- Your accommodation will require a credit card pre-authorisation of AU$100 per day plus AU$200 refundable bond to a maximum of AU$500. In the event that no credit card is available, full payment and a bond deposit of AU$100 per day to a maximum of AU$500 is required.
- Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.
- Please note we do not carry children under the age of 1 and no refund will be given.
- Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
- This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
- The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Amazing! Everything is taken care of! Love that they provided a secure car park at the Marina in Hervey Bay! The entire experience was great from beginning to end! Food was great everywhere, it was a perfect amount of time at each landmark we stopped at. Hayden was a fantastic you guide! Charismatic, well organised and very knowledgeable. It was great learning about the islands history.
My only complaint would be the accomodation, I personally would upgrade to a room with AC next time as it was extremely hot and the rooms are very basic.
Regardless of this though, I would love to be back in the future to re-experience this beautiful island with this great tour organisation!

Great time, tour guide Dean was top notch and clearly loved his job and even sorted us out with some spare towels as we had none (we thought we’d check into the accomm before starting the tour) which was very appreciated. The gluten free options were great over all and the buffet was great too. A 3 day tour would’ve been great to be able to see more of this amazing island, but if you only have 2 days, this is perfect!

A truly unforgettable experience. Spending two days on the island learning about its history and heritage, as well as the absolute beauty of it, was incredible.
Our tour guide Keith was amazing – funny, knowledgable, and really cares about the island and making sure everyone has the best time.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. To top it off, the sunrise on the beach is beautiful, as is the optional addition of the 15-min scenic flight.
Highly recommend to everyone!

I had absolutely lovely time on this two-day-trip. There was a lot of time in each stop. You could just relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. Our guide Andy (Andrew) took very great care of us during whole trip and he made our trip magnificent. He was totally professional in his job. Andy had so many stories about the island's history, the Butchulla people, dingos etc. I highly recommend to book this trip with K'gari Explorer Tours. It's worth of every penny.

Must do! Brilliant 2 day tour with Andy as our guide. He was knowledgeable about the island (and funny) An absolutely brilliant trip even in the cloudy rain! The hotel was nice too with a lovely evening meal.

We had such an incredible time on our 2 day trip. Lake McKenzie and Eli Creek were a big highlight for us. We chose to do the 15 min flight from the beach which was seriously amazing, definitely glad we took that opportunity!

A unique experience to visit a sand island in an off-road 4WD bus. Really unspoilt island with opportunities to view dingoes in their nature habitat. We really enjoyed the 5K walk and walking through the creek. The hotel was comfortable for the overnight stay. Would thoroughly recommend this trip.

We booked the Explorer 2-Day Tour to make sure, that we get to see most of the highlights of Fraser Island. That was the right decision because you need much time of the day in the bus or on the ferry to get to your sightseeing spots. The Tour Guide was nice and we saw a lot amazing spots but we wish to got more Information of each spot for example how long we can spend time there, where are we going next, what to bring, etc. Our favorite spot was the champagne pools. We loved it there. It was also not easy to understand the strong accent of the tour guide when you are not a native speaker.
The stay in the resort wasn't so enjoyable. Our room didn't have air con so it got stuffy in the night. The included lunch was nothing special and not worth it. We were a bit disappointed by that. The Dinner is not included in the package and you have to eat there because you don't have other options but the dinner was much better than the lunch. On the second day the lunch was just a sandwich. All in all we had a great time and would recommend the trip. It was a once in a lifetime experience to spend time on this wild island. But you should definitly bring your umbrella. The wheater changes very fast.

We rented a car, drove 6 hours to Rainbow Beach to be told there was an issue with our reservation and we would not be able to get on tour.
I had received a text hours earlier with the confirmation of our booking and details for departure ....
After many calls they FINALLY facilitated a refund, but offered nothing else. We will likely never be back in Australia so missed this experience. The company had the audacity to tell us that they could not do more for us, because it would be a financial hit to them. Terrible customer service.

The tour itself was great, we saw dingoes, swam in beautoful lakes and had a great gime overall.
However, next time I would not book through viator again. In the booking it said we could be picked up at rainbow beach, so that is where we were. As it turns out, this was the Hervey Bay tour and thus we should have been at the pick-up location there. This caused a lot off stress and a less enjoyable start to our tour than could have been. Therefore, be mindful when booking through Viator and if you can, book through the tour organization straight away.

We had a FANTASTIC time on a 2 day tour and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Everything was so good. We seen many Dingo's and some beautiful scenery. Our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable. The 2 day tour is not rushed. Our over night stay at K'gari beach resort was beautiful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff at the resort were very friendly. We did our tour on the 7 & 8 August 2023. A GREAT TRIP....!!!!

Too long drives in between activities.
It was overall great to see Fraser Island but 1 day would have been enough.
Due to high tide in the morning, we did the rock pools on the first day. We drove back and forth 2h to be there for 40mins.
The guides were very knowledgeable, the accommodation was also good.

Our tour guide Mark was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about Fraser Island and you could tell he was truly passionate about his job. The stops on the tour were all breathtaking. You have to see Fraser Island in real life to appreciate its beauty. We had a brilliant time and would recommend everyone to do it.

We almost missed tour because we couldn’t find the picking up bus. Tried to call the agent phone number but couldn’t dial through because that’s outside of your operating hours (8:00 am Australia eastern time). We were waiting for someone from the agent or tour operator to call us but nobody called us.
