the listing is a small one that drops into a cenote, not a larger canopy zip line with harnesses, etc. That was no problem for us, but if you’re looking for a combo experience, this isn’t that. Thirdly, they will try to get you to buy water shoes at the beginning of the experience: you don’t need to at all. It felt a little scammy and wasn’t a great first impression. Finally, I’d love it if they gave a little more background about the cultural significance of cenotes to the ancient Aztecs and Mayans. I seem to recall learning in school that they were sacred, and I would have loved a refresher while visiting. Overall, this was a fun experience and as long as you go into it with eyes wide open you’ll have a great time.

Do not go on this excursion - there are better alternatives

Cassandra_L, Mar 2026
They do not allow you to bring your phone. They don't want you taking pictures so that you'll be forced to buy the ones their "photographer" takes

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that this aspect of the experience was not what you expected. For safety reasons and due to environmental regulations, the use of phones and personal cameras is not allowed during certain activities, especially in cenotes. These measures are in place to protect both our guests and the natural environment. We understand how important it is to capture memories, which is why we offer an optional photo service provided by authorized photographers. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to improve how we communicate these policies to our guests before their visit.

I had a great time and our guide David was a lot of fun! They recommend water shoes and they can be purchased there if needed. Also no phones or cameras allowed in the water, they can be used at cenotes just not in the actual water, so they have a photographer there and you can buy the pictures after. The tequila tasting was informative with local tequila and the option to buy a bottle to take home. Overall would recommend experience to anyone!

Amazing, hilarious, entertaining, fun, safe

Samichhya_t, Mar 2026
I am still laughing from the tequila tasting bit because the presenter Ignacio (Nacho) was HILARIOUS, informative, confident. He is a character! Our guide Luis was friendly and led us through all of the different cenotes. I felt very taken care of and tended to. The cenotes were great and the only thing I would change is adding more time to each cenote but honestly, you get 30 minutes at each one so that’s pretty good! The zipline cenote is super fun, and we had a good group around us full of lovely, kind people. My group was very encouraging when I tried to jump off the board into the second cenote but ultimately did not make it 😂. I liked the tacos we got. It did not feel like two hours to get to our cenotes from our pick up location. All the cenotes were pretty close to each other. AMAZING!!!!!!

Great experience just watch out for scammers at excursion

joy_p, Feb 2026
Watch out for scammers who will try to force you to pay for water shoes. He made it seem like I can't participate for the excursion unless I pay additional for water shoes! I did pay and realized the rest of my group didn't have the shoes. Other than that the actual excursion WAS IMMACULATE LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️ Definitely recommend and the authentic tequila was FANOMANAL!!!!!

Activity was great. Tequila tasting is too long and should be optional.

Shiv_K, Feb 2026
Activity was great and lots of fun. Tequila tasting is too long and should be optional. Viator messed up our booking and the activity operator was very un-accomodating and not helpful.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hi Shiv, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the activity. We’re sorry for the confusion regarding your booking and any inconvenience this may have caused. This is not the experience we aim to provide. If possible, please share more details about what happened so we can properly review the situation with our team. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Awesome Excursion

Great first time experience

Luis_S, Feb 2026
This was a great experience. They picked us up from our resort and stopped at two other resorts which took approximately 2 hours to finally get to the check-in at the Cenote’s. We went to three Centote’s for about 30 mins each with a tequila tasting after the first one. They do not include towels so make sure you bring some. You finish off with tacos and a show. Overall, the entire crew was great and if you’re looking for a first time experience of the Cenote’s this is a great one!

Wild ride thru Jungle to cenotes

Guide Chris was amazing. Cenotes were amazing.tequila tasting was awesome. Highly recommend. Will do again

