We had a brilliant time at Lone Pine. All the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the sanctuary and where things were when asked. It was fabulous to see so many Australian wildlife around.

Had a lovely day out with the family. Our nieces son really enjoyed feeing the kangaroos and seeing the farm animals It was also great to be able to feed the cockatiels and, later on, the sheep. William really enjoyed meeting the farm animals as well. It was good to see the koalas, flying foxes, reptiles, crocodiles……etc
It was interesting to listen in on the crocodile talk and see the raptor display.
Very enjoyable day out and will definitely come again. Was last here 25 years ago!
Response from Host, Apr 2026

We're delighted to hear that William and your family had such fun seeing the kangaroos, cockatiels, and sheep, and that you enjoyed the crocodile talk and raptor show. It means a lot that you returned after 25 years - we can't wait to welcome you all back again soon!

If you’re looking for koalas then this is the place for you because they’re everywhere. This sanctuary was beautiful. They had great shows to teach you about the animals. It felt very inviting and it was a lovely place.
DEBORAH_M, Apr 2026
What a lovely relaxing place to visit on your own pace. Great for an after travel day to be active at a slower pace.
Trina_S, Mar 2026
Such an amazing place! Lots to do and see. Had really great shows included with admission. Would highly recommend visiting.
Sampath_C, Mar 2026
I love to watch the animals in their natural habitat, it is not possible to see rare animals like Platypus, koalas, echidnas in their natural habitat in one day but this sanctuary made it possible.
Leah_D, Mar 2026
Great place, but felt overpriced compared to what you're and to see and do at Australia zoo. We weren't able to see very many animals here due to the way the enclosures were set up, but the staff was excellent, and the cafe food was good.
Andrew_W, Mar 2026
This was a brilliant experience so relaxing seeing over 100 Koala’s. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Take the 430 bus from Brisbane it will only take 45 minutes. 10 out of 10.

A fun experience in Lone Pine, definitely recommend. You can see so many koalas there. Even better is to pay extra for the Koala experience, you would get to take pictures and touch them.

Grate experience with koalas and kangaroos!
And much more with unique animals!!!
But price includes only entry!! Photo with koalas, rides to and from the Loan Pine Koala Sanctuary are extra ! You can take back from the park wonderful boat ride !

Brilliant experience. Animals well cared for. Keepers are very knowledgeable and friendly.
Places to get food, drink and souvenirs.
We had a 15-min up-close visit with a koala where we were able to pet the koala and get lots of photos with him. We were also able to get close to the kangaroos, feed and pet them.
Great experience and the money goes back into the sanctuary for research and caring for the animals. Well-worth going to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary!

The Lone Pine sanctuary was so much more than we expected! I had hoped to see a couple of koalas and they had more than 75 in a natural habitat that you were easily able to see them and get great photographs. They had so many animals and we also enjoyed what appeared to be hundreds of kangaroos just roaming around and you could get up close and personal with them. With my dream of Singa koala, this facility more than met my expectations and we are thrilled to recommend it completely.
Megan_P, Feb 2026
Just wonderful. Amazing to be so close to the animals. We did not know that we would be petting kangaroos!
James_B, Feb 2026
Very much worth the fee, it was AWESOME!!
Highly recommend seeing this place and supporting all of what they do
Jacquie_D, Feb 2026
Animals appear to be well looked after, staff are very friendly and take time to talk to visitors about the animals in their care. There are a lot of bolt-on packages which keeps the initial price down and lets you pick what interests you
Eric_L, Feb 2026
I was a bit worried when we arrived as the koala tours were all full. But there are so many koalas and we were lucky to see them at feeding time around noon. And then the kangaroos. Wow. So glad we went.
Majella_O, Feb 2026
Staff are so welcoming & helpful and when giving the talks they make it so interesting and informative. We really enjoyed the experience.
Jennifer_J, Feb 2026
Hands-down a bucket list experience suitable for all ages. Very easy to get to via public transportation (Bus line 430) from the city — bus stop is right at the sanctuary.
Enjoyed seeing the exotic animals especially all the koalas not in cages and the kangaroos out in the open where you can feed them!
Happy to support this wonderful cause.

Amazing place! Just a short transfer from the City. We got an Uber but River Cruise options are available. Personally I think you need longer than the River Cruise timings allow.
Lots of Koalas, Kangaroos, Dingos, Tasmanian Devils, Birds, Wombats (not that we saw one), Sheep and Sheep Dogs, Falconry, Platypus, Reptiles and a Crocodile.
Small cafe on site with drinks and snacks. Plenty of seating.
Can be hilly but good accessible friendly paths.
Gabby_J, Jan 2026
My husband and I went to this Sanctuary. It was well kept and great to see the koalas. Very welcoming professional staff. Does not take long to walk around the place. We finished in 2 and a half hours. Thought the shows were quite short though compared to other animal places. But well worth seeing.
Harry_S, Jan 2026
Fantastic place, lots of Koalas and Kangaroos. You get up close and personal with all of them. A must see when in Brisbane.
Jessica_R, Jan 2026
As an American, I’ve always dreamed of coming to 🇦🇺. Along with that, being able to interact with Koalas and Roo’s was a must! The experience was everything I dreamed of and I’m so glad I did it!!! Book the Koala experience!!!!
Nicole_W, Jan 2026
I love Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary — just a short bus ride from the Brisbane CBD (yay for 50-cent fares 🙌). There’s something so special about spending time with the kangaroos 🦘, koalas 🐨, dingoes, and all the other beautiful animals.
Honestly, I don’t care how old you are — this place is pure joy. One of those experiences that never gets old and always leaves you smiling 💚
Muhammad_M, Dec 2025
Staff are truly very passionate . We did this as a lay over in Brisbane was too long . Took an uber both ways , also had booked an experience for the Koala encounter our guide Zane was amazing .
Lissa_b, Dec 2025
Our first adventure in Australia started at Lone Pine! We loved it. The Kangaroos and Koalas were a huge highlight but the entire park was enjoyable and a must see.
Response from Host, Dec 2025

Our group of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary! We were able to feed the Kangaroos as well as see many animals native to Australia! It was well worth out time and we felt like it was a good value!
Response from Host, Dec 2025

This cute sanctuary only took about 2 hours to walk through. It was the perfect way to interact with Australia wildlife not too far from the heart of Brisbane (~20 min from Fortitude Valley).
When you arrive, definitely purchase the Koala experience near the cafe to get up close and personal with a koala (you can pet, but they no longer allow you to hold them).
Maria_H, Nov 2025
If anyone wants to see Australian wildlife go to to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. I went with my sister and brother in law from Canada and they loved it. They fed the kangaroos and had a wonderful experience.
Zahra_R, Oct 2025
I really enjoyed seeing and filming the koalas in their little tree habitats. They were sleepy heads in the morning but around 1 pm was their feeding time and they were awake and active. Best time to catch a video. The bird exhibit was awesome as well. Feeding the kangaroos was an experience similar to feeding goats in a farm. Kangaroos are gentle and friendly animals. You can easily pet them and they are harmless. There were not any good eating places within the sanctuary. We took a bagged lunch and that came in very handy. Overall we enjoyed spending the time from 10 am to 4 pm in the lone pine koala sanctuary.