A fun, but highly commerical experience

Corbin_B, Jan 2026
My wife and I had a fun time exploring the 3 cenotes. It was an interesting and enjoyable swimming time. We also liked the tequilla tasting. There were a few downsides, however: This is a large, commericial enterprise designed to separate you and your money. Bring your aqual shoes, as they will pressure you to rent theirs if you don't have them. Upon arrival, they pressure you to buy an additional food program (all you can eat in the limited time you're in the waitingarea). The tequilla tasting goal was to sell you their tequilla (the owners produce this). At the end the tour they dump you out in an enterainment stage for aboutr 90 minutes. The fire dancers were fun, but the main goal is to sell you food and drink. This was not optional -- you had to stay there until your van pickup arrived. Also, the ride to the first two cenotes in a wooden-plank benched bus, was quite long (at least 30 minutes) and unconfortably bumpy. Although we had a good time, in the future I would opt for a more naturual, eco-focussed tour.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed exploring the cenotes and the swimming experience, as well as the tequila tasting. We’re sorry to learn that other parts of the tour did not meet your expectations. While optional services and add-ons are intended to enhance the experience, we understand how the way they are presented can affect overall enjoyment. Your comments regarding transportation, timing, and the commercial feel of certain areas have been shared with our team for review. We truly appreciate your visit and your honest perspective, as feedback like yours helps us continue improving our tours.

Risk Taking

Azure_G, Jan 2026
This was such a fun experience and I tried something I never thought I would have tried. It was also beautiful and the price for the photos at the end was extremely reasonable compared to other places. The tour guide and the tequila was the highlight

Must-do Magical Cenotes :)

This trip was WONDERFUL!!!! The cenotes are BEAUTIFUL!!! Our guide Miguel was AWESOME!!!! Photos were AMAZING!!!! The fire dancers were FANTASTIC!!!

mary_t, Dec 2025
A very worth while experience… swimming in the water holes and transportation going to them … staff was amazing

Very commercialised business

Zi_Z, Nov 2025
3 cenotes, very commercialised experience, the water pool is cool if you first time experiencing it. Every step of the way you can feel the commercial selling pressure. For the same price other groups offer free lunch, but you have to pay extra here, and spoilers, the food was mediocre to say the best.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Hi Zi, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that parts of the experience felt too commercial and that the food didn’t meet your expectations. That’s not the impression we want to leave. Your comments about the overall flow, pricing and the feeling of pressure are very important to us. We’ll review them carefully with our team to improve clarity and guest comfort throughout the experience. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps us make meaningful improvements.

Very nice day

Irma_K, Nov 2025
Places were beautiful. Well organized, Miguel was very friendly and polite . Tequila testing was very fun

Great time

Maria_G, Nov 2025
Very adventurous and exciting only use this tour if you love the outdoors and water. Some walking so make sure you’re not handicapped because it’s stairs and is in the Jungle. The tequila was great we had about 8 shots

Enjoy the Centoes

Heather_C, Nov 2025
From the very beginning this was a great experience. Our driver was timely, friendly and informative. The guides at the cenotes were fun and made an effort to make sure all in our group understood exactly what they were telling us about the history of the cenotes and the things we were experiencing in two languages. I was sad to see how poorly other guests were tipping.

It's almost a theme park

John_M, Oct 2025
Note that this is in a big activity centre. There's a lot of music, a lot of people, it's definitely not the quiet tour we were expecting. But the actual experience was still good, we had fun.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Hi John, thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you still had fun and enjoyed the experience. Our park combines adventure activities with a lively atmosphere, but we understand that some guests may prefer a quieter setting. We truly appreciate your comments and will keep them in mind to keep improving every day.

A good experience

Melissa_H, Oct 2025
The guides were friendly and gave good details about the cenotes. The tour ended with us being told there would be a show that never happened and everyone just sat there not really sure what was supposed to happen. They are very clear on how much time you get at each cenote in the description which was nice. The end of the tour just made us feel a bit trapped there.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Response: Thank you, Melissa! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the cenotes and appreciated our guides’ explanations. We’re sorry for the confusion at the end of the tour and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Your feedback helps us ensure all scheduled activities are communicated clearly and that every part of the experience feels smooth and enjoyable.

Very misleading

Chris_B, Aug 2025
This says it is a three hour tour. It is far from it. We were picked up at 7:50am, spent 90 minutes picking up other parties. We got back at 3:45PM. The cenotes were part of a big park and you had to load into this huge jungle truck that beat the hell out of you for a good hour. The cenotes were so overloaded with people and they were not clear water like other less traveled cenotes we have visited thru Viator. We were not impressed at all. Besides that, our driver did not speak English.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations, especially regarding the timing, transportation, and the crowded cenotes. We understand how this affected your overall impression and will be reviewing your comments carefully with our team. Your feedback about communication and the driver’s language skills is also very important, and we’ll take it into account as we continue working to improve. We truly value your honesty, as it helps us enhance the experience for future guests.

Constant upsell and begging for tips very annoying

Mark_U, Aug 2025
This is not a 4-hour tour as advertised, but over 7 hours from hotel pick up to drop off. Our guide Luis was terrific and the cenotes were fun. The constant upselling and groveling for tips left a bad taste in my mouth, and the overall experience felt very industrialized and artificial. Wouldn’t repeat or recommend.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Hi Mark, we’re glad you enjoyed the cenotes and that Luis made your day better. We’re sorry the rest of the experience didn’t meet your expectations. We’ll share your comments with our team, and invite you to connect via our official social media for any further feedback.

1/10 wouldn't recommend.

steffnel_n, Aug 2025
The tour guide and the photographer were the only good thing about this tour. We only spent 20 minutes at each location. Tequila tasting took the entire time at the second cenota in which we did not even get to get in and swim. After 1 or two jumps you have to move to the next location. Do not pay for the upgrades.. we were promised unlimited snacks and food as well as alcohol to only be denied food at the restaurant, no alcoholic beverages were even offered other than watered down margaritas and modelo beer that everyone received.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience — we truly appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoyed the company of our guide and photographer. We’re really sorry to hear the rest of your visit didn’t meet expectations. That’s definitely not the experience we aim to provide. If you're open to it, we’d love the chance to follow up and make things right. Please email us at customerservice@extremeadventurecancun.com with the name and date of your reservation so our team can look into this personally.

Cenote Jumping Fun and Yummy Tequila!

James_D, Jul 2025
Great tour guide Eric, and the tequila history lesson and tasting was fun and interesting! The coffee tequila was a group favorite! You get 30 minutes for each cenote, which felt like a decent amount of time. Lots of fun jumping off all the platforms! They also have a rope under water where you can hold on and chill in the water while you watch everyone else jump off the platforms, great idea instead of treading water. Also, bonus excursion was the bumpy road ride with an open air vehicle we rode in (to get to the cenotes) on a fast, bumpy, and curvy dirt road. And the two shrimp tacos were a great little post hike snack! Also, normally I hate haggling or turning down photos that the tour guide provides but these guys aren’t pushy at all, very considerate and friendly. And they took amazing photos if you do want them. You even can take a picture of the Mayan dancers after their performance for no additional cost. The only thing I wish I knew, was how far the excursion was from our hotel for their transport. The cenotes are west of Porto Morelos. It was about a 1.5 hour drive for us. Not a deal breaker but might be for some.

Great!! But no real lunch

Thomas_M, May 2025
The cenotes were awesome and the staff Luis and Mike were the best. The only thing was the final cenotes was not small group and the lunch at the end was not much to be considered lunch.

Must book!!

Alexandria_B, May 2025
This was an AMAZING experience. 10000% recommend!! The cenotes were so beautiful and water felt soooo good. ALL of the tour guides were so awesome and made the experience so much fun! They take tons of pics of you and your group that you can later on purchase for a great price. My group and I LOVED this excursion

Family Cenote trip

anna_l, Apr 2025
Our guide, Chris, did a wonderful job! Communication before, during, after was great. Our transportation did drop us off at the wrong location initially so make sure know where you’re supposed to be going, but he picked us back up shortly after! The cenotes were beautiful and it was a fun vibe. Was a highlight of our trip!

Very touristy

Jessica_C, Apr 2025
Went with a group of friends. Expected it just to be our van full of guest with the driver to be our guide. Nope he drops us off and this super busy and packed location with a DJ, shop and other touristy experiences. It took 1.5 hours to get there and then it would take 4 hours for the tour and we would be stuck there until 5pm. Then another 1.5 hour drive…. We had many friends coming to the hotel that day so we ended up getting an Uber home. Two of our friends stayed and just said it was okay. We ended up wasting 3.5 hours. Just a super touristy trap where everything costs extra money. NOT PRIVATE

Tour guide never...

Seema_B, Apr 2025
Tour guide never communicated with us about pick up location and we ended up missing the tour. Horrible communication in general and we were on our 1 yr anniversary
